No It is still exploding. Most of the action is in alt coins now. Look out for ICOs with solid plans. Look out for bounties and signature campaigns.

Are there more Ethereum users compared to Bitcoin users.. From values I can find online it seems there might be more Ether wallets compared to Bitcoin wallets.

Now further Ether growth rate is about 100000 /day. If that growth rate would to continue there would be 3 million users more every month. Monthly user growth for Bitcoin seems to be around 1 million . Now people can use multiple wallets, but it should not affect the comparison. If this were to continue we should see a definite increase  in Ether prices as opposed to Bitcoin and a possible replacement by Ether as major currency by marketcap..

Slight change.Some cryptocurrencies will end badly. Others will not. U need to pick the right ones.
 I  think Buffet has underestimated what has been created here. A good crypto programme is like a living thing. U send it into the computing world and it has a life of its own. U can hardly kill it anymore than u can wipe out a bacterium. Cryptocurrencies strike at the very base of what a currency is. It is more basic than say coins, fiat currency etc. It is a bit like the Rai stones used by Yap people in the Pacific, except that the whole thing is in a computer. There is no killing this. The values might change, new currencies will come and go, but cryptos are going to st. As people becomemore adept at comps as the younger generation in ever continent is , their use will only go up. If the market cap is 500 billion now, it will be 10 trillion in  a few years.

Until now, creating money was the power held by a few banks, now it is in the hands of every programmer. That is the change and I don't think bankers like it too much. But both Dimon and Buffet are wrong. The share price of JP Morgan Chase will come down to zero before bitcoin price becomes zero.

Let me put it this way. I do not think any of these guys have completely understood how cryptocurrency works, or haven't got their minds to undertsanding it. I know he is a financial genius, but he is old and the world in which he lived in is gone. Einstein had difficulty accepting Quantum mechanics but the Copenhagen interpretation is the accepted one now. For example one might think that cryptocurrency with applications might find widespread acceptance, it seems to be the opposite. Some of the currently useless currency having perhaps faster transaction times may work. It is still an explosively evolving field. What happens here will be studied by economists in the future.

Then why is he trying to invest in cryptocurrency?

Time for an update. To be honest I was not expecting to recieve a large number of votes, but the number of votes have been quite significant. 56 votes of which 12 are solidly for Ripple. I had asked for a coin to rise in 3 days. The price of Ripple has stayed more or less the same.  So that is it. For the rest of the results

Ripple is an interesting product, but I had not expected it to be so dominant in the polls. Everyone knows everything about Ethereum, but Spectrecoin is a different matter . Spectrecoin is supposed to take us completely into the anonymous world. It can even be used in countries that ban TOR. Very interesting. As countries ban cryptocurrency this might be very important. But for what it is worth it is getting 4 votes.

Hmm Something like wikipedia can be blockchained perhaps. Trusted blockchains with medical records. as has been mentioned. Social media.

Something tells me Zuckerberg is not going to pay anyone; anything. If he wanted to, he would have  done it ages ago; in fiat currency. If we want cryptos to be used in social networks we will need to build the network.

There was Bitcoin once and that was it. Then Omnicoin came, and alts were born. Ethereum let programmers create coins and Waves let everyone create coins. There are approximately 1300 coins now approx, . But what have we seen of it. Other than slight changes in means of transferring money, are there  any real projects of real importance. Now I feel part of the issue is the necessity of creating a blockchain and integrating it sensibly into the organization. In other words only organizations which can find meaningfull uses for their coins can create ICOs. Do we have any cryptocurrency counterpart of shares for example, or any crypto organization like Amazon. Is it possible to create that in this ecosystem? Should we have actual security sales in Cryptos

If you look at Coinmarketcap figures, there is a steady secular drop in bitcoin market cap as opposed to alt coins. Ether which was the main  contender seems to have plateaued. There is a steady rise in other altcoin dominance.

Now total market capitalization peaked at 800 billion sometime in Jan. This has dropped to approx 500 billion since. In December Bitcoin briefly reached 60 percent in market dominance. I think it was due to the influx of new players who joined due to the hype.After a quick drop we are seeing Bitcoin drop to around 34 percent of the market. Now the question is whether this will further drop. If it will drop who will be the new contenders. In all likelihood we will have a slew of new small currencies replacing the giant Bitcoin, each with a market cap of around 3- 4 percent. But that will mean that Ether and perhaps Ripple will be less important. I am not saying the price of either will go down, but that they will be less dominant in the whole market.

Quite interesting actually. They have gone directly for creating a token. Idea seems to be pretty much the same though. Name is actually something I searched for.  I could have a talk with them. But the website seems more advanced . Wonder if they will be interested.

This is my first attempt at a website. It is much more easier than I expected. Me being not a programmer it was a bit daunting at first. The primary programme is from mediawiki. This is the base programme for wikipedia and supports multiple wiki sites including something called Scholarpedia, 3D Proteopedia and believe it or not a Pornopedia  . Once you download the basic programme you just need to tweak it a bit.  Still figuring things out though.
