That is what I was suspecting too, but even mining UTC right now is basically non-profitable after electric bill.
So the only explanation is miners with free or dirt cheap electricity are mining.
The whole alt-coin community is suffering from the huge spike of hash power from SCRYPT ASIC right now indeed, not just UTC.
Golden days for video card miner like me is long gone, I've stopped all my mining rigs.

Well, one of the reasons I think this coin is going down in value is because we are number 2 on Whattomine.com, so essentially, other multipools and regular users and mining Ultracoin and dumping it for profit with no incentive to hold.

Guys we need to think about what can lift this dead meat coin again. Last time when block reward was reduced from 50->15 it seems to give a good lift for a short period of time. Do you think this can be done again? 15->5?

这个楼主确实不是啥好货，经常偷偷摸摸删帖子。我有点怀疑很多价格操纵都是他自己在背后搞鬼。比如前些日子忽然把block reward降到15人为导致一次价钱暴涨没准就是他自己吸足了货之后操纵，这货很阴险。现在觉得这种一个人控制的网络币还不如政府发行，更加的没有控制。

true & true, and sadly, I wished that I can hold this coin for an uptick move, but almost never happened. I tried, and failed, so that is it.

If this thread really represents the "community", it's almost a blessing they are not representing the coin on their own. It's like a bunch of teenagers in here.
This coin (and it's community) need a makeover in professionalism. Who would take anything seriously that comes out of this thread which is the main hub of information regarding UTC.
The price truly does represent this coin and until things change 0.0006 will remain the ceiling.

This is an idiotic idea, look at what the 50->15 block reward reduce did to the coin, a quick bubble, some lucky ones can cash out and run off the table, then the coin can dive even lower?
This is manipulation, and do NO good to the community, it will only make people feel this coin is centralized manipulated and get more and more abandoned.

What is wrong with nitro pool? ultra2 is dead, ultra runs in a weird way, I get only like 1/3 hashrate and not producing any coin with exact same good config.

Looks like I cannot mine without more RAM too, this change is quite dramatic.
Ye many miners may have to increase system RAM, hoping I can squeeze by with 8GB and 3 GPU; gonna be close if so.
Though I'm close, I'm using 4 different TC's for each card, my setup will be of no use to anyone for 290x, or perhaps one of the 4 might help 1 of 4 people... who knows.
