Thanks for that.
My issue, is that it was stated that you could do it, ie it already existed, and this coin is now 2 years old, plenty of time to fix it....

100% valid criticism, one I have voiced often as well.  All I can really say to that is the project has new devs involved, re-invigorating the project and pushing the long time devs toward achieving more of these promises made long ago.

@minerja @xinzer0

The short answer: Not yet.

The long answer: The VRM and VRC wallets will eventually be combined, they just aren't yet.  The binary chain is also still under development, so you won't be able to gain VRC from mining VRM at this time.  When binary chain is released, that will work, just not yet.  ETA, not sure, but there is a large push to get there.

I mean, you can send VRM to a VRC address, but you won't be able to see those coins, since the wallets aren't currently designed to handle the other coin.  If you send VRC to a VRM wallet, you would have to take that VRM wallet.dat and open it in a VRC wallet to see the coins.

As for the promises made, they were definitely lofty goals still being worked on.  VRC or VRM isn't dead by any means though, with a VRM (Verium) 1.3.1 wallet just being released (which is a HUGE release) and paves a lot of the way forward to the combined wallet and the binary chain.

I mean, check out these release notes for 1.3.0 and 1.3.1:

vrm2 is down again ??
Appears so.  Been down for me for awhile now out here on the west coast :/

Both vrm and vrm2 are downed. Being DDOS?
I am sure the OP will have them back up soon.  In the meantime, you could try mining with https://vrm.poolium.win if you do not wish to wait.

I was wondering if veriswap is available now? Looking to get Vericoin for Verium. Cheers.
Veriswap is not available yet.

Re: [ANN] Iridium - Cryptonight PoW - 0.1% Premine - Fair Launch - NEW
by

I've lowered the fee since everything seems to be running smoothly now. I was gonna do this earlier but my entire block lost power (not mining related)

That said I am personally concerned about how my mining pool has absorbed basically all of the hashrate. Nearly everyone who was solo mining is no longer doing so. Before I begun this I thought only GPU miners would be interested in using the pool. I'm in a position to 51% the network, I am the network. This is a call for another pool to be opened by another operator to compete with me. If this doesn't happen I may be forced to raise the pool fee to economically force people off of it. We're still very early, so I've lowered the fee to make this a fairer start for everyone while my future competition gets to work.

I can stand another pool up fairly quickly.  Want to share me your coin.json?

I would be willing to stand up an Iridium pool, but I don't see the info I need to create a coin file to start the pool.

Maybe IRD-PoolOperator would be willing to provide me his coin.json?

I have been mining with poolinat0r.com and I had just hit the minimum payout 15 VRM when I stopped my miners. I confirmed deposit at 2017-09-05 20:26:03 and then went to the vrm.poolinat0r.com website a few hours later and noticed that the site was down.

Both sites (vrm.poolinat0r.com & vrm2.poolinat0r.com) have been down at least for 24 hours - I just checked a few moments ago: http://www.site24x7.com/public/t/results-1504678062209.html

I switched to https://poolium.win/ and threw the hashes that I was using on poolinat0r.com but the pool is not displaying the correct hash values so I stopped after about 3 hours. I emailed support but haven't heard anything back but it's only been a few hours.

I liked poolinat0r.com, I hope nothing bad has happened...

Come join us on Slack.

The hash rates are reporting accurate to my knowledge.  If you have any concerns, I'm usually around on slack and can help answer any questions.

You'll have to be more specific.  There are multiple pools.  I know https://vrm.poolium.win is up and running without issues.

I do not understand where the dude on the pool took 5 Kh  Shocked
Is this a cluster?  Huh

Quite likely that person has a cluster of workers.  Its popular to find older Opteron servers (6274's) or using many XU4's for mining Verium.

Use a new version of cpuminer-opt, or build veriumMiner with some Ryzen specific optimizations.

It's great! But there are several mistakes:
1) in raw (10) Intel Xeon E5-2690 v2 CPU count should be "2" instead "1"
2) in raw (25) There is no model Core i7 6600K it should be Core i7 6700K

If you see discrepancies, submit them in the "Add entries here" tab.  I'm sure the owner of the sheet will be happy to fix them.

Q: to Mathiau: What is your OS and Miner? Thanks

It is good to see cpu performance compilation for Verium, BTW why don't you put it as a google spreadsheet, this is much easier to refer because sooner this post will not be seen at the last page of this thread.

Any AMD Ryden performance? I'm curious to know about it  Grin

There is already a google spreadsheet here.

Currently mining Verium [VRM] for PoW and Vericoin [VRC] for PoS.

Since Verium can only be mined with a CPU, it leaves my video card open to mine something else, like ETH.

Question to verium miners: is there a difference in mining between a poolinat0r and bloxtor assuming we're going to mine same power?  Cool Cool

No difference.  Keep in mind, there are more pools to choose from, such as my own - https://vrm.poolium.win
