Polo is not usable any more with bitches like Goldman Sachs owning it  Roll Eyes Shocked

Could not agree more.
and also the fact it seems impossible to get verified there. Submitted all valid documents - verified at Binance and Kraken in a matter of days. Been over a month with polo and nothing at all. They can go and fist themselves.

For safekeeping you're probably better off just using paper wallets. Or if paper is too unreliable medium to store information for you, you can use cryptosteel.com

oh they are a thing of beauty, although knowing my clumsy hands i would end up dropping it overboard like i did with my paperwallet

I can confirm this, not only that there are no more silly errors on Kraken while doing trades and transactions but also the liquidity and volume are much better now, moved all I had on Bitfinex to Kraken, bye bye finex Smiley

And Kraken seems to be efficient at processing verification, once my documents were submitted my account was upgraded within a week.

Also received my refund for bank withdrawal yesterday, was just so confusing with the Bitpay invoice though showing the exchange rate from the original transfer.

and then this morning i received the payment from Wavecrest for the funds locked in my Bitwala Visa Card account.

So thanks Bitwala for sorting everything out.

It does seem to be getting increasingly difficult to go from BTC to FIAT now.

There are all these loadable visa card for BTC why don't we have one yet?

Someone Tell them Fucking whales to get their shit together!

Visa withdrew the license for all companies offering a BTC linked visa card a few weeks ago - so all Visa BTC cards are now extinct. It took me weeks to get my funds released. Also Bitwala had their bank cease all btc to fiat withdrawals.

Bitwala are claiming though that they are very close to releasing the first BTC bank account, so your BTC account will be linked to a Bitwala debit card and Bitwala bank account...but we shall see.

I think BTC to Fiat will become increasingly difficult.

Why so sure? Smiley

I'll be more sure when the trolls arrive. That's usually when the countdown begins.

But the dip now is different then all the others I think. The mothership is going down.

How do you mean?

Did bitcoin go down this much all the times xmr went down last year ?

No, it did not.

But it has done this before, maybe you're right, but I think crypto will survive this...

Let’s hope so. Its I risk I am willing to take Smiley. It would be nice to hear aminorix his opinion , or smooth or fluffy pony:)

It's done it before and will do it again, hold onto your panties ladies, now is not the time to panic, just imagine if you had sold a chunk near the top you would be feeling pretty good now.

The fundamentals have not changed.

All Fluffyponza would tell you is to not invest in monero.

Just have faith in JM's rule of 5

Has anyone successfully upgraded their poloniex account recently? Submitted documents about 3 weeks ago now and heard absolutely nothing.

Used exactly the same documents with Kraken and upgraded to Tier 3 within a week. Not used it for trading yet, are fiat withdrawals from Kraken reliable?

It seems we are not safe yet... 400 bi total marketcap is a support... hope we hold

Never a worry with XMR. Just fill yer boots with as many as you can. We have been here many times before, and those long term hodlers are so used to these cycles we just ride them, i used to get so stressed and depressed when xmr tanked, now i almost find it amusing that its become so predictable.

made me laugh as well that so many put the btc tank down to the Asian exchange news....seems to work everytime still. Bitcoin is a technical beast, fundamentals seem to be orchestrated perfectly to fit its technical trading. Honeybadger dont give a monkeys.

It's not about HW wallets or anything, XMR is being price suppressed because big players are accumulating it big time. As someone said smart money is well aware of monero and they want to keep it as much as they can for themselves until inflation is low and they can mark the price way up

Didn't you guys notice we always are the last to pump ? its because pump happen in hierarchical orders, first you get the shittest of the the shitcoins with the wierd names like GROESTLECOIN and so on, then you got noob coins and strange coins and semi good coins, and when smart money has taken dumb money for as much as they can they pump XMR because they need to store their accumulated wealth somewhere, and whats the better place than monero?

Next year, we'll be at 4% inflation, this is bitcoin level nows, and then quickly we'll be under bitcoin yearly inflation... this will be the time to mark up the price BIG TIME, I'm talking BTC current level

This is a slow play, this is like poker when you got quad aces and you want to take as much as you can from the noobs, you take your time, you let dumb money bids and buy DRAGONCHAIN and then you put your profit back into XMR.

