on a price of 1 satoshi per flappycoin, that would be 750 bitcoin at the moment.
if there is more interest, it could be like 10 satoshi per flappy so : 7500 bitcoin - that is not really much as market capitalization.

so , a swap like 1:1000 could bring flappy up to a ammount that is still mineable for many years (currently 75 bil >> 75 million ), and should have a great value. ( like 1000 -10000 satoshi per (new-allready swapped"Flaps") as a starting grid )

(block could have like 20 to 100 coins then ? )

all that is only ideas i have , i really don´t know what the current plan is.

edit: i think most of the 75 billion coins are dead and lost somewhere in space.
i think there´s roughly 10 billion coins if ever available.
burning old flappy for new flaps untill  a end date could show us how much actually is available.

edit:
new flaps could be of scrypt , scrypt-n or x13 maybe but needs a completly new source then.
if scrypt, it should use latest doge or ltc code as source.

burning process would need a premine to get flaps for flappy i think- at least i don´t know any other way.
Flapmin can clear that up - or at least what is planned precisly

are you my fellow spots miner?

Nope, i am playing around with p2pool, got only spots2 - but that´s the wrong chain. But it was fairly easy to setup.
all i would need is a working windows binary.

whomever has 400mh on flappy i hope you own that rig and aren't paying
you could have just put 5mh on it and got a good share and in all fairness if you have
not noticed the payouts are in a remitting phase for the next 7-10ish days

would have been more sense to put the 400 mh on spots
but hey, that are things that happen on crypto´s , it would have been nice if that was 100 miners, but well - it isn´t.

edit: btw is there a windows binary for spots available ? i only found the spots2 binary, but that is a complete other chain.

Yeah one very smart miner dumping sensless 350+ mh/s into a 20 mh/s network. Nuff said.

It is not me. My A2 fell over a couple times when I was playing with MRR a month back. All I have on the network is a zeus blizzard and 4 monnlanders

that was cleared up allready, didn´t asume it was you - only i am asking myself why people drop 350+ on a 20 mh network ? they would have been mining nearly all blocks with 30 mh... - but i have seen that on other coins allready, its simple greed often, sometimes its a failover and no greed Tongue

@flapmin, no sorry i dont have the time to go into developing something seriously.
I Think it would be wise to get someone from a existing project.

Yes i have the private key and i kept the old wallet from, I don't know three years or four, I am glad it is back. Is there a working explorer to check my address?  Thank you for your time.

unfortunately you cannot check the address, as we have a only a blockcrawler, best and fastest way would be to download the new flappycoin  binary (or compile it yourself)  , do a backup of the existing wallet, and use your own wallet.dat file before syncing ( starting) flappycoin again.

your wallet - it will show up empty locally first, but as the blocks will be downloaded your coins will show up.
(your tx´s should show up as not confirmed with a complete new install, and will validate when the blockchain has reached the height needed)

first and important step is to backup the wallet.dat file. It is the first thing you do (copy to a usb stick or somewhere else safe).

if you havent started flappycoin for a long time (last year, january or similar)
- you might try to only start the new flappy binary, add nodes and it might will be just ok and will not take forever to sync.

!!anyway make sure you copy the old wallet.dat file before anything you do!!

edit:
you might altready find your old incoming tx `s also on blockcrawler (paste tx id to the coresponding searchfield there).

the links are pointing to the correct websites. it seems the block explorer and pool 1 are down.
blockexplorer is up ( both url´s http://blockcrawler.rf.gd and http://blockcrawler.infinityfree.io )(backup is down due to provider problems -.-)

for P2pool: P2pool is available as download on blockexplorer page (http://blockcrawler.rf.gd/download/ ) i closed my node for outside,
as some of the mrr rigs wehre causing heavy lags on all of my 3 nodes.
I recommend to install p2pool as backup solution and run your miner locally against it. - if you need help in setting it up stop by at irc.
(0 ping, is connected to the other nodes).

@Flapmin everytime your pool goes down we have warnings of obsolete version of the wallets afterwards ( when your pool goes up again).
might be your coind is behind then and sends warnings?

edit: wallet warning is gone, but i realy want to know what causes that.

the difficulty of your miner should be set relative to the difficulty of the coin .  Whay cant you lock the p2p diff down to 512 for the time being ? just curious

sorry, need to clarify:

P2pool set its difficulty for miners normally itself.
(it has vardiff)
however as a miner you can set a static diff for your miner if you feel it has a better impact.

stratum works on p2pool with bfgminer (tested) - i think also sgminer will work flawless.
it is the stratum protocoll from some miners that do not work right with p2pool, in that cases ( you will see it in your miner)
just use http port, you can not compare p2pool with a standard pool, also in our ( very fast - compared to standard p2pools) version
at least 6 hours of your shares are counted in, so yes you can use longpoll also on p2pool (http port).

Technical:
The share diff we use on p2pool is used to build a "Mini"chain that has absolute nothing to do with the coins chain.
it is used to calculate your miners part of the pizza. p2pool also has a kind of fake shares, that will show up in your miner just like normal shares.
Those are generally very low diff, and are used to see a. that a miner is alive, b. to calculate hashing speed.
when a miner sends a share that is heigh enough to get a block, the pool generates the coins directly in the miners wallets ,
calculated as part of the complete block. (from the "mini-P2pool"chain) -
for who brought Flappycoin to p2pool : flappycoin was added by hanzou on p2pool standard. << so the reward should go to him.

i personally did some changes to the sharechain of p2pool´s minichain and the reward length -
as it was set to 24 hours, which is way too much. i Also switched p2pool for p2pool network, and testing merged mining by ow.

reward length = 3 hours now   - the current version which connects to the network can be downloaded at blockcrawlers page.
a bit of technical know how is needed to run your own p2pool node.

Edit: N00bminer if that was you just mining, the rejected shares are likely due to you using stratum, if you'd like you can try again with http

It may have been, MRR appends stratum+tcp to the pool, so I do not think there is a way around it for those little devices.  I will check.

i remember there was a a workaround for rented miners, i think it was kinda like a proxy stratum which offers stratum+tcp to the miner
and connects to the pool with http - cant remember which one that was ... at least you where able to set a static diff rather then the one from the p2pool

merged mining is running on doge and peseta, but i havent found any blocks on each of them.
diff is much too high on that coins, if i ever will find a block on merged mining, i ll post it
maybe in the year 2150 XD - its free mining on the merged coin but the chance on any merged coin is practically 0%
anyway as it has no additionally cost on electricity or hashpower i ll run it.

have to say, p2pool will run best with http protocoll, however , - bfgminer seems to run stable on stratum+tcp .
ccminer for example does not with stratum, seems to be a problem between stratum protocoll p2pool and stratum protocoll ccminer. (use http for ccminer)

to make sure you are running smooth, connect to

http://htmlhigh5.com:65050/ -u youraddress -p anything

you can set switches to your address for fixed lower/or higher diff

sample for 500kh/s :
http://htmlhigh5.com:65050/ -u youraddress/0.005+0.0003 -p anything

0.005 would be the actual share height you need to get a share accounted,
0.0003 is the pseudo share height to check the hashing speed)

math samples:
multiply the sharediff with 65535 to see it like other pools show it ...
from example above:
Accounted shares: ~ diff 393 (0.005)
Pseudo shares: ~ diff 20        (0.0003)

so for a diff of 256 it would be 0.0039 etc ....

everyone had, but not related to the source code. you get now more on mining, you missed not a single coin.
