With an Armory wallet is there anyway to tell if a Wallet has Bitcoin cash or another fork in it, prior to going through the forking process such as forkdrop.io

I am getting closer to figuring this out again but now my Armory wallet says its offline and cannot send the transaction? And for the life of me I cannot figure how to get it to go online. Bitcoin core is completely "syncd" Armory boots up and runs for a while then loads. Offline signing seems to go as it use to??

I am fed up with Armory.

For the past 30-45 days I have been trying to move my Bitcoins out of Armory (i will admit I am not that technical). In the past I moved Bitcoins in and out of Armory and had no issues. Now...Huh ( look up my posts if you want to see-my current issues).

It seems like every few day I am posting something here trying to figure out the latest technical issue to move my Bitcoins... today I am looking for a new wallet to import my private keys and get my Bitcoins out of the Armory wallet. Yes I know it won't be as secure as Armory, but if you can't access your coins what good are they?

Suggestions on a wallet I can import my private keys into so I can at least move these? One with a trezor or ledger would be preferred.

I am no longer interested in resolving all the Armory technical issues.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Ok, I upgraded the software all to 96.5

Getting this strange error on Bitcoin core?

https://imgur.com/a/CI8K38S

Now I also get I can no longer sign transactions as these wallets are offline and do not have private keys??

Strange never had this before?

Is the core error causing this issue?

can't send Bitcoins out of Armory?

Today I was trying to move some Bitcoins out of Armory?

I have sent Bitcoins out of these Armory computers before and didn't think it was too hard, but today I am having zero luck.

First, the off online computer is running version 96.5 and offline is running 92.3, which I have sent Bitcoins out before (does this matter?).

1) First error I get was I must change to "auto" address type that changes the address from a PKG2 (?) to a different type to protect my privacy?

So I modify those under settings and change address type to "Auto Change", still doesn't help.

2) Then, on the offline computer, I get the error there are no wallets associate with these wallets file on this offline computer that you are trying to send from?

3) Now I load my transaction on the offline computer and it appears to load correctly, however when I go to sign it, I never get a button to click to "sign" the transactions?

Like I said I have sent Bitcoins before, but today this has got me beat?

Please advise.

Theta-Cannot "FETCH" issue?
by
truebits
on 08/11/2021, 00:49:23 UTC
I have some theta tokens that I staked on a Guardian node, some time ago. Now I am wanting to get them unstaked? except I am unsuccessful.

So I log into thetatoken.org access my wallet through my TREZOR, go through the steps to unstake (yes I know it takes approximately 3 days to unstake Theta tokens). So I attempt to unstake them, but each time it comes up as a "failed to fetch" transaction?

such as this...

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

How to restore Private keys in cold storage?
by
truebits
on 02/11/2021, 13:55:38 UTC
I did a quick search on this forum to see if I could find an answer to this but so far I did not?

What is the best practice to restore an Armory Cold Storage wallet?  Can I re-create it on my offline computer and then save an encrypted file on a usb? Then bring it over to the online computer and restore it on the "online computer" as a cold storage wallet?

I guess my fear is, I have restored Armory wallets in the past, but it never restores into a cold storage wallet (or I am I just missing something), it always becomes an encrypted wallet not a cold storage wallet?

Can I use a flashdrive to assist in the RAM function such as in this Youtube video?

Is there any downside to this method?

Hi I am reposting this hopefully in the right forum now?

I am trying to sync one of my computers with the Bitcoin core network since it has been out of sync probably for 6 months or so. It starts off working in Bitcoin core and the window says 89.46% complete and the blocks keep changing. But I have left it alone for over a week and it hasn't change hardly at all? Its up to 92.46% complete? And it appears the blocks are no longer changing inside the window. Its acting as if it has gone to "Sleep" (the Bitcoin software window stay open but it doesn't appear anything is happening).

I do realize it may take awhile to update.

Is there a setting on my Windows 10 computer that it "times out"?

Prior to getting this started, I have temporarily stopped all the windows updates (i manually ran Windows updates last night).

Here's the specs:

Using a VPN - no

Bitcoin Client Software and Version Number: Bitcoin Core v0.20.1
Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit
System Hardware Specs: 2.53 GHz Quad Core CPU with 3 GB RAM and 400 GB free hard drive space.
Description of Problem: Bitcoin Core seems to be stuck while synching.
Any Related Addresses: None
Any Related Transaction IDs: None

Signing keys?

I am on the BTCarmory.com site. I clicked on the link for the signing keys (Armory signing key (4922589A).) and it comes up as a bad request? What am I doing wrong? When I try and add the my GPG verification tool it comes up as no keys found? What am I doing wrong?

When I use the other signing key on this forum Armory "Offline Signing Key": 0x98832223 the link comes back
