Re: [ANN] FutureBit M.2 to GPU Riser adapter!

Hey jstef.  Just got 13 of these from Holy the other day and, first off, they look great.  With that said, having mixed success thus far... working on getting them installed and only 1 of 3 are allowing Windows to recognize the attached GPU.  FYI, I have confirmed the riser itself is working by unplugging from your m2 and plugging directly into motherboard (Windows recognizes then).

Motherboard = ASUS Prime Z270-A

All other hardward & bios settings are the same.  Any ideas what I can try?  Thx!!!

This is from the ASUS site (https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/PRIME-Z270-A/specifications/):

1 x M.2 Socket 3, , with M Key, type 2242/2260/2280 storage devices support (PCIE mode only)*2

I bought 2 of of some cheaper looking ones off Amazon a while back but ended up not using them because I heard some people friend their mobos. I think they only support either SATA or PCIE mode. Some motherboards are configured for SATA only m.2 while others can do NVME and PCIE modes. Just thinking out loud.

Try collecting from faucets if you have free time. It may only be a little BTC but it's better than nothing and its free. Also if BTC keeps going up and if you plan on purchasing the cord with BTC you'll get to $10 in no time.

So the fastest CPU is the same speed as the slowest GPU....

Ancient old 7850 2gb gets 65Sol/s

Considering the price of 7850 used now which is about 60 USD as we speak it still maybe a good option (of course if you have cheap electricity). I would be personally happy with 65 Sol/s from the GPU and 10 Sol/S from my CPU.

My PC stays on at least 12 hours a day or even more for other duties so if I add mining what can be the problem? I pay that pay for electricity. I am thinking of buying a RX 460 as a card for my new PC, should perform better than 7850 and the power consumption is 2.5 times lower. It looks like this Zcash is quite profitable mining with GPU-s.

How many Sol/s are 460s putting out?

Should be noted that there is a 10% developer fee that isn't mentioned in OP.

From Google Play Store:

Quote
A scrypt miner for mining litecoin through litecoinpool.org.
Features:

- Mine in the background
- Mine only when charging (Optional)
- Mine only on WIFI (Optional)
- Choose mining threads
- Stop mining on low battery (Optional)

Totally free, just donates one in ten shares to developer.

Disclaimer:

Mining is a very intense task that puts strain on your CPU and will make your device get very hot. The developer is not liable for any effect this app has on your device in any way.

What are the best GPUs for mining altcoins? isn't it odd that there are GPUs priced at $1000 and even more but when you benchmark them you'll see that for mining they are not worth a penny Smiley

for now the best seems the 470 on zcash with its 120 sol, otherwise for nvidia you only have the 1060 3gb which cost a bit more and does only 65 sol or something

but consumption is lower for nvidia, because of no proper optimization also, anyway i would probably not buying a new rig now

How are you getting 120 on your 470? What mem straps/bios?

McGregor just knocked out Alvarez lol he killed Alvarez! Easy money won here and most of us on this forum would of won as most had McGregor winning this fight. I'm just a little upset I lost my parlay but I made up for it with McGregor winning his fight. Congrats Conor McGregor on the win.
now i started to believe in the hype train called Mcgregor he just defeated who i thought would smash connor ,lost my parlay but UFC205 had one of the best fights in the history of the sport with Woodley and Thomson ending up being a draw which was one hell of a fight.

I'm still in disbelief that he got out of the choke. I really thought it was over at that point.

Conor will win by knockout within the first 3 rounds. If not, it will either go the distance or Alvarez will submit him. Conor has 3 losses, all from submissions. One from 2008, one from 2010, and the most recent in 2016 by Diaz. Conor does have a longer reach than Eddie as well. If Eddie can avoid McGregor's power strikes, I think he will try to submit him. He probably knows that Conor hasn't been knocked out and it will be easier to try to lure him to the ground instead of going the full rounds. With that said I am a McGregor fan and hope he wins.

My bets will be:

McGregor by KO/TKO
Alvarez by Submission

and depending on the odds I will probably bet fight goes the distance/fight doesn't go the distance.

@Claymore
looks like some sync related bug - I've got a mixed rig here: it has 370, 470 and 480s.
If I run different intensity (2 for 400 and 1 for 370) I get about 15% of shares rejected.
If all is set to "-i 2" - no problem, rejects below 1%

What rates are you getting for your 370 and what clock settings?
