Re: [ANN][ICO]COSS Token Swap ICO is LIVE

I’d say that some of the price increase is due to build up expectations of the new UI.

Price of Coss is not 1:1 correlated to the volume. If volume is 0, the price of the coin will not be 0 either. The price should also be lower if you based on the current volume atm.

Re: U.S. vs European Exchange websites?
by

on 23/12/2017, 12:32:50 UTC
I live work and bank in the US but I am a European citizen. I have two options:

A) Buy cryptocurrencies on US exchange platforms such as Kraken with a CC or bank transfer
B) Buy crypto on a Luxembourg exchange such as Etoro with a US credit card

Which would make the most sense in terms of tax/regulation/easiness to use?

Many thanks

Buying crypto on Etoro is not the same as in fact buying crypto. You do not have the option to transfer those said coins to your wallet if you at some point wish to.

If you buy crypto on Etoro you are buying at CFD which tracks the underlaying price movements of the coin.

BTC is expensive for 1 BTC yes but then buy 0.1 instead? I have 0.2 and it around 5% of my portfolio. But I am fine with it and I bought it when price for 1 BTC was around $4,000 so that is still great gains from that purchase. Transaction fees are high for transferring for low amounts of BTC, but you should just buy and hold and then we are talking about one transaction fee.

Never invest more than you can afford to lose. We might or might not be at the top of a bubble. Questioning if this a bubble I think is redundant. We have ICOs with coins that tracks the price of bananas...

Re: I want to invest £25 per month into bitcoin for the next couple of years
by

No one can know if BTC price will keep raising or not. So, no one can really tell you if it is a good idea to group your monthly £25 purchases into bigger ones. If BTC raises just as much as it has done this year it is not recommended.

I would however consider another solution which you might be on the fence about. What if you get a small loan in the bank for say £300. Transfer those £300 to kraken.com (I assume that you live in the UK and that UK are still part of the European bank transfer system). Make a SEPA transfer to kraken.com and then buy once every month for those £25.

I am not sure what interest rate you are able to get in the bank. Maybe hear your parents about a 3% loan which would still beat the fees in Coinbase etc.

Listen I am not advising you to loan to purchase BTC. I am just advising you to look at the costs related to the purchases you are going to be doing anyways.

Re: Diversifying investment portfolio: new hedge funds and VC

I would recommend you check out Coss.io to diversify your portfolio. As a Coss token holder you get fee split share of all the tokens being traded on the exchange. It is still not much but I got over $3 worth for last week in revenue fee split spread out on most coins traded on the exchange. That is for around 53k tokens held. Most of the fees where from Coss, ETH, BTC and Sub. Price of Coss is still about 30% below last high if you calculate in $ price and way below in ETH price. If you look at the price chart for Coss you will see that the price is raising lately and that is not without reason. First coin with trading promotion on Coss will start tomorrow and new UI for the exchange around Christmas time.

I only mined 1.9 LTC back in 2012 I think it was. If I had kept going I would have been a multi-millionaire but my crappy laptop made a huge noise from the CPU working at 100% capacity.

I have been wondering what they earn from if fees are zero. Can anyone elaborate on that?

What is the benefit for COB holders? Will they buy-back or will the give some other advantages or?

For the moment HODL. But once we see there being established a trading range without a clear trend channel I would suggest to sell off some of the ETHs and diversify your portfolio. It has not been the best investment to HODL ETH these last 6 months and most likely will not be in the future either.

I would for the time being pick NEO. The price has not really moved these last couple of months and it is not really reflecting the amount of news having being announced lately. Coins often tend to stabilize in some trading-range where buyers accumulate and others sell due to price not moving. If we can use comparison for other major alternative coins I really think NEO is one of the next ones to possibly test $100 token price.

I don’t think there is any scam until there are actually some Mercatox users reporting that their addresses are being emptied. I do hope that will not happen. Seems like a new scam going around every day.

