Knowledge 100% of the time.

Fact of the matter is that credit is very easy to access these days and it's not too difficult if you start something without any capital. The fixed costs to business have been totally eliminated with the popularity of online business these days.

You need the right expertise and skills more than ever. Capital is the easy part to secure once you've gotten around to formulating a legitimately good idea.

Re: How far can bitcoin price correction go?
by
tz
on 12/09/2021, 20:24:30 UTC
We can all notice the ongoing price correction of Bitcoin and the fact that price does not continue in a straight line. What do you think Bitcoin's Price could be corrected to? I mean, what do you think would be the minimum price Bitcoin gets to, before going back to $52k price again?

I think that we've already found a floor at the $45k level.

The market sentiment is still quite bullish if you ask me and I don't think that there is necessarily a prospect for bitcoin to go down below $40k in the short run. Coins on exchanges are at an all time low meaning that there are plenty of long term holders.

This is definitely different to 2017 in my opinion - 2017 is grossly overleveraged and growth happened way too fast.

Re: Bitcoin going to $53k or down to $48k? (Bullish Scenario)
by

I still think that breaching $50k is an eventuality.

People are getting way too caught up in this current dump without realizing that it is entirely transitory. We have seen this sort of correction over and over again and some still don't realize that this is just a great buying opportunity.

Start DCAing at this level and you will make lots in the long term. No doubts about it.

Sometimes you do so many research for your investment, but you make a loss at finally. In the meanwhile, your friends just follow famous people or obey some rumors, and they make huge profits.
Have you ever had such an experience?
If you have, how about your friend ?they make a fortune or not?

Plenty of friends who just blindly follow Youtubers and buy random NFTs/alts that have no value.

They might be making profits in the short run in a bull market but their portfolios are going to take a beating when the actual bear market starts. It's simply not a sustainable way of making decisions over the long run.

Don't get fooled, guys. Short term success has virtually no bearing on long term outcomes.

Not a huge fan of Solana.

I think that their platform is definitely overblown and not ready for mainstream adoption. People are just jumping on the bandwagon because they think that price is going to be higher in the future, not necessarily for the platform.

Buy the rumour, sell the news. This is already news.

Oh boy.

I remember when I believed in this stuff and thought that roulette was infinite money. I think that everyone goes through this phase one way or another.

I think that others have already said enough about this being a scam/fraud, and that is completely right. Let me just say, OP please don't see gambling as a way to make money. It's pure entertainment.

Re: Gambling license

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I'm looking to rent a legit online gambling license. What's the best way to do so?

You have to look to the regulators for this advice based on the jurisdiction you are trying to apply from.

Curacao and Panama seem to be two very popular destinations for online casinos to gain licenses from. From what I've heard the process is not particularly difficult and you should be able to gain one quite easily.

Getting a license doesn't necessarily mean that you have the power to serve every country in the world though. Take that in mind.

Jesus christ, that is a lot of exchanges for sure.

I would have expected maybe 2 to 3 exchanges to go bust, max. But apparently that figure is much larger.

I guess this just goes to show how important it is to retain access to your private keys. No custodial method is going to be failsafe nor will they be able to stand the test of time - not even the ones which look invicible right now. Just think about what happened to Mt. Gox.

Re: Prayer and gambling.

If you think that praying will give you better odds, you're delusional.

Most religions don't condone gambling so why the hell would they respond to prayers in gambling? That absolutely makes no sense.

But empirically there is no correlation - everything is mathematically determined and has nothing to do with your psychology, and the odds are stacked against you due to that.

Re: [LIST] Gambling sites with internal exchange

Damn, I've been playing on a lot of these sites using the internal exchange functions and didn't know that the rates are actually so bad.

Thanks for the heads up, OP.

I've probably lost around $100 just to fees alone. And this is easily avoided if I had just used any other instant exchangers that give much better rates.

Re: Seriously! three times...the individual vs. combined probability.

Yes, this stuff happens more commonly than you would expect.

Casinos handle millions of bets and this pattern occurs around one in 50000 times, which means that for every million bets you're expecting 3 greens to come together around 20 times.

Gambler's fallacy is a hell of a drug sometimes...

This is much more reasonable than other countries.

I think that this is fair to all parties involved. You don't need to report if the size of the transactions are minuscule and therefore not even worth the time of the tax authorities to look over, and if you do report the system is simple enough that you don't need to spend hours looking through records and working with your accountant.

One of the rare examples of tax policy done right.

Re: This project might be a small cap gem
by
tz
on 05/09/2021, 05:39:26 UTC
Problem is that there has been plenty of these projects in the past that have claimed to be the next big disruptor in a field, and just never delivered.

