Re: Do not sell your crypto!
by
uletkluget
on 29/03/2018, 11:02:34 UTC
As I have seen this already too many times since past few years, I believe it would be beneficial to share my experience with crypto markets. Do not sell your coins/tokens when the market is dropping, it's just a pure speculation and perhaps market manipulation from whales who only target to earn on whatever the price moves they can achieve. If you're reasonable, sell when market is high and buyer/hold when market is bleeding. I hope this helps you to decide  Wink

When I entered the crypto markets very first time in November last year, markets were super red hot and I knew the crash was coming soon. I invested a total of around $12000 and when markets started crashing continuously, it was time for me to take the profits and get out. Even in that dropping market, I made a net profit of ~$65000 after dumping every single bit of various coins I had. If I had hunkered down like most of you dimwits have done, I would be holding a bowl of dust and nothing. All of those coins I dumped are far below the price points where I had bought them initially. So this completely tears apart the hodling theory those most of retards keep shouting and keep propagating.

Now about the market rebounds -I can see most of you are just desperate for it and keep predicting a rebound is around the corner, makes me laugh. Again your ignorance of Economics 101 and naivety is palpable. These coins have no associated products and mass level commercial adaptations, hence there's no way for the crypto markets to stage a rebound to the level we saw in December which was nothing but pure speculative money pouring into crypto markets. Now most of that money is burned out, people are sitting in deep red with no fresh money available for speculative investment. By end of 2018 most coins will be dead, only the top tier will survive with modest market caps.

Re: Bounty or Airdrop?
by
uletkluget
on 27/03/2018, 17:09:04 UTC
Bounty or Airdrop? what is the most easiest way to earn tokens?

Airdrop in the real sense of it should be easiest because of the fact that all you need do is just either indicate interest, fill or register through a form. However, many times airdrop coins don't get anywhere though some fly.
more reliable way to earn. If you are just starting to get acquainted with the world of crypto currency, then you can look at it. More advanced market participants can expect to earn a little more with the help of the Bounty
For me then, I don't prefer airdrops because they often times turn scam after your hopes have been put high. Campaign bounties are the best for me. You have a choice to choose which ico, also you know the pedigree of the campaign manager before going in. Bounty campaign is better for me.

Re: Why should people use Bitcoin?
by
uletkluget
on 27/03/2018, 09:40:30 UTC
Bitcoin is the future of money, or so they say.

I would like to hear your opinions on Why should people use Bitcoin?

Technically, bitcoin would need to scale ultimately to keep up with the pace of the ever-growing need for faster transactions and security for bitcoin users. This is not really hard if we could come up with a consensus as a community. The thing is, some devs responsible for the said growth or development of the code often mix things with personal gains, which ideally isn't good for bitcoin's thriving in the long run.
We know that people now daw have a high exchange rate for a 1 bitcoin..,
Bitcoin has generated plenty of interest and controversy as a "third" type of currency and an alternative to government flat currencies like the U.S. dollar or the euro or pure commodity currencies like gold or silver coins.
Bitcoin purchases are discrete. Unless a user voluntarily publishes his Bitcoin transactions, his purchases are never associated with his personal identity, much like cash-only purchases, and cannot be traced back to him. In fact, the anonymous Bitcoin address that is generated for user purchases changes with each transaction.
Purchases Are Not TaxedSince there is no way for third parties to identify, track or intercept transactions that are denominated in Bitcoins, one of the major advantages of Bitcoin is that sales taxes are not added onto any purchases, according to Investopedia so better use bitcoin.

Re: Can ETH reach BTC value ?
by
uletkluget
on 27/03/2018, 09:12:49 UTC
Just wondering if ETH can

It is possible that this reaching will happen but not yet. ETH can be called the altcoin which is the closest to the word stable in the market. Bitcoin exists a much longer in the crypto world and the ideas and technology of the blockchain are unique and they are constantly improving. Bitcoin has gained the trust of the investors long time before Ethereum even entered the market. I believe that when ETH will reach the market BTC price will rise much more and there will be new goals that ETH will try to reach. Its like any market… an incumbent (BTC) is sustainably improving its performance (aka value) over time, keeping its market (investors) happy whilst competitors (ETM) focus on disruptive innovation offering the customers (investors) of the incumbent (BTC) far more value (smart contracts) to surpass the market cap (share price) of the older incumbent (BTC).

Re: Are you afraid of hackers?
by
uletkluget
on 27/03/2018, 09:06:28 UTC
Recently Bloomberg posted the information that it took hackers less than 10 years to steal over 14% of all existing Bitcoins and Ethereum from the wallets of their holders. The total sum they have stolen is more than $1,2 billion! How to protect yourself from hackers attacks? Are you afraid of this stuff?

Of course yes but in the end, it is in your fault why you let your wallet be hacked. If you are a wise trader and coin holder, you dont save your password or your private key on any exchanging sites or any website at all. You have to hold on to it very securely. Hackers will not have your passwords or private keys if you dont give it to them. Just be careful on whatever site you enter with your wallet address and password. You should also check if the site you are trying to enter redirects you to other sites since this is the common technique of a hacker to have you enter your password on that site.

Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation
by
uletkluget
on 27/03/2018, 09:03:44 UTC
Self-moderated thread for discussion of Monero trading and price speculation.

Off topic posts will be removed. Off topic includes any extensive discussion of other coins, promoting other coins, or posting of promotional materials from other coins.

Non-substantive comments such as Monero sucks, Monero is a scam, Monero is great, Monero to the moon, etc. are considered off topic. Every post and reply should add to the discussion. The preceding sentence forbids repetitive exchanges on the same topic without some topical context.

Hostile trolling (which includes but is not limited to use of "meme" pictures to attack or demean) especially by sock puppet accounts is not allowed.

When quoting posts, please remove any large charts or other images unless the quoted post is at least one page old. Please shrink (or remove) large images in replies in all cases.

When I am speaking as the moderator, and only then, I will write in red. Other messages using red text are not permitted.

People speculating on Monero may also be interested in the MoneroMarkets subreddit (unaffiliated)

Thanks for opening a new speculation thread. I'm not a huge fan of self moderated threads, as they tend to invite abuse of power of the thread starter in my experience. That said, not wanting to give in to FUD posts/trolling is a valid reason for self moderation, so I'm not outright going to bash the attempt.
When the price is going up people tend to pull their ask in anticipation of a better price to sell at. When the price is dropping people tend to pull their bids in anticipation of a lower price to buy at. At the same time in a falling market a lot of people wants to sell and places sell walls hoping to get out at a better price, and vice-versa.
Also, if someone is in the process of accumulation, he often masks his intention with having the bought coins in asks, trying to cap the price. Similarly a seller would use bid walls to try to keep price higher while he is unloading. I have tried these techniques in a liquid market (Bitstamp BTC/USD) and in a short term (a few hours) and medium trade size (100-200 BTC), they lead to an average 0.45% better execution than not employing them. That is only possible for medium+ traders who have the required funds to put up walls, and only for medium- trade sizes, because large trades affect the market nevertheless and the strategy becomes evident to an observer, if there is simultaneous buy pressure and sell walls. It may be +EV still, though, as I see it being used in Bitstamp often now.
