If you do no background research about the people behind the project and the whole project itself, then - yes.

In my opinion, the most important thing is wether you did your research about the coin. If it costs nothing, it doesn't mean it will definitely rise above it's current price point. You can invest in cryptos that are already high in value but that also might mean that they are decent projects which attracts investors and could rise even more.

I doubt that banks would allow it, so my vote is no.

Does anybody know if binance annouce anywhere when they're adding new altcoin? Really frustrating to miss out on such things. P.S. checked their news channel but it still doesn't look like they do

Just because most ICOs fail, it doesn't mean that ICOs should be banned or something or that there are no decent ICOs left.. None of those ICOs would get any profit if people actually spend some time reading what they have to offer, what team is behind the project, take a better look at their smart contracts (if available) and make sure if their goals are even achievable. But people like to complain, don't they?

Most important thing is to do your homework and read carefully what ICO has to offer. Don't trust hateful comments since those can easily be written by competitors...There is definitely still a handful of great ICOs!

I think investing some portion to alt coins is a good way to earn more in shorter term than 1-5 years, especially take a closer look at WAVES, NEO and XRP.

I think the competition is too strong for it too reach $100. I'd say it might double it's current value till summer but as people mentioned before - it is a long-term investment
