Hope I'm not too late!

Just so everyone is clear, the point is not to pay for the house completely with BTC, rather to reduce the duration of the mortgage and to save on interest. Both my wife and I work, and our combined incomes allow for the regular, monthly mortgage payments. My goal is to reduce the duration of the mortgage from 30 years to 15 years, and to save over $100,000 in interest. If I am able to reach, and sustain, my goal of 5 BTC each month, that extra payment will allow me to reach the mortgage goals.

Thank you to everyone who showed interest. I hope this catches on and proves that BTC CAN be used for something in the real world.

I'm simply going to use btc to supplement the mortgage payment. I'll be making the regular payments with my full-time job, but seriously reducing the length of the mortgage with extra payments from bitcoin income. Even with an extra $100 each month the mortgage will be reduced by four years.

I had an extra bitcoin each week coming in from LTCG. I can't count for that now

My wife and I have started the process of buying our first home. Of course, we're excited, but I'm also excited about paying off the mortgage early. I'm hoping to use my BTC income to make an extra payment each month.
