Re: [ANN] Binary-Chain - VeriCoin and Verium - The First Dual-Blockchain Protocol

Hello,

i am a Verium miner.

Please can you help me with 2 questions?

1. I use a pool,  got some Raspberrys mining, and i have installed Verium Wallet.
I generated a Verium Wallet ID and i can see it in the Wallet. So far everything is right, I think.

But when i run Verium Wallet (in Windows), 2 seconds before Verium opens and beguin synchronization,  it shows: "Generated but not accepted".

What it means?. Is there any problem with my Wallet?  I googled it, but found nothing about this...

2. When i will want to get my VRM from the  pool, when i will request a payment, the payment will be automatically done to my Verium Wallet (Windows) if Wallet is running and online?

Hope you can help me with this. I tried to get info trough Google, but it seems i missunderstood something.

Thanks a lot.

Heya!
Welcome to the vrc/vrm thread. With regards to the wallet issue, I have no idea, may I suggest visiting the slack group at http://slack.vericoin.info - there's lots more acitivity there, and if you go to the techsupport channel, one of the folks more knowledgeable will be able to help.

With regards to question 2, your wallet does not need to be up when requesting a payment - you'll have your public address setup with the pool, and the pool will send out the VRM into the blockchain at your address. You can check your balance via the blockchain explorer if you do not want to sync your wallet with the chain.

You will however need your wallet running and synchronized in order to send vrm.

HTHs!

https://vrm.n3rd3d.com - new, pplns
https://vrm.mining-pool.ovh/ - I remember seeing a notice they will be doing PPLNS at the turn of the month but the notice is gone hmmmm

If you go to the vericoin reddit sub, there's a list of mining pools on the right.

Hi guys, I'm trying to mine verium from vrm.mining.pool.ovh, but I see the following error in the cmd console:

Verium Miner forked from cpuminer-multi 1.3-dev by tpruvot @ github **

2018-01-08 23:30:59] Starting Stratum on stratum + tcp: //eu.vrm.mining-pool.ovh: 3032

2018-01-08 23:30:59] scrypt buffer allocation failed

I would welcome any kind of thank you in advance.

Check out fireworm's miner. It's an improved version of multi miner.

Hi there!
Interesting project you got, I'd love to jump on the alpha testing if you're still accepting folks.

- two android devices, 7.0 and 7.11
- latest osx
- headless odroid and raspberry pi boxes.

Cheers!

Hi travellingwolf! You're the second person to contact us about raspberry pi mining. That is certainly possible as long as you have a modern, Javascript-enabled browser running on it. We may make a command-line client later, but won't be starting with it.

Darn, mine's pure headless, so no go there. Hopefully my other devices are good for the alpha.

Cheers!

Some people are still suggesting to solo mine with the VRM wallet vault, which is pretty easy right? Just install the wallet and click start
mining and then your good to go?

Obviously its going to eat up a huge % of my cpu so i shouldnt expect to do anything else with the computer after starting mining?

Lastly what everyones experience been with i5 series cpu's? Is it even worth it?

That's right, the vault will be the easiest way to get into mining. The UI will return an estimated number of days before you get a block.

On my i7 I have a chance of getting a block about once a month. But you could get lucky and get one sooner. If you want more constant returns, check out the various mining pools (https://www.reddit.com/r/vericoin - mining pools on right panel), you'll usually get a small bit of verium every day.

The vault allows you to choose how many cpus to mine with, so you can just set aside one core or more, depending on your workload. There is a google doc link a few posts above with various cpus to compare against.

Have fun!

Does someone know how to setup an Odroid XU4 to mine Verium in a Pool?
thx

I would suggest joining the vericoin/verium slack channel http://slack.vericoin.info/

There is an odroid image that works perfectly with the xu4.

Also, do read https://steemit.com/verium/@birty/cpu-mining-is-back-a-complete-how-to-guide-and-profit-analysis-for-verium-mining-on-a-farm-of-single-board-computers-part-2b

Finally, here's a link to fireworm's version of the miner (use this) https://github.com/fireworm71/veriumMiner/blob/main/README.md

Gah! I am so sorry, I didn't realize there was a reply to this thread. Sadly I'm not looking for a s7 at the moment.

Cheers, and thanks for your interest!

I'm testing this out on blogger.com - does the code snippet work when blogger returns a country specific TLD?

e.g. there's automatically .com, .ca. co.uk versions of the site available depending on your location.

Thanks!

@monalito - which pool are you on? I've tried beertendr and ovh pool, both show estimated payouts.

If you are solo mining using the verium vault, good luck with that. Mine shows 50 days (estimated) to hit a block.

https://beertendr.com looks interesting, it's for smaller miners? Currently on the ovh pool, any advantage for a tiny miner like myself to move to beertendr?

Hey all!
Just got into verium mining recently, any ideas which pool's the best choice for a few raspberry pis and XU4s?

I don't know which is the best, but I recently switched over to beertendr.com from vrm.poolinat0r.com (see my previous post on why) and things are working well (so far). You might want to check out the profitability calculator at https://pools.bloxstor.com/#/utilities to get an idea of what you might earn. I mined for a bit at pools.bloxstor.com but could not change the default payout setting so moved on to beertendr.com.

Cool thanks! I've never seen that profitability calculator, going to have a go at it. Cheers!

by

Hi!
I'm looking for an Antminer S7-LN, ideally with power supply. Would be lovely if I could find a seller in Vancouver, BC, but if folks are willing to ship, let's work out a deal.

Thanks!