RINSE and REPEAT until we're at 2-3% inflation and price is above 10K and doesn't come back.

At last...someone saying it as it is. Great to hear from you Darlidada, been a long time. We used to chat on IRC a few years ago as we were both very early monero adopters (mainly thanks to aminorex and risto) (new bcttalk acc as i got hacked)..hope your still hodling? Been the best investment i have made, monero has changed my life completely.

completely agree with your post, traders are gonna trade shitcoins with one motive - to increase their buying power for more monero. It is a cycle we see again and again. and everytime when monero takes a breather we hear posts saying its because of lack of marketing...ha ha.

My XMR have been stuck in Binance for weeks. I can trade but not withdrawl. Anyone else have this same problem?

Same problem here. Thinking in trade them to another currency, and then moving to bittrex where it allows to withdraw monero.

Good idea, might do the same.

its getting hard to buy monero at the moment, withdrawals not working from polo or binance, and both bittrex and bfx are currently not accepting new registrations.

never had a problem with polo before, been buying xmr there for a few years. so i deposit xmr sell this week buy back today and now cannot withdraw my precious xmr..maybe i being punished for putting them on exchange  Sad

I think during these times, the best strategy is to hold.
If it were to look back at history, time tells it will be a dump.
However, xmr was way undervalued, so this could be a special case of pure skyrocketing and traders and shorters will get awesomely rekt.

Yup, it's truley gambling right now to play this market and I'm a gambler but I don't like the odds of selling and watching the spike you missed. Been there done that and it hurts. Smiley

Past experience has taught us there is usually always a big dump after such a rapid increase in price. But i for one, am far too emotionally attached to monero to risk trading anymore, i now only look long term. Many times i have regretted not selling some after a rise in order to buy more back cheaper, but every single time monero has gone on to reach higher highs in the long term. I think if you are not in desperate need of funds then just sit tight. I always sleep well holding monero even when the price is falling as the technology remains a game changer.

Is it just me? I get the feeling that most bitcoiners are pro monero in private, but shy away from public endorsement. Why is this? Is monero tainted in any way?

Anyone with enough intelligence to do their own due diligence by reading the whitepaper, spending time in irc and reddit and monitoring github will be pro monero. Anyone with other agendas, i.e short term coin flipping, pumping groups, short term wealth creation will troll it as much as they can for their own gains. But fluffybadger does not care either way, its all water of a ducks back...quack quack

How can we ever forget True Cryptonaire, although the following post is far more amusing.

We both got into Monero around the same time thanks to Risto and Aminorex putting in our radar, around the time of the Mintpal pump. Unfortunately TC demonstrated his lack of foresight and sold all his holdings. I have never lost faith in this coin, reading the posts from trolls just makes me smile, when you trust the tech of a coin completely and respect the dev team 100% how can you not.

would you buy some xmr right now?

Sure...one of the only credible alt coins out there.

I disagree.
Monero seems so hard to code that there are very few wallet providers supporting it. Remember, Jaxx gave up. Also no hardware wallets so good luck storing your coins outside of the exchange in a secure manner.

Basically Monero is in the same situation it was 1-2 years ago. Hardly real world use cases.
Actually, it is even worse now as even Crypto Kingdom is out of the picture.

The utility of Monero is very limited and basically it is just another shitcoin.
In my opinion, the current price is very lucrative selling opportunity - after all it is like 4-5 times higher than 1 year ago.

What has made the last 24 hours even more joyous for the hodlers is not having to listen to the King of Flip Flops Truecryptonaire spouting his usual drivel.
he probably made some of the worst calls i have ever seen.

Even the speculation thread seems to have matured nicely along with xmr now.

i think we will have a fair few millionaires created this year from our beloved monero. If i could hug Aminorex i for sure would, that guys foresight and insight with monero has given me the ability to completely change my life.  I still believe that FPs fake news that so many criticised him for was a mastermind idea, and just gave even more exposure to monero, and in the long term more credibility.
