The 12 hour limit for all the round is interesting, that means more deposits and more chance to get the jackpot Smiley

I think the time is confusing

Being non-american, I was checking the time on this page http://www.timeanddate.com/library/abbreviations/timezones/na/est.html

But in fact you're using EDT http://www.timeanddate.com/library/abbreviations/timezones/na/edt.html

Not a big deal, I just missed the 7pm freeroll

edit: just found local start time line, that should help Grin

also, requesting my 100 chips, the username is toer

Re: What about a double spend attack?

Yeah I'm not asking anyone to do anything, I was just wondering. My thinking was if it was never tested, how could a protection be effective?

The example of btcguild was just to scale things, just like deepbit and bitcoins, but posting in alternate currency, i chose a solidcoin example

I'd like to know about the future of a chain who suffered such an attack too

edit: also, if a trusted member would do that "criminal things", and posting about the results etc, that would be much more informative than a bruce

What about a double spend attack?
by
toer
on 04/09/2011, 21:41:58 UTC
Just making this topic to talk about a double spend attack. I read about several times, and just wondered why, with the small hashing power of the forks, it seems that no double spend attack were done.

That could give some information to the devs if one would happen, right?

For example, at btcguild, they are having largely more than 50% of the hashing power of Solidcoin, and could make such an attack...

First, bitconduit is a great site, even though I probably haven't won a lot of coins. It's a bad news you no longer want to run it, but given all the problems happening to you, it's understandable

It would be great if bitconduit become community owned, with some shareholders for example, in order to gather the coins required. Maybe bitconduit would become the first company in the bitcoin stock exchange  Grin

I'm just giving the idea, I have no idea of the technical things to do this. But it could be interesting

I don't understand how the difficulty can lower 400% in 12 hours. If it would lower 100%, it would be 0

Negative difficulty here?

yeah, got a big one going that i put 4.9 coins in. but doesnt look like anyone wants to play  Cry

You should advertise it with a proper topic, with the amount of jackpot in the name etc so you won't lose your btc

I played and will play again if it is still on in a few hours

Nobody wants the 0.258 btc jackpot?

With an entry of 0.1 btc, you could win 2.5x your bet!
That's more than any other game, and easy to get
