Re: How to avoid ICO scam
by
truong.bui45
on 11/07/2018, 06:17:17 UTC
Its so hard to determine if an ICO is scam, sometimes you can only know it if the project is already done. even if the ICO is good and their platform is promising. so the only way to determine it is to check their background very well and do research a thousand times if needed.

Re: How do you monitor your crypto portfolio?

I have been using an app in which we have got the option to add the total number of different assets with which it gives a calculated value for our holding. When the price variation takes place it gets reflected on the portfolio based on which we can make the trading if required.

Everything can be a scam. Even if it not for free.. Just watch the most ICOs that we back in 2017... The most projects just scammed their people and run away with all their money.

You're free to hit up Loaf to create an M exchange asset as that's been his dream for some time, BUT be prepared for a big dose of "I told you so" if that plan ever comes to fruition.

At the moment I feel panic, then of course there will be thinking that I had to immediately sell before more damages again. However, that feeling I am mute, my way to be stoic.

I'm usually a lurker in crypto groups and have exercised restraint when it comes to giveaways and airdrops of new altcoins. I work for a cybersecurity company and read a lot of scam and hacking stories.

Ethereum is not a scam.  There are lots of ETH holders and investors.Eth is the only coin that has capability to overtake Bitcoin in Market Cap. We can't stop those people who has negative thoughts about it especially if eth is getting negative each day.

I've picked some very little known coins with small but very dedicated ecosystems behind. Meddcoin is known by very few people. They will explode in a few months.

its bargain selling when these bloodbaths are happened that is why people who are smart will buy more coins within bloodbaths so that they will get instant gains after the market has recovered from the bloody market corrections.

Yes this is not good news. I hope that this applies only to official advertising and not to posts and reposts. It will be very bad for bounty campaigns.

That was funny re. Vitalik and such comments re. WBB, but hey that is some nice free exposure by the big man of ETH (even if ETH still crappy! LOL).   Maybe he can take some time to read into DLS and see just how epic it gonna be and really comment legit and good on it.

You should look into Propthereum.io. I have been doing some research myself and I really found them interesting. They are an asset backed cryptocurrency and are expecting great coin appreciation. Their whitepaper is very impressive and definitely worth taking a look at.

Re: Hodl ether ?

suggest holding Ether too since it is a coin that has potential to be great this year. It's much more decentralised than bitcoin and used by most ICOs to make their own coins. I would consider holding until it reaches a new all time high.

Re: Monero Economy
by

It is somewhat controversial because people have various pet economic theories about how "currencies" are supposed to be. These have little to nothing to do with the technical issue of maintaining a distributed proof-of-work blockchain (which I happen to think requires a mining reward, though I acknowledge that some believe transaction fees can work), so in a sense the two sides are often talking past each other.

Re: "Hard Cap and Soft Cap"
by
truong.bui45
on 01/07/2018, 11:03:15 UTC
These are fundraising goals. Soft cap is the lower limit, the minimal amount required for the project to be considered. If the project does not reach its soft cap, the team will return the funds. On the other hand, hard cap is the maximum amount a crowdsale will receive.
