Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order

Just ordered one. Wondering what power supplies people are using in the states?

Thanks guys!

I suspect that the bitmaintech psu is just a tiny bit short to run an s-9

it does need 210 or more volts so if in USA you need correct voltage wires.

now if you are looking for an ATX 120 volt option EVGA has them  but they are costly

titanium 1600 watt cost - 386 usd

platinum 342

gold 302
https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-SuperNOVA-Crossfire-Warranty-120-G2-1600-X1/dp/B00MMLUIE8/ref=sr_1_2?

Thanks! Along the lines of what I was looking for!

Re: Morgan Spurlock Inside Man: Morgan Makes ‘Cents’ Out of Bitcoin

 Huh Huh
Not sure what your post meant :/

Though from the advertising that CNN is running for the new season of the show, it appears that Morgan Spurlock is pretty optimistic about Bitcoin.
Some dudes are so ahead of the curve, for look who was the first person to mention Morgan Spurlock on this forum (along with what he's up to now: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=918449.0):

Phinnaeus Gage, your brother-in-law's leather work is stunning. I dabble in leather, but it's mostly making armor and such, nothing super decorative like that. I'll make sure to get in touch if I ever need something of that caliber.

As for the "Bitcoin Man" costume, it wouldn't be too hard (the jacket, pants, and cape at least). The difficulty would come from getting the logo all over...I could silk screen it, I suppose, or use Spoonflower.com (probably easier, cheaper, and better looking). The cape I'd do a single, big applique.

I don't know what you mean by the shoes -- generally Chucks come in fun colors, and aren't terribly uncomfortable.

I would have to do some research on the mask, and send you some sketches to make sure I've got the right idea.

Bolo would be pretty easy, I think.

My rough guesstimate for something like that would be $200/set. I can do more specific calculations if you're really interested. You'd be behind ZodiacDragon84 though, so it'd be a little while before I could get started.

Mark your calendar, VDB: Tennessee Renaissance Festival

The price does seem fair. I'll PM you the mask specs and why it's important. Shoes are not a problem. Mostly wanting the suit, cape and bola to work in concert with each other. This is what I'm leaning toward to now. Bitcoin logo cape, sliding physical Bitcoin on the bola, and the custom fit tailor-made suit with embroidered logos of companies that now accept Bitcoin: Memory Dealers; archive.org; Grass Hill Alpacas; ect. (just realized that I'll need to wear those socks) An example of the suit is pictured below. I'm thinking more casual than formal. As far as the bola, I'm considered hand tooled leather that Martin could do. Of course I'll have a Bitcoin themed leather wallet.

I would rather not include many Bitcoin only related companies, but would consider it provided ad space was paid for. It wouldn't be much, but would at least cover the cost of the embroidery.

Morgan Spurlock Inside Man: Morgan Makes ‘Cents’ Out of Bitcoin

The new season of Morgan Spurlock Inside Man has been announced within the last few days. This season he is doing an episode regarding bitcoin.
Generally I feel that he has always done well in documenting the facts of the subjects that he covers. Hope that the Bitcoin episode goes well.

Morgan Makes ‘Cents’ Out of Bitcoin  (Feb 19) – Morgan lives off of nothing but the e-currency Bitcoin for a week to figure out whether the world is ready for a new kind of money. With all of the misinformation and misunderstanding surrounding bitcoin, Spurlock is determined to understand the pros and cons of the peer-to-peer digital currency and what its effect might be on the global economy.

Definitely one of the simplest explanations I have seen. Definitely something to show friends when they asking about cryptography but aren't as well versed in technology.

I don't think that too many (relative) do believe in the altcoins. Most people who jump on board with them, are usually ones who came too late to the bitcoin party.

In coins themselves, probably only $150. Mining rigs, probably about $1000, considering I used a considerable amount of old hardware.

Wow, finally a company with a bit of infrastructure to get involved! Thought its unfortunate I do not think Bitcoin is ready yet for this, as the fluctuation of the market is too wide. I would agree that as time moves along there will be awesome opportunity for this!

Just giving the *thumbs up* to TradeHill in which I use.

For depositing I just file a wire transfer,

For withdrawals I withdraw via them sending me a check Smiley

Fairly simple.

$0.30/kWh, In California Sad almost impossible Sad I am currently working on a solar station to make it mine about 5 hours per day, when the deep cycles batteries have enough charge. Mining on standard electricity from Southern California Edison, does not work for BTC Sad

Sorry to bump and extremely OLD thread, but I am having troubles getting ClockTweak, I signed up on the hosting site and gave the them the 0.2BTC TWICE, and got no access to the file. Anything that can be done? being a n00b to the forum, I cannot send you a PM either Sad