This looks great on paper, but unless there is some value catalyst that makes the market value reach its intrinsic value, this is never going to take off. It's just going to be another small cap coin that is forgotten after a few years.

Good luck with the play, but it's too risky for me as it has virtually no liquidity and a ridiculously small market cap.

I wonder how the Spanish teams are going to respond.

Probably not very positively, mind you, given that this is their livelihoods.

Not sure what precipitated this change to be honest. This stuff has been going on in the rest of the world and in Spain for ages and without warning they decide to ban it... Might be a bit of a kneejerk reaction in my opinion.

Hi am new to gambling and am a fan of football but a novice in gambling games so I focus more on football betting.
I will like to ask which site gives the best odds on football matches?

Can't go wrong with Stake or Sportsbet.

Probably two of the biggest players in the market right now and both of them have a historical track record of delivering quality service.

I think that even though you might not get the absolute best odds, you're going to get something very close to that with a peace of mind that your funds are safe - which is arguably more important than just blindly chasing odds.

Re: 1xbit.com honest review campaign (open)
by
tz
on 16/08/2021, 09:13:24 UTC
I'm not sure if this review campaign is legit or not... But I'll give it a go.

1xBit has been operating quite a long time now. It used to be quite reputable and had a signature campaign and all that on the forum managed by yahoo (I still remember the old days). However, it's reputation definitely took a big hit after a few cases of players not being rightfully compensated.

I would probably stay away for now until management decides to clear all the problems that have been associated with the site. Decisions seem to be made quite arbitrarily which is definitely not a good look for the firm.

I did play on the site a bit before they did the design revamp and before all the problems. I don't think I had any problems with them, although this could no longer be the case.

Re: Bitcoin will NOT surpass traditional methods of payment. Convince me.

It will be hard to get 100 of the top banks to all put in 20 million in order to set up a new mining station/purchase already running ones. Some of them may have interests in crypto-currency (when crypto gets huge, there is going still to be a need for centralized services, and some banks are definitely looking towards creating a business on that, we've seen some exchanges from banks.

Sure, you've listed 10 or so banks that lose a shit ton of money. Can you do that with the other 90 or so banks? Do you think that every single bank will be able to reach a single conclusion, they all are extremely powerful and it's similar to how world-wide trading discussions fail. A crowd of people with huge amounts of power, means it's very, very hard to reach a single decision (even though it might be good for them all).

Just take a look at the DOHA round as a decent example.

Interesting thread, however.

Re: Okay. Billionaire investor says Millennials should invest in bitcoin. So?
by

I think it's ignorant to group a large number of people by a specific trait (age, race, sex, etc) and then make a decision based on it. I understand the logic behind it, but I usually prevent myself from personally taking general advice like that.

The general view is that people in their 20's have a lot of disposable income, so, therefore, it's worth putting a couple of grand into something that might blow up and would allow them to retire when they are 30. The same applies for anyone with disposable income, no matter what the age.

Better advice would be "Invest money in bitcoin if you can afford to lose the money and are making a decent sum with little to no financial hardships".

Re: Elon Musk finally weighs in on Bitcoin in a longer than usual commentary

I wouldn't classify myself as a Elon Musk fanboy. I personally own a tesla car, and a tesla powerbank (actually pretty useful), but I don't follow Elon Musk and his interviews/videos/articles that often.

I've seen his previous thoughts on Bitcoin, and while we share some of the similar ideas (which is kinda cool), there are some disagreements that I have with him. I don't understand why he believes it's energy-intensive. When comparing the miner electricity fees compared to a lot of other businesses, it's minuscule. Banks spend a lot more electricity maintaining their systems, and bitcoin mining has seen a slow transition to more renewable energy sources.

Re: India Central Bank Says It Hasn’t Banned Crypto
by
tz
on 25/01/2020, 02:58:29 UTC
It's not far off an actual ban, they are basically making sure no-one that is legitimate and is in the financial industry is able to offer crypto-based services to other companies or consumers. They've killed the "supply" of bitcoin essentially, making it impossible for consumers to get their hands on it (without turning to dodgier methods), and making it impossible to operate a business on the blockchain.

They don't have the power to completely ban bitcoin, it's a decentralized currency and they can't control it. But they can control how people get involved in it, and it's actually pretty shitty how they've resorted to this method.

There is an old saying, where that if you ban something, you are only going to create a bigger underworld market. Better to control it, tax it, profit off it. Looks like India is taking the ban route, I wonder what the future leads for the financial sector.
