Re: [ANN][MNM][LAUNCHED] MINEUM |x13| PoW STARTED
by

First of all part of the reason most of the above cited buybacks don't result in any reasonable long term financial benefits is that when a typical fiat company buys back stock, they don't burn it.

When MINEUM buys back it will be burning the tokens, which will increase the value of each token that shareholders have and receive for POS staking. Those fiat companies could at anytime, dump those bought back shares and even if they don't, it's still a totally different animal.

Considering the article's restaurant analogy, it just doesn't take the scenario far enough to apply to a company like MINEUM. What needs to be said in relation to removing tables in the MINEUM restaurant, is that not only will it equate to more people sitting at each table, but will also increase the price of the food that will be guaranteed to be bought each month (worst case only bought through buyback). It's almost as though the guests know that the chef will be burning some of the food each night and the food that he doesn't burn will be worth more.

The next effect of the process that wasn't illustrated by the article is that the shareholder owned MINEUM restaurant will now be enabling the longtime holders that would like to stop eating at the restaurant a chance to do so.

Also, a transition removing shareholders from the table equation enables the restaurant some nice advertising by now becoming eligible to be located in better locations (Bittrex for example) and land the project at an extremely high position in relation to price increase (% increase on exchange main pages) for the public to see. Perhaps offering token holders healthy discounts on some type of MINEUM services would be possible.

As many have previously stated, regardless of how long the ROI actually is, the existing model needs a boost.

Maybe a buyback will offer a nice little kickstart to push the food out a little faster, tastier and to more customers that would like to perhaps take advantage of hosting services and all things MINEUM.

The only place where burned food tastes so good......

A little worried the heat I transferred from openledger appeared on transaction list unconfirmed, and now disappeared completely for at least a day. I guess I'll wait until everything is more stable before I follow up on it.
Yeah the release is total shit. They should have waited until this thing works, now it is just disappointing and sucks. But this is what you get when you promise heaven in order to raise more money in the ICO! They were just way too greedy! And then the ccex disaster came and they showed their greedyness once more and released a total shitty and untested client. What if there are even more bugs in it and people can just transfer money from any account to another? There are bugs in it that can force a fork to happen. This is so very irresponsible and show with what kind of dickwads we have to deal here. The greedyness was shown once more when they refused to refund people even though ccex did exactly that. These guys are greedy amateurs! Shame on you heatheads!

You caused this haha!

Now who's the dickwad lol

This is pure gold right here!!!

@HEAT_DEVS people talk about me that I made sockpuppet accounts. I did not! I could state the same about you guys now. Nonetheless The ice you walk on is very thin. Questions I asked are reasonable questions, if you continue to ignore them and with them your community you will make no progress, which means your project is lost! Do you really think you will grow in the next year? This is what is ineresting to your investors , especially if you want to sell company shares!!!!!!!! I would love to make a profit with HEAT but the way you behave there is no chance to make a profit. Even if I was not here you think anybody will take you seriously? ANSWER ME! I am not a troll coming out of nowhere!!! I AM ONE OF YOUR INVESTORS FOR GOD SAKE! You must be delusional to keep ignoring me!

Haha and there we have it folks...

Seriously mate, you've posted in this thread over 70 times, most of which have been repetitive, childish, fud filled posts and you're still asking why they aren't answering your questions...you been blocked pal!!!

You do realize who you're hurting with all this, don't you.  If you had spent an equal amount of time and energy spreading honey through half the posts that you've written, you'd be a lot farther in your journey for answers. I can only hope that you don't inefficiently row your douche canoe through your day life like you do here, because there are much more effective and happier ways of getting what you want....

Well, for those that are worried or disturbed about StewieG's view about the project, I have been on the receiving end of criticism like his on a project before and for what it's worth it actually didn't phase me one bit.

Actually, not once did I feel bad, guilty or troubled that a few people were disappointed in my performance. Never did I say to myself, "damn I got to change how I'm doing things, because this guy is relentless and isn't going away".

In fact, sometimes I was glad it was happening, because I knew that I was going to finish the project and make it real regardless of the fud.  This helped make it seem like more of an accomplishment in at least a few people's eyes, so I just enjoyed absorbing his energy.  At one point they even accused me of being one of the fudders, giving myself an excuse to make it seem like it was expected for me to get sick of it all and just disappear with all the startup money...

What's funny is that StewieG feels that if HEAT is not released, he gets to be right about something and if HEAT does get released StewieG gets to say, "I helped make it happen"...lol At this point he can't afford to shut up and has no choice but to keep his position 'stewing'. Regardless of what Stewer is thinking and whether or not he is right about any of it, it's always interesting to see smart articulate people like him (albeit impatient) melt down and prematurely misdirect their energy in an attempt to piss away a piece of their portfolio because they (can't be wrong) let themselves mix emotion and money...

