The version 5.1.0 has released:

  • Support NiceHash.
  • Fix unstable network connections in 5.0.0.
  • Fix performance regressions for 1080Ti under Linux.

Enjoy mining!

The performance regression hasn't been fixed. Instead it has been made another 0.5% worse.

On Ubuntu with 1080Ti version 5 is 0.5% slower than version 4

Just wondering which release of Ubuntu are you using and what is your driver version? What is the spec of the mining rig? Does the card sit on risers?

I have tested the 5.0.0 release on machines that have risers and the one that does not. I did not notice the performance difference.

This is on Ubuntu 16.04 with driver version 384.69
Spec is 6 x 1080 TI cards all on risers.

The miner (v5) will often keep working but stop submitting shares.

It will just output lines like this
[INFO] [2018-01-10T08:23:44+01:00] Total 4347.56 Sol/s 2323.51 Nonce/s Accepted shares 0 Rejected shares 0
and disappear from the pool

0.5%? How do you even accurately measure that small of an amount? (or are you joking around...?)

I'm not joking around. Given enough cards it's very easy to see when you log everything
