I'm having some problems syncing the wallet these last few days.
Downloaded the wallet again, deleted all data from %appdata%/Smartcoin and started to sync from scratch. It's stuck on 4 days behind with 6 active connections.

Sadly it doesn't help. Stuck on 4 days behind with 5 active connections to the network.
It says it processed 920069 blocks of transaction history and it just hangs there.
It looks like there are still some nodes that haven't updated from 0.9.1 to 0.11.3, which includes Cryptopia, and these have a slightly longer blockchain length, probably due to mining blocks in a format that is no longer accepted in the latest version. I only noticed this once in the 6 months that passed since the update, where a pause in the chain resolved within a few days by itself.
I'll have to set up an SMC legacy node (0.9.1) to investigate..
Does that mean that I cannot withdraw/deposit from/to Cryptopia ? Because I really wanted to do some trading there.

Looking at the issue now. It seems that blocks that are not supported by the 0.11.3 version are still being mined, so the solution would be to go back to 0.9.1 on the smartchain.cc explorer/seed node for now, and think about how to upgrade later. Cryptopia, Yobit, and Miningfield would all need to update in order to have a smooth transition to the later version.
Thank you for looking into this. I actually managed to sync past that first block where I got stuck before and I'm using the 0.9.1 wallet, but now I'm stuck on 38 hours behind (processed 920338 blocks). At least some stuff synced which I wanted so it's not a big deal now for me.

I have some SMC on there, they are a good exchange. It may take some time though until the transactions start working again.
I didn't say they are a bad exchange, I was just wondering if this problem means that I cannot withdraw/deposit using Cryptopia. Thank you for your answer, I hope it gets worked out so that I can start using Cryptopia.

Wow it's been a long time since I've watched anything about cryptocurrencies and I'm really glad that SMC still has a strong community and a skilled dedicated developer that puts his time and effort into this to make this coin better.
I still have my SMCs that I got in the beginning and I didn't give up on them. Too bad I can't invest more time into this since my schedule is really tight but I see some dedicated people are already working on this coin and I believe it has a nice future.

Wow this blue color is actually really, but really good, at least for me. I like the white/grey logo that is official, but damn this blue just adds "something".
Maybe just space R and T a little bit further from each other so they don't touch, just like other letters don't touch, don't know why this bugs me lol.

The X11 fork has been tested and is now in place. The main branch code has been updated, and should be updated by miners and exchanges. The new wallet release can be downloaded here: https://github.com/psionin/smartcoin/releases/tag/0.9
The upcoming fork includes the following changes:
* a transition to the X11 mining algorithm starting on July 24, 2014 at 00:00 UTC
* block time spacing increase to 2 minutes
* block subsidy reduction to 16 coins per block

Wow I haven't been checking stuff in the crypto community for some time now, but I'm glad SMC is back on track. I have some SMCs and I don't want to see them go to waste, thank you people for putting effort in this coin. I would help more if I could but my time schedule is so tight it's a surprise I even have time to write this here today.

Quick update, I noticed today that my high performing card (GPU 2) has SK-Hynix based RAM, the other three lower performers use Elpida. Not sure what this means for me going forward, but it's a clue. Starting to feel like a detective over here

I think the Elpida RAM is lower quality than Hynix, at least that's what I've read somewhere on some forum. And lucky me (sarcastic) ofc I got the Eplida RAM in my GPU.