Also StewieG, for someone as good as you at calling out scumbaggery and helping others not to invest in this or any other project of this team's, you sure are giving a good lesson on how to fud (regardless if you are truly being honest)...this here folks is how it's done!!! First lesson here kids, is that you have to make a pathology out of the fud...got to believe yourself first before you can be a true 'SpewieG'

The coolest part about all this is that I know exactly what you're going to say next...so I'm gonna DM it to a couple people so, like you, no matter what happens, I can take some credit for what happens from you next...

Be careful people, you really don't know what me or anybody else here really want's. Don't let one savior, one responder, or two devs that aren't making the choices that you think they should change your mind about a project. You put your money into this, so keep standing behind it.

Re: How will this change the world of mining?? GTX 1080 / 1070

I have a question

Does the GTX 1070 only do poorly with Eth in windows, or is it for all coins?

And how does the GTX 1070 perform on dual mining. I am not seeing mention in the last few pages.

I do know it does 26 -27 Mhs on eth using 131w @ 64C stock running Ubuntu 16.04

It also gets 1.2 Mhs average on Neoscrypt using 181w @ 68C also on 16.04 ccminer  sp fork

It also does pretty well on lyra too

I'm happy with the 1070s and feel confident about roi considering they work pretty well on eth for now and can also switch around to other algos when eth diff gets too high.

What else is cool about pascal is that I all ready have a few gamers that will buy them if I pull them offline.

1.2MH on neoscrypt is impressive, even for linux do you have some proof of that hashrate?

Next time I move over to Neo I'll screen cap for you, but there are many threads where people are doing the same...

Right now feather is so low that I'm on eth.

I'm pretty sure that there will be a wallet soon.  Just the mining pool platform makes it worth continuing work on the project.  It's a neat idea and definitely has potential.

I may have missed it, but is there a slack that we could discuss any issues that may be occurring in relation to wallet development.

Maybe the dev should ask for help form us, if he is short on time...

Re: [ANN] ICOcountdown.com Tokenizes Himself (Crowdfund)
by
umop-apisdn
on 22/05/2016, 00:20:33 UTC
This is really interesting that this is happening. Me being very new to crypto and wanting to invest without getting scammed has driven me to analyze the thread content of as many new projects as possible. I totally missed the boat on BTC and some other great opportunities, so I feel attracted to ICOs. I know that this may not be in my best interest, but I, like everyone else, want to make returns like some did on BTC.

During my research, as have many of us, I've come to the realization that there is no way possible for one to keep up with everything, considering how fast these new projects are popping up. That being said, I have latched on to what we know as ICO countdown. This seemed to me a great idea to keep up with all of the new ICO's.

In following ICO countdown, I had assumed that I had avoided at least a handful of scams. Although, it seems as though I had already invested in a couple that he was supporting and then stopped. I was already emotionally attached to these projects and did not want to be beaten and caught up into a scam. So, like anyone else would have done, I did due diligence and completed my own research. I did and still can't find anything whatsoever wrong to the point of removing a project from a website like he did. Then another project that I had been following is removed from the website. At this point I'm thinking to myself man, I'm blind as a bat how am I missing this stuff. So, again I dig in interview the developer, you know the drill...low and behold, in no way shape or form did the project need to be pulled down off of said website.

Now instead of researching new projects, I've been following this ICO countdown. LOL there is a seriously alarming trend with this ICO character.

So in other words, I didn't want to be wrong, nor did I want to get burned either, but I seriously think that this dude is becoming a scammer. I have actually heard first hand from more than one coin developer that they felt like they were being extorted.
I think this has gone too far ICOcountdown. Take a step back and look at what is happening and unless you have another idea to anonymously pursue, you have pretty much done yourself in here.  Of course you have gotten some of the scams off the books, but if you take or ask projects for money, you’ve already proven to be biased and would probably list a scam in a minute.

This service of yours is needed, but you need a team that can help you with things because if one looks closely at your website and some of the threads that you have started, it’s obvious that you are very inexperienced and accidentally fell into this ICOcountdown idea.
You are wasting a lot of people’s time, when you could have already been rich off this idea.  Don’t waste anyone else’s time.

What type of things are you testing with those rigs?

Are they new cards?

We are testing new optimization, software, updates and some more.

These GPU have a few months already Wink
We had a Zotac on it at first... But you know... It didn't last long haha

Okay cool.

How long after the ico will it take to get the additional rigs put together and running?

I really like the fact that just by holding 10k tokens you become a shareholder and you get to hold the tokens in your own wallet.

Once you're a shareholder, can you get payouts in MNMs or other currencies?

Not that I will, but being able to sell my share at anytime is comforting. I hope I can afford to be a shareholder.

I have asked the devs who is involved with the Escrow, they have given me nothing to go on.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1418497.msg14716668#msg14716668

They seem to have been developing for a while but I think it’s all closed source code, meaning that you can be getting a clone of the orginal software.

The 1st day bonus is strange because there is no other tiered rewards and seem to be drawing people in initially.

Be cautious.

I'm not sure why a team would release the github to you before launch...I wouldn't even consider it.

Doing so has caused problems for coins in the past.
