Why Smart People Never Bring Smartphones Into Meetings!
by

on 02/08/2018, 12:18:12 UTC
Do you bring smart phone to meeting? Meeting Etiquette is important and being able to focus in the conversation is the key to show your team that you listen. What has been effective for me is to set some ground rules at the beginning of an important meeting. I.E. If you need to brainstorm and need full attention from your team.

Not easy to spot a scam project.

If you want to organize a decent bounty company you need to cooperate with a good bounty Manager. He will tell you how to do correctly. A good bounty Manager will not work with Scam projects.

Re: How can we push Bitcoin to full, mainstream adoption?
by

I agree with this statement.  "it's been proven that real estate is a better source for money laundering than Bitcoin or cryptocurrency".  There are many foreigners come to the US to purchase real estate.  1. They want to hide their money.  2. Put their kids in a good school system.

------------------
Similarly besides its high value, the anonymous and untraceable nature of Bitcoin transactions makes it such a perfect currency for criminals. Bitcoin has attracted considerable adoption by criminal dealers on dark marketplaces using it as a convenient medium of exchange. From drug gangs in Spain, money launderers in the US, cyber-crime gangs in Russia to kidnappers in Turkey; all have found motivation and convenience in using Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to complete their underworld transactions unnoticed.

Just to dispel this notion once and for all it's been proven that real estate is a better source for money laundering than Bitcoin or cryptocurrency: https://www.cryptoglobe.com/latest/2018/06/bitmex-easier-to-launder-money-with-usd-real-estate-than-crypto/

Re: What are AirDrops exactly?

During the development of your company, your coin/token is worthless if no one know about it.  One of the marketing strategy is to give away token to attract people.  I participated an airdrops recently at luvdubcoin where all I have to do are a few simple tasks.

Re: Time to stop using Bitcoin as a form of investment and start using it as payment
by
tnguye01

Can't wait for that day!  Remove all the middle men!

Listen to me.

Look I know we are a free community, but come on don't you think the price has become so volatile during the past few months just because people started using it as a form of investment. I've seen people buy in low, in hopes of selling it at high, and that's basically pump and dump.

Bitcoin wasn't created to make us rich over night but was created so we could have control over our money and not the bankers. It was created so we could be free, so there won't be any borders telling us we are different from them so we can't trade with them. To be united, but all I see are people only talking about how much profit they've made, not about how it can help people that don't have access to banks(they do but it's a minority).

We live in a society where we take everything for granted, just like we've taken Bitcoin for granted. We don't deserve it. The ones that deserve it don't have access to it.

At the end of the day we become savages and only think about the profit not the good that it can do for us, instead of making us rich.

Yes, I was introduced to it because of the investment, but I was a fool at that time, I couldn't see the bigger picture.

We are a community created for the people, by the people.

(P.S. If you don't see Bitcoin as investment, then be proud of it, and hope it can help us be united, for it's all that we have left against them)

Where do you feel that is somewhere you need to visit before the end of your life?

Have you already checked off this place(or places)?

What is one place you think everyone should see?

Personally, I've never been to New York City or Rome. If I had to choose one or the other I would probably choose Rome over NYC just because I have an interest in the history of the Roman Empire. But in terms of modern cities I'd much rather see NYC. So it's a difficult decision really. Hopefully I can see both at some point soon.

Very nice graphical representation!

Will it be then better, than any other existing currencies?

I think this defies the definition of blockchain.  If bitcoin becomes centralized, then it is not a blockchain anymore but more like a bank.

I think you need to read more about how blockchain works.  The information below might be helpful to you:

What is Blockchain?

  • It is like a database duplicated thousand of times across a network of computers, in which the network of computers have access to the database at the same time to regularly update the said database;
  • Information are shared (and continually reconciled) throughout the whole network; and
  • Data are accessible to anyone - no centralized version exists for hacker to target to corrupt.

How Blockchain Works?

I think it is wonderfully shown on the picture below:

Re: 10 signs to identify a fraudulent ICO
by
tnguye01
on 01/07/2018, 02:23:18 UTC
Good signs for beginner!  Read this post regarding ICO fraud to learn more tips.

https://medium.com/@luvdubcoin/beware-all-icos-and-ico-issuers-part-2-333889624c87

1. Anonymous Team DEV - Fake profile

Before investing in any ICO project, the first thing we need to care about is the development team. But their names, positions, degrees do not measure the quality of the team as people often mistakenly, but the previous projects that they have made and succeed.
In short, if any ICO project does not provide clear information about the dev team or deliberately fake profile is a sign of a potentially bad project.

2. No purpose of using coin

If we do not understand the purpose of coin use, it is difficult to determine where the demand for coin comes from, and if this source of demand is not identified then an electronic money news. We do not know how it will affect the price of coin we hold.

3. Sketchy whitepaper

When referring to a whitepaper, there are two things to clarify: First, the project must provide specific and detailed information as possible. This will help the investor better understand the project and make it easier to make investment decisions.
Secondly, reading and understanding the project is an act that shows that we are more responsible for our investment. If we do not read the whitepaper and invest in losses, the first mistake is because we have not studied it thoroughly, and not by anyone else.

