and because I was too lazy to learn how to use it

I think now is the best time. It's still well ahead of any serious adoption and already usable in many ways. You can set up the node almost for free (raspberry pi parts) and learn basics as you go. I seriously think that it's the best time to get immersed in this topic.

Shameless plug, here is video that shows the process of setting up the node: https://youtu.be/77BBQWg1n8w

Re: [question] Is it possible to use Lighting Network to transfer USDT
by

on 02/04/2019, 02:26:48 UTC
No, it's not. Omnicore uses bitcoin core 0.13 and lightning benefits from enabling segwit. Also Tether is just an OP_Return, which is totally ommited while using any lightning implementation.

Not many posts here recently, but there is a lot of talk about either "Apostilling" files of the election candidates and LuxTag services, that also use blockchain notarization. I created this video to show the basics behind this technology:

Speaking about price, and speculation future is pointless. Better stick to the technology which isn't waiting on the price to catch up. I made a video about one of the newest tools for NEM: NEM-DNS.

It's good to see constant flow of the new projects into NEM blockchain. This is what we want. Kryptofootball game which was released today as a beta may be a gamechanger in the field of collectibles. Meanwhile I made a video explaining NEMonster, tool (service) for the NEM nanoWallet:

Please share, let's correct all the unfactual articles saying it's an ERC-20. I am not supporting this token in any matter but it is a good way of attracting new people to look at NEM

There is no best wallet, everything depends on the one's needs.
That's why I created YT channel with wallet reviews, first one on the list is Copay and the possibility of setting up multisignature wallet from it:

Which exchanges are you planning? When will it be possible to trade tokens?

You can trade it now on nemchange.com
It's a new exchange but already got a lot of traction and loyalcoin team backed it up as a secure exchange.

XMIN Airdrop to XEM Holders (May 07 09:00 UTC)
https://coindar.org/en/event/nem-xem-xmin-airdrop-to-xem-holders-8707

What is XMIN and which is it's use and finality? Does any exchange support this airdrop? This link doesn't provide such information.

According the the chronobank site, 60 XMIN is equal to 1 TIME.  - https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/chronobank/

1 TIME is trading at around $14.42 (as of this post).

Therefore, 1 XMIN is worth around $0.24.

So for every 20 XEM you deposit in their mint wallet, you are airdropped 1 XMIN. i.e. $7.60 of XEM to receive free $0.24.

They are asking you to put XEM into their wallet, but some questions arise:

- How secure is the mint wallet, what is the likelihood that your XEM could be taken, and it could be a scam.
- How can these XMIN tokens be traded, they're not listed on CMC or any exchanges?
- Can the XEM be removed from the mint wallet once the airdrop has been done

This sounds a bit fishy to me, I personally would be hesitant to do this until I know more information.  Free money sounds too good to be true, what's in it for them?

This sounds totally fishy to me, or better said, "phishing". No way it makes a sense that you have to transfer the funds to a specific wallet of theirs to receive the airdrop. Those who do will probably have a life-lesson from that...

I haven't do it by myself but there are steps to come around it:
1. Create account on their wallet, copy your priv key
2. in your main NEM account, create it as a cosigner for account 1 (chronowallet)
3. transfer XEM

I am not sure if this is accepted by chronobank itself but I wouldn't do it without any security measures.

Hey bitcoin talkers Smiley I made a cool video on how LuxTag will incorporate NEM blockchain with bigger amount of transactions. I think it should be especially interesting for this forum readers as it is rather technical topic on the notarization/certification on the blockchain.
