Hello all!
So I launch the miner then after about 2-3 minutes it just presents my with the following problem: (http://imgur.com/bkr1FNO) and the SS is the only thing that is rising. Does anyone have a fix for this or know how to solve it?
Xubuntu 12.04, Catalyst 12.8, cgminer 2.11.4, 3X Sapphire 7950
--I 19 --thread-concurrency 21712 , the rest is all default

Well you certainly saved my day. I totally forgot about xinit, now I can at least start cgminer from the command line. Thanks a bunch!

Hello everyone, I hope you all are well!
So I've been mining for a few days semi-successfully using Xubuntu 12.04 with Catalyst 12.08 on CGminer and now I've run into a few problems:
-The temperature doesn't seem to be appearing when I SSH to the rig but it does when I run CGminer directly on the rig itself.
-When mining it says "lost 35 shares due to stratum disconnect on pool 0".
Has anyone else had this problem and managed to resolve it? If anyone could shed some light on the situation that would be excellent

I solved this problem.
Apparently there's a conflict with xubuntu 12.10 and AMD catalyst 12.10 or greater.
I had to install xubuntu 12.04 and install catalyst 12.8.

This is extremely helpful... couldn't find a solution for this with xubuntu, so I gave up. Thanks for posting back your results Frozen.

I wondered if anyone else had the same problem as me and if so how they went about fixing it.
Basically when mining using 2x Sapphire 7950s on Xubuntu with CGminer I only get about 500 kh/s (LTC mining) between the two GPUs, if I disable one of them I still get 500 kh/s. The problem has been solved here :
I'm unsure however about how to go install catalyst 12.8 as I just follow the guide on:
And there is no mention of installing a specific catalyst let alone how to go about installing a different one.
If anyone has any advice to offer that would be excellent,

Reading up some people say that there is a loss of kw/ps if you connect a Crosslink Bridge between the 2 GPU's. Is this correct?
Do you recommend installing the Generic ATI Drivers or downloading propitiatory drivers from the ATI website?

Hello, I know this was posted a 11 days ago but just to clarify: GPUs do not need to be crosslinked, it does infact lower their hash rate.
