WHAT IS ZED?

The economics are not overly complicated in ZED, players set up a stable and buy digital racehorses (NFT's ERC-721 Tokens), with the aim to build a legacy with a stable full of winners.

To build an empire, players strategically breed and trade horses (assets) in an effort to cultivate winning racehorses. If a stable owner is smart they can profit along the way as well as build a prestigious reputation. 

In essence, it is a market-driven economy. Think of it as a stock exchange for horses, the more valuable your horse is, the more another trader will be willing to pay for it.

I feel we as traders could be considered as speculative consumers, and if that is partly the truth wouldn't it be cool if the digital asset that we are speculating on was something we had whole ownership of?

I feel like we as those crypto traders we could be considered as speculative consumers.

I thought it might be nice to sit on the other side of the coin so I built a trading inspired game on the blockchain.

It is very similar to how a bear market will rise and a bull market will fall however retained on an individual token asset in the form as a digital racehorse.

The game allows players to have true ownership of digital racehorse thanks to erc721.org and the development of the Non-Fungible Token (NFT) which is just a fancy way of saying a truly unique token or asset.

Each ERC721 NFT token (racehorse) can independently raise and fall depending on how it performs when racing.

We recently launched and a crypto game (www.zed.run) where players have true ownership of digital racehorses. Our game will be really simple, buy a horse, race it and breed offspring in between.

Thanks to the blockchain and the rise of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) users can now truly have ownership of a digital asset in the form of an immutable token. Non-fungible is just a fancy way fo saying unique, so think of it as a unique token.

So what's so cool about an NFT? Well for one, if the publisher of a game, ceases to operate, the NFT continues to exist on the blockchain. In fact, its designed in a way ready for other platforms to consume. In essence, an NFT is an ever-green digital asset that has the potential to live inside many games and never die.

Due to the stability NFTs have to offer, they could be considered a good investment. We will leave to you guys to debate.

Some of these games have an element known as a collectible asset. (Not all of them)

If you buy an asset within the game you can later resell it when it has more value. Therefore, this can be considered an investment.

Here is an example. Say you buy a ZED racehorse... for 0.4Eth and say it wins a few races later. You can then sell it for say 4Eth on the marketplace. That's a solid return on investment!
