Re: 📌 [ANN] 📢 [ICO] 💰 COINVEST 📈 DECENTRALIZED STOCK MARKET FOR CRYPTOCURRENCIES 📊

just discovered this project and read the whitepaper but it's not clear to me whether the index fund I create actually holds the underlying asset (ie you have some exchange integration that buys the underlying asset/coin) or is this more a derivative (where the index fund simply tracks the underlying price of each asset/coin based on some price feed)?

got an answer on their telegram. it's basically a derivative you are creating. say when you create an index fund where you, for eg, have a 25% allocation into btc, eth, ltc, xrp you actually dont own any of the underlying coins when you send COIN to their SC. There is nothing in the backend that actually connects to an exchange, buys and holds those coins. They'll effectively get some price feed from somewhere that will provide pricing for you index fund that can be used to value your portfolio and importantly how much profit or loss you make when you liquidate. You get back the difference in value in COIN. Think CFDs (contracts for difference)

How are blackbytes traded and is there a current price for them?
https://byteball.org/

"
To buy or sell blackbytes, see or post orders in #trading_blackbyte  https://byteball.slack.com channel on our Slack, then exchange peer-to-peer using bound payments.

Can someone drop me an invite for the slack channel?

Re: 🔥🔥🔥[HOT][ANN][ICO] iDice - World's First Mobile Blockchain Gambling App🔥🔥🔥

Maybe I'm too skeptical, but the fact that you won't acknowledge the inquiries about your representation that the app will be available on Android and iOS platforms is very concerning to me.  You say that it will, but can you please explain WHY you are able to make that representation?  Don't they (Google Play and iOS) both ban gambling apps?

Thanks for the question!
I understand your concern. You are correct in that gambling apps are banned by Google Play and Itunes. You will be able to download our app directly through our site on your smartphone. We will not be releasing our app through Google Play/Itunes nor did we say that we would be. Our app will be able to run on IOS and Android platforms just like any other 3rd party app that you can download online. There will be a guide detailing how to install our app on your phone once it is released.

I hope this helps!

Can this be done without jailbreaking the iphone?

Having read through https://blog.bancor.network/bancor-network-token-bnt-contribution-token-creation-terms-48cc85a63812 it looks like you are adjusting down the CRR from 20% to 10%. What will you do with the unallocated 10% ETH?

No we can't use Wings to buy this token only ETH will be accepted for this. Wings will facilitate to host this ICO on their platform so everything looking into great direction.

I don't know much about WINGS platform. Does it have any advantages for investors? I just really don't want to see 35 sec sold out like in BAT again. :C

The BNT sale has a 1 hour minimum time! So no running out too fast with this one Smiley

If there is a hidden cap please supply a signed message that captures this information ahead of the the ICO and release to the community. Once the the ICO is over you can release the original message for verification. This should help build trust in the community of your intentions.

what about HD wallets that generate unique addresses each time a spend is made and you have funds scattered around many addresses?

You can either move your complete balance to one linked address or you can sign a message for all addresses, one after the other. Sounds like a lot of work with signing but actually it could be faster because you don't have to wait for slow bitcoin confirmations!

message signing is still hard or not yet possible natively with hardware wallets. so there's only the option of moving all funds to the one address.

Here's a good list of wallets which supports signing: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=990345.0

This is a tutorial about linking with a trezor: https://medium.com/byteball-help/tutorial-on-linking-trezor-wallet-to-byteball-account-via-signing-a-message-b4e390d7e1a8#.e9iy0wwzw

fyi for those interested you can sign messages with your ledger nano s wallet as well. you need to plug your xpub key into https://iancoleman.github.io/bip39/ to get the path derivation that matches the btc address you want to sign the message with. getting access to the xpub and signing the message are both accessible from the chrome app. this is how i'm linking my btc address this time around instead of sending funds like the first time i participated last round.

how do i change the btc address linked to an existing byteball address i used in the 2nd distribution? my coins have moved to a new address i would rather just sign a message when participating in the 3rd round.

You can't change a linked address, but you can add a new Bitcoin one linked to the same Byteball address. To link a specific Byteball address to a specific Bitcoin address, chat with the bot, enter your BB address, then your BTC address, the bot will wait for the signature, once you enter it, it should be okay. Chat with the bot again to see if it lists your new links and verify it on transition.byteball.org.

thanks!

just went through that trezor link you sent and am impressed. ledger desperately needs this (pinging @btchip) capability. i might just have to get a trezor now!

For those asking about what does Vox have that's different in tech. Well actually VOX is the only PoW coin in the world with an advanced checkpoint server.
I mentioned this to someone on a previous page. It's more then an LTC clone. LTC doesn't have a checkpoint server. Vox can't be double spent, and every block gets checkpointed making it impossible to hijack the chain.

BoYaKaSha

how to do you handle chain reorgs with this instant checkpointing?

Share your best hashrates with your GPUs. I want to know worth to buy some GPUs or not.

first day of mining was great i got around 100 lbc with amd 7850 at 40 mh Cheesy

7850 is old card i think fury get almost 600-700 Mh/s. I am not sure
FuryX - 132mh only (downvolt) - 240w
R290 (not x) - 85mh
HD7970 - 62mh
R380 - 34mh
R370 - 27mh

R270x Vapor 41 MH  with lyra2rev2 settings in command line

Thanks. Wink  Now R370 - 38mh (-I 17 --worksize 128 --gpu-threads 4)

r9270 msi - 46mhs
his r9 270x - 44mhs

this algo is also not power hungry. seems to consume no more than 100w per r9 270.