4. Do not provide contact

This is so obvious, because the ICO investment process is not always smooth, and sometimes we often get this error, that error, then we will need help from the project.

Without communication, what can we do now?

When investing in ICO, you will sometimes find the feeling of reading over and over again the whitepaper many times but still have not understood the point. This is the time when we will need contact information to ask more about the issues involved.

5. Commitment to profit when investing

It is difficult for a project to find a sufficiently large and stable source of capital to commit to profit for all investors every month. The truth is, business is not always convenient, sometimes development is difficult but not stable from start to finish. That is absolutely impossible.

6. Use sentences that are passive, engaging

If a project emphasizes their message is to bring in an attractive profit for you, your customers may not be what they say, but maybe their target audience is you invest.

If their product / service is good enough, they certainly bring it out, and there is no reason to hide it. The high possibility is that the dev team itself is not confident enough with its product / service to use the profit message to attract investors.

7. Use multiple buzzwords

Buzzword is one of the terms used to describe the use of high-end, dangerous, but very cliché, not informative content, intended to confuse the reader.

For those who are not professionals in the industry, hearing these buzzwords will feel like this is very specialized, majestic and specialized information. But actually they intentionally make the reader do not understand or misunderstand.

8. No roadmap or yes that is not realistic

It is difficult to mobilize capital to start a project, but using it wisely to get the project to the destination is the hardest problem. For projects that do not provide roadmap, we will not be able to know where this project will go and how.

When we do not know how they will use our money to develop the project, will you still be comfortable investing? Or, if they provide a road map, but it's a very unreasonable route, it's very difficult for the project to succeed.

9. No demo products

Easy to say, hard refresh. Obviously when you start to work then you see a lot of problems exposed. And with a project that just stops in the whitepaper, they will not know what problems can arise when deploying, so that their deployment plans will be much harder to correct.

What will happen if they plan to call $ 10 million but when they start to know that it really takes $ 50 million! Need to issue more coins to ICO next?

10. Intuition

Article 10 is based on the actual experience of the writer himself during the review of ICO projects. Invested of course everyone is expected to make a profit, but of course the risks will also be inevitable, so the spirit of your own investment must be comfortable, do not squeeze FOMO in this market.

GOOD LUCK!!!

It's a hit or miss.  You have to do a lot of research to make sure the team, the prototype/product(if they have any) are legit.  Beware a lot of scammer out there.  Don't just give out your information when doing KYC.  Check out this one, they are giving out 50 token: https://www.luvdubcoin.com/ref/170/ and their medium post regarding "BEWARE all ICOs and ICO issuers!"  https://medium.com/@luvdubcoin/beware-all-icos-and-ico-issuers-part-2-333889624c87

You’re a sad excuse for an ICO.  It is likely that your ICO failed HORRIBLY because it’s just bad and your team bought all of your followers hoping to screw other people over.  So you “paused” your token sale in March and launched it again blaming that the market was down but providing people with barely any notice of a refund and that the “five people in your circle” said let’s pause it so we can try to make more money.

It is LIKELY that you’re going to FAIL again because you and your entire team are untrustworthy which is why you have to continue to spam your channels over and over with nonsense to show activity.  Yeah you have many followers on Facebook, twitter, telegram, etc. because you BUY them.  It’s evident that you need to resort to such tactics because your level of engagement for the size of your audience is so horribly low.  Be transparent why don’t you.  You have 20k telegram users and less than 200 reddit subscribers or less than 16 pages of BitcoinTalk posts because  MOST OF THE POSTS OR CHAT ARE YOU SPAMMING YOUR OWN THREAD/CHANNEL.  Guess what?  You made your BitcoinTalk announcement in November 2017!!!!

Your own ex-community members that you screwed over are exposing your fraudulent behavior to protect the cryptocurrency community.  You change your agreements on a whim and you steal people’s money.  It’s plain and simple.  I and everyone else who cares will expose scammers like yourself so you can’t do this again. VIOLA is NOT trustworthy and will STEAL YOUR MONEY.

You guys ALREADY had your launch in March and stopped it with barely a week in because
the market was "down" and Viola stated they didn't get enough funding because of that.
Well guess what? Eth was around 550$ back in March and Eth at this time is $520 which is
even less than what it was back then! Bitcoin was around $7500 in March and is now at $6300!
Are you guys going to make more excuses and scam people out of more money? You guys
shut down your token sale first without even consulting the community and then did your
stated "AMA".

Here's a link to your own video explaining why you had to stop your sale in March.
I uploaded the video so that you scammers couldn't take it down and try to hide more of your
shady tactics.

Your poor excuse starts around 6:15
https://vimeo.com/275173821

Your Reddit and Bitcointalk posts/subscribers show how little people actually believe in the project. You buy your telegram users and steal our money. This is why you guys constantly spam your own channels with nonsense to try to show that there's activity.

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM SCAMMERS LIKE Viola.AI!!!
