Run the .bat files and tell me what they say
Here is the output of one of my batch files.  I downloaded the new v.04 that is on page one of this thread.
Windows 7

cmd returns this:
date: started cgminer 3.1.0

started cgminer 3.1.0
probing for an alive pool
network diff set to 99.8m
long-polling activated for http://localhost:8332/lp

Then the windows error "cgminer.exe has stopped working" comes up.
I have the stratum protocol working and it says connected (on the gui) to the pool.

EDIT: here's the picture

Definitely a SCAM.  This guy Took all of my FTC over a few days in 20 FTC increments.  Lots of them each day.
Not just a SCAMMER but a thief.

He did not respond to my email to his website address, a PM, or this forum. It has been one week.

The website appears to be down and hosted by godaddy.com  Sent email to FTC-WALLET.COM@domainsbyproxy.com as listed from godaddy to see what's up.

I agree, all of my miners on two systems say connection problems, or just aren't reporting on the coinotron stats page.

**EDIT**  I quit all of my miners completely and started them over again.  One I had to delete the miner from coinotron and recreate it.  That may have been a fluke though.

Re: How To Get Ripple Address/Account?

I went to that link, put in a random name for a wallet and a password and I can't click create.  Anyone else having the same problem?

I did find a page that said "New to Ripple? The Ripple Wallet is still in limited beta, let us email you when it is ready for a sneak preview!" https://ripple.com/wallet/

*EDIT* I found out that not all passwords work.  I tried a really complex password and they matched but it didn't work.  So I tried 123456abcd### as the password and it showed the create button come up.  So I put in a different realistic password and I was able to create it.  If one doesn't work try another one.

This thread is total BS, they are not crediting anything for a while now. Fair warning before you even bother registering.

I registered, but it said they weren't taking new registrations right now.  What kind of business strategy is that?

Anybody knows how to configure mining proxy (winver) to use with getwork?

I have a lot of cpu* getwork miners runing in a corporate intranet, and connect to my mining prox outside listen in 80port (due restrictions of corporate proxy cant connect to non HTTP ports), and my minprox is stratum to pool. Can´t connect direct miners to getwork pool due nature of ports involved.

*Yes, I know that CPU mining is "not reliable", but with a lot of machines, and not paying for power, I get some uBTCs every day

And stealing electicity and computing power from your employer.  For micro bitcoins get them free here

So I've been using the mining_proxy.exe and then pointing cgminer to localhost:8332

Should I disregard that and use cgminer with stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333 instead?  I try to put in stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333 and it hangs and quits.

Re: GUIMiner-scrypt: A GUIMiner fork for mining scrypt chains

I had an issue with GUIMiner it said I was getting have as many khash/s but my coinotron worker said it wasn't getting anything.
I stopped it and tried to restart it, nothing happened when I clicked start, it didn't even change to stop.  So I deleted it and redownloaded it.  Made sure Litecoin blocks were caught up, started the stratum proxy, and then started GUIMiner.  I know the worker and password are correct.

This is what I got:

It just sat there, I stopped it and started it again without any luck.  Any thoughts?

Windows 7 64bit
ATI 5870 (default)

I have the log file if needed:

2013-04-15 19:28:24: Listener for "Default" started
2013-04-15 19:29:25: Listener for "Default": [2013-04-15 19:28:24] Started cgminer 2.11.3

2013-04-15 19:29:25: Listener for "Default": [2013-04-15 19:29:25] Please check the details from the list below of the servers you have input
2013-04-15 19:29:25: Listener for "Default": [2013-04-15 19:29:25] Most likely you have input the wrong URL, forgotten to add a port, or have not set up workers
2013-04-15 19:29:25: Listener for "Default": [2013-04-15 19:29:25] Pool: 0  URL: stratum+tcp://coinotron.com:3334  User: WORKER  Password: PASSWORD

Is the stratum in the gui actually connecting to the stratum of the pool.  I tried it with stratum set to "No" and it did the same thing.

No stratum log:
2013-04-15 19:32:33: Listener for "Default": [2013-04-15 19:32:33] Pool: 0  URL: http://coinotron.com:3334  User: WORKER Password: PASSWORD

But they both return starting and nothing else.

The stratum proxy was working fine until I rebooted my computer.  Now it throws errors.  I have restarted it twice and nothing has changed. This is what I am getting.

Also in GUIminer-scrypt alpha it is pointed to coinotron.com:3334, do I need to point it somewhere else like a local host to get it to use the stratum proxy?

I am an ASIC and I've seen my rewards shrink by quite a bit. The current Pool GH/s is being shared among many more users than normal. At the current rate I am only seeing about .25 BTC per hour.

Well that's too bad  Huh I was mining at .001 per block with 2 GPUs.  Stopped that.  Be happy that you are earning ~$55 an hour.

Can someone explain how average hashrate is calculated?  And why does guiminer report that I'm receiving 20-30 Mhash's more than what this says?

It looks like at the moment you are running at about 840Mhash/s.  So average hashrate is the last ten rounds combined.  So if you have been using that same hashrate since you started mining it would been that about 6 of those 10 rounds you have been mining 840 Mhash/s.  Note this is only a guestimate.  It's like saying I am currently running at 100Mhash/s and have always done that.  But I only did it for five of the last 10 rounds so my average hashrate would be 50 Mhash/s.  If you stay steady at the 840 for ten rounds then it should show an average hashrate of 840.
