I think that by the habits built with social distancing will help out with people's health. Less people will get sick and miss work, go into debt, etc. And other things will eventually bounce back.

Re: $900K worth of counterfeit U.S. currency seized

It does seems like most countries in the world do have the capability of creating counterfeits that are almost identical to the real US dollar. I wonder how common it is. Like I imagine Venezuela being able to do that. Wouldn't that better their economy?

The idea of every freaking company creating their own crypto is disgusting and would kind of lead to a bubble and over saturation. They don't need their own coin.

Interesting concept, but should put a sort of description of what it is in the title. Like "Lider Token Project reward employees and customers." Though I clicked to see what it was about.

Any new news? I went to the Gladius website, blog, twitter and no new news. Is the project dead?

This project died a long time ago. And SEC set them up return the money back to investors or they should register their tokens as security. But seems they dont want do this. Read the post above. As I understand they registered in USA?

Are you saying that they didn't return the money and registered?

200 pages already Shocked. I try not to post here as often, since it's best to post elsewhere, and not just do generic "Privcy is number 1" posts, plus the Discord interactions is the best. So this caught me by surprise. Hope we continue the success.

Soon WP comes out and we as a community will become more confident. Because i am sure the devs are preparing some unique features.
everyone is waiting for the White paper and its coming very soon.. Wink right now just hold your priv in this red market.. dont panic and hold

Indeed PRiVCY is amongst the few coins that are not sinking terribly and has a good support level, so HODL your PRiV tight and let the blood bath pass Cheesy !

Too many people are freaking out, PRIV will survive this, people dumping are just being silly, settling for pennies. Guaranteed a year from now you'll look back and cry remembering the scraps you sold for  Wink

Exactly! People are just selling off their free coins to settle for pennies. When this project moves forward, price is bound to increase with the inflow of more investors and the release of the Whitepaper. They are going to regret it so bad.

Exactly, I will never understand why someone would choose to sell coins that they have gotten for free for pennies. It just doesn't really seem worth it, unless they are literally starving. But I don't think these many people are starving. I just appreciate what I've been giving, and just hold on to it, not even think about making a profit, but more as an experiment of where it can go.

Re: Cryptocurrency marketcap decreases but number of exchanges increases?
by
tinyblue
on 09/08/2018, 21:35:02 UTC
After peaking at approx $800 bil in Dec 2017, cryptocurrency market cap gradually decreased (~ 289 bil on 23 Jul 2018). But in contrast, the number of exchanges increased dramatically during that time.
Do people want to grab a piece of a smaller cake or they believe the cake become bigger? I am so doubtful about the latter scenario.

Your whole thinking is off. Why shouldn't the number of exchanges increase just because the market crash? Would they still not collect fees from people trading and make money? What smaller cake, the market is still larger than it was a year and a half ago, probably a year ago. Grab a piece of the smaller pie. That's like saying why would anyone want to buy the dip, why not wait until it's at an ATH to get in.

Re: 700 usd to invest
by

The biggest mistake I made was just investing wildly without having much knowledge, being new. So I suggest just keep those 700 in Bitcoin, and then do a lot of research. The key is to be patient and don't fall for, "Lambo, this coin is going to moon."

That's every newbie's mistake. They join the van of Lambo songs and get easily swayed. The best way is to observe for several months if possible. Losing out on what could seem like a FOMO driven coin or investment can save you a lot of heartaches especially when you don't understand trading signals.

Yeah, it's all a learning process that seems never ending. So for me now the focus is on completely not following my emotions, and too not be greedy. Forget about that fear of missing out, and if I do endup missing out, don't be greedy about it. Chances are I will save myself from making many mistakes overall.

Re: [ANN] TOKEN SALE - Gladius Network [GLA] - DDoS Protection On The Blockchain

I'm concerned about the negative trust rating in the OP. I checked the trust and it has nothing to do with Gladius, and the person who started this thread has not posted anything Gladius related in many months.

So is the OP not part of the team? If not, the team doesn't have a Bitcointalk presence?

I agree with you that it's not good to see that person having negative trust. Some just post the announcement for others as it seems, but still I would watch out for someone with neutral or positive trust ratings to post an announcement for me.

It's recent though, the trust rating wasn't there a few weeks ago. And it seems that the person got it for advertising his services of running campaigns or something.

It's evident then that that person broke some rule and I wonder why would that happen if you know that you also have some responsibility towards projects you are posting announcements for?

Hopefully the Gladius team will run their own ANN thread when things pick up. Having a negative trust rating is not good for potential investors to see, especially for an OP that hasn't commented anything in this thread in months (or maybe even ever).

I bought some Gladius last night, using Eth. That's why I think the price was up 3% on eth, and like down 2% on Btc, when I checked an hour ago. My demand made the price rise a little. I think that's funny.

Anyway, looking forward to the future.

Even when it's all time high I think people should get in, just to be in. Of course when it's all time high I recommend putting in something like $20 to $100.

A lot goes  into it, and luck is a major factor. But it also requires some intelligence and self control. How many athletes just lose tens of millions of dollars simply because for reason they can't stop spending it?

It's hard on the newbies, they're less knowledgeable, and they need merit to rank up.

It's hard to post quality posts, so who's going to give them merit???

But some need a certain amount of posts to join campaigns.
