I look at the rate of broken families and single parent hood, aging population and low savings interest rates.
The difficulty in getting a job( Assuming baby boomers are not lying about how they walk from one job into another
at their lunch break).

That's all I need to know, that's all.

Do you think that Bitcoins death effects would precious metals.
Many liberterian who own bitcoins also own gold and silver. A death
of bitcoins could mean they could rush to buy gold and silver.

There are two kind of mega rich. Those who use the power of government for rent seeking, and those who get rich by pleasing customers and create jobs. More taxes will only please the government rent seeking corperations.

So chineese can by bitcoins from local ships, and the government is happy with that?
Chineese government generally don't like money leaving the country. They want chineese
to put money into their inflated housing market or chineese stocks and bonds?

It occored me that a good way to acquire bitcoins anonomously is to mine them( convert electricity into bitcoins)
This could be good way for people who live in fascist countries who make bitcoins buying difficult. This could be good even if
bitcoins created is less then the cost of electricity in some cases.

Re: Will this cause France to get into Bitcoin - 75% Tax on Rich
by
toomsie
on 31/12/2013, 14:05:03 UTC
People with enough money and smarts will go elsewhere.  Takes an awfully stupid politician (redundant) to not understand that!

lol.

People who move because of this are the ones with small portable fortunes.  The real rich in France are those that gain huge incomes from companies and property.  The companies can't move because they have a symbiotic relationship with the state (French diplomats often seem to work as salesmen for infrastructure and arms companies) and of course property owners can't move either.

We may disagree with taxing the rich as opposed to raising tax on the lower orders but its not stupid.

Prehaps most rich in France are state leachers.

http://money.cnn.com/2013/12/30/news/economy/french-tax-75/index.html?hpt=hp_t3

75% tax on millionaire salary

More incentive to get paid in BTC?

The true tax rate is higher then 75%.  75% is the rate that working class folk pay. The pay council tax, income tax, vat,  inflation tax, and tax that indirectly make goods and services more expensive because of verious business taxes.

Most of bitcoins weakenses can be solved by the market. whether it be  volatility, difficulty of use or lack of speed.
If it dies it will most likey be because the system has become hacked or some kind of selfish mining.