Do you need a reply to participate in the signature campaign? Most campaigns you just need to sign up through a Google form and you will be added on the spreadsheet. Nice and easy Smiley

Which country are you from my friend? If you are from EU and you bank supports SEPA transfers (it’s the name of the EU bank transfer system) then I suggest you make a SEPA transfer to kraken.com and buy from them. SEPA is by far they cheapest option to transfer that I am aware of.

Never too late but you will also never not have the risk of losing it all. Bitcoin could go to zero if things go south - never forget that. Bitcoin is not backed by anything.

Re: Alt coins with great Potential
by

Hey guys,

I started looking in to altcoins recently and wanted to do some reserach and get some opinions from people before i invest in them. i wanted to check with crypto experts here about their views and opinions of some other good coins to invest in. If there are some other coins that you guys think have a better technology please suggest. if you suggest it would be nice if you can explain the reason behind it. we all can learn from each other and invest in some real deal. hoping for a constructive discussion here. thanks

Here are my picks:

Sia coin: cloud storage renting. very good idea as lot of big companies are looking for storage issue to be fixed.

Golem: u can lend computing power and earn golem for that.

Quantum Ledger : only secured chain against quantum computers

Coss: they are trying to do multiple things at one place. exchange, pos, etc. definitely a good potential there. i am not sure which ones are better than coss.

ETN: one of the biggest crowd support for an ico. lot of hype. One thing i like about it is, that they are the only one in crypto market trying to get viral with there mining on smartphone idea. obviously, its a simulation but u get paid in etn. very viral concept as anyone can download app and start mining. while all other coin are harder for general public to buy as not everyone knows how to get btc and then go to exchange for alt. too many things to follow for no technical people

Hemp or Pot coin: actually not sure which one has good potential in this weed market. they have no unique feature. but definitively it has a big industry. would love some feedback on this other coins related to this market

Thanks,
A

Coss is a good choice for the future. I have 50k myself bought on higher and lower entry levels than what the coin is currently trading at. I have around 20% profit at current price but was also in the deep with almost -50% just a few weeks ago.

I like the concept but am not entirely sure I like the execution. I think the execution is a bit slow and they definitely need someone in charge of quality control. There are too many small mistakes all the time for me to be comfortable with this as a 100% sure thing as the concept is easy to copy. Really it is.

They raised few funds in ICO and are now struggling for that reason. If they had unlimited funds they would not be in beta right any longer. But the low raised amount in ICO is also why this is such a good case. Volume was around $200k-300k daily when we were trading at these levels a month ago. It is now in the +$500k daily range. There will be trading promos soon which will skyrocket the daily volume. I do not expect the price of Coss to follow the volume calculated by ROI 1 to 1 but it will be the underlying fundamental that will give us a fine increase in the price for sure.

So agree 100 % with Coss being a no-brainer short to medium term. Long-term I expect someone to copy the concept and execute better and I will for sure be picking that coin up.

Re: Should i buy ethereum with all of my money ?

I would for sure buy a basket full of various altcoins. ETH might go to $1,000 and it might not. Etherium might be silver if Bitcoin is gold but that might not always be the case. See for instance the cryptokittes. They have clogged up the network and shown just how vulnerable the chain is.

If BTC tanks 80% do you still ETH will gain around 150%? If that happens it may actually drag down most of the altcoin market with it including ETH. We are long overdue for a correction. Entire market cap is now +$430 billion. The 15th of September it was around $100 billion. An increase in total of 330% in less than 3 months.

Re: what is reason behind fallen price of Altcoins?
by
tocketsearful
on 08/12/2017, 07:12:05 UTC
Ask yourself is 10-20% daily increase in BTC sustainable? Does BTC have a superior technology compared to the various competitors in the market that could justify these gains? If you are not able to answer yes to these questions then perhaps this could be a trend that is coursed by FOMO. This is unsustainable both long-term and short-term.

Everytime you sell an altcoin in the XXX/BTC pairings then you are adding fuel to the fire.

Buying altcoins now however could end up in a long-term hold though so be prepared for that.
