Hello all,

We have more positive news for the HIM fund.

The fund HIM has announced a dividend!

Dividend Pay Date: 2013-10-31
Dividend: 0.00150000BTC/unit

Dividends will be paid out on the payment date shown

https://www.havelockinvestments.com/order.php?symbol=HIM

That's the best dividend in 2013, thanks. At the announced hashrate, next month should be even better.

Any more miners coming in from BFL or is that over? (65nm technology, not the Monarchs)

That's all the singles we have on order.  We're looking at a few other options at this point to continue to grow.

Any news on the growth front?
What options are you looking at?

    - 60% Hardware reinvestment
    - 40% Dividends ( 1 per week )

I would be happy with this.
It would basically mean sacrificing some dividends now for a larger rise in share price in the future due to a larger purchase of GHs.
Is that right?

I agree that we are a mining outfit first and foremost and should not act too hastily in spreading our investment around. this is Bitcoin, unforseen drama will always be just around the corner.

But If we must put the investment somewhere while we wait for the next gen mining gear it's gotta be low risk and not a new  IPO. Why not BTCINVEST ? it's already diversified around a number of stocks and loans, has a good track record, managed by tradefortress (who has an interest in this fund), and will not require much management on our behalf.

Note: I have a few shares of btcinvest.

I check this thread religiously every day.
I'm sure no one would complain if you chose a time frame that's suitable for yourself.
I wouldn't as it still a great service you're providing for us investors.  Smiley

bitstamp is really racing today: broken through 125$ (no real walls, but about 500BTC in orders). 670BTC left to 126!

The ask wall at 127.72$ simply got pulled again because nobody bought and price moved away. Completely senseless, why not just buy into the walls if you are placing it that close to them?  Huh

You mean bid wall right? Bid wall is on the buying side, ask wall is on the selling side. Wink

Yeah, sorry, typo. Meant bid wall of course.  Cheesy

bitstamp running along: now up to 126.2$!

You spoke too soon, Bitstamp is on its way to catch MtGox in the next 6hrs!

Re: Are we going to see a HUGE jump in Bitcoin price?

I don't understand people and their linear charts. That's not how Bitcoin works. As the more people adopt, the speed increases exponentially as well as the number of adopters. Bitcoin is a virus, its mechanics are based on it. Nobody's chart ever accounts for viral spread.

That's why the chart above uses the logarithm of the fx rate, therefore you can plot a linear trendline but it is actually exponential!  This is capturing the "viral" super-growth rate.

I see. Well I guess we just disagree on what viral means in terms of Bitcoin, I think this will be happening much faster than that. $1000 next September is laughably low.

That chart is using 3 years of MtGox prices. So it is 100% in terms of Bitcoin. You are forgetting what a run it has had already from a few cents. Even that trendline has to flatten off soon or one bitcoin will buy this entire planet in just 12 years from now.  Got to be realistic about limits to growth!

There are about 100 billion planets in the MilkyWay so I don't see the problem Smiley))

...and don't forget the billions of galaxies in the universe
