My personal opinion is that we will go back to the 300-400 range.
However, I don't think we will go under 300$.

I don't understand permabear mentality. Isn't it a contradiction?

that could be someone who think bitcoin won't succeed on the long term, as simple as that.

for me i was bull on bitcoin, i bought 10 of them this summer, but then the censorship on reddit just disgusted me. I realized how few people can decide. I realized how bitcoin can be substantially changed by either the devs or the miners, and that they have too much power imo  for the coin to go big.
So yes, there are permabulls, and there are permabears

But of course, i believe now the trend is bull.

there is something fishy in huobi exchange
by

on 04/11/2015, 18:59:54 UTC
i've been observing price movements all day and it seems really fishy that huobi is always dragging all other exchanges up so much.
Something is happening in China now, either some few big hands, or either the MMM thing.

China's population is so big that you will find relatively much more people to go in a ponzi. That huobi looks like a ponzi to me.
Just to be honest.

bitcoin has been a great experiment, but the founder left the development like a coward
Now bitcoin experiment is not moving forward, developers make wars against each other, and bitcoin itself still suffesr from inherent drawback like huge carbon footprint, increasing fees, and the impossibility to scale up for going mainstream.

it's time to move on, bitcoin is just a name after all, there could be a better bitcoin, for exemple a bitcoin 2.0

Satoshi said, by 2020 bitcoin is eitheir mainstream either will disappear (quotation welcome, i didn't find it)
But how can it be mainstream with 7 transaction per second ? And if it's not mainstream, satoshi's logic woul tell us that bitcoin will disappear by 2020  Huh

The pollution from bitcoin will make government forbid it
by

on 16/10/2015, 06:18:04 UTC
Let's say some of you hope for mass adoption (do you ?)
The CO2 emissions would be way out of hand.
Gov have to make a new treaty to forbid bitcoin mining, or to allow only green energy mining.
Forget home mining since you would have to have your own solar plant.

I want to mention though that some of you in the forum have already invested in solar plant for their bitcoin miner. I would advise them to use that electricity for better use than to enable criminal transaction to occur under the radar.

Bitcoin Node Numbers Fall After Spam Transaction 'Attack'

"The number of reachable nodes has declined further following an "attack" that overloaded the bitcoin network.

Last week, an unknown actor sent a deluge of spam that left bitcoin's nodes – the clients that store and relay transactions – with upwards of 88,000, or 1GB worth, waiting in their collective memory pool.
[...]

By Thursday, node numbers on tracking service Bitnodes had dropped 10%."

bitcoin itself is pretty safe if you know how to use it properly.
But a new user has many ways of doing something bad and letting hackers take his bitcoins.
The problem is not bitcoin but the user

nobody should invest into something a few nerds (the developpers) have control over.
They could change the coins count to more than 21 millions, its just a number in the code.
The consensus ? consensus from who  Grin , the consensus is biaised since a party owns the two main media of bitcoin.
Forget about it, bitcoin is too easily manipulated by MAN

Bitcoin only charge you about 0.0001BTC-0.0002BTC or 2-5 cents per transaction.
Furthermore, there are places where you can pay with bitcoin instantly with shops which accept 0 confirmation

your argument about low fees for bitcoin transaction is invalid since the main source of income for miners will gradually become the fees (source : Satoshi)
Miners and banks will very soon have a common way of making money.

I mean come on, all the network is deemed to works on fees, and you're not even mentionning it

if the info is false and misleading could you provide the evidences instead of criticizing the poster ?

Besides, if there was only a bullish news thread, that would look like propaganda forum.
Also i think OP should keep this thread clean and only keep the news posts (deleting my messages also)
