I'm using both block erupters and blue furies on the same instance of bfgminer.

Like previous posters have said, you just have to specify your devices.  It's pretty easy to do on Linux.  I'm using RedHat 6, but the process should be similar on Ubuntu.  To find out where your miners are, run:
Code:
ls /dev/tty*

Block erupters show up as /dev/ttyUSB# and blue furies are /dev/ttyACM#

So your basic bfgminer command for 3 erupters and 2 blue furies would be:
Code:
bfgminer -c bfgminer.conf -S erupter:/dev/ttyUSB0 -S erupter:/dev/ttyUSB1 -S erupter:/dev/ttyUSB2 -S bigpic:/dev/ttyACM0 -S bigpic:/dev/ttyACM1

note that I've defined the blue furies as "bigpic".  On Ubuntu I had to use "bitfury" but on Windows it was "BF1".  I actually run 21 erupters and 2 furies.  It makes for a very long command line, but I launch with a shell script so it's no more difficult than specifying 'all'.

Using bfgminer 3.4 on Xubuntu I got 2.3Gh/s with no errors.

Moved to bfgminer 3.4 on RedHat (RHEL6) and still get 2.3Gh/s but now see the ~60% error rate.

One interesting thing I noticed:
on Ubuntu I had to use "-S bitfury:/dev/ttyACM0" - but...
on RHEL I had to use "-S bigpic:/dev/ttyACM0"

Yet the Windows miner uses BF1: ...  why all the differences?

I got one from a toll-free number today.

Asian sounding lady.  Didn't even listen long enough to hear what the ripoff of the day was.

I take it this stuff is only for the first 3 auction's ? I bought a blade from FC for 50 BTC after all the auctions, and wondering if that qualifies for anything.

As did I.  Am curious, cuz this thing will never ROI.

Were these 'batches' just the initial auctions?  Are non-auction, direct purchases made in May included in this too?

Is MinePeon a dead project?  I tried accessing minepeon.com last week and it wasn't up.  Still isn't for me today.

You don't need a crossover cable.  Though that shouldn't matter if your switch is auto-sensing.

Does your PC and the blade have the same IP address set for the gateway?  If your PC can access the internet that one is correct.

Received mine earlier today, total shipping time was like two and a half days.  It is hashing right now at 10,745MH without any tweaking.

This post is a great help on the setup.  Piece of cake, though I am pursuing another method to mount the board.  I knows ASICMiner uses blade-style rack boxes but some screw mounting holes on the PCB would have be extremely helpful.

CampBX and MtGox allow Dwolla transfers.  There's no way Dwolla doesn't know what those companies do, so don't worry about it.

I believe there was a kerfuffle involving BitInstant and Dwolla a year or more ago, but it wasn't over Bitcoin directly.

Re: How would you use Avalon Asic Chips
by

on 29/04/2013, 03:13:23 UTC
The chips need to be installed on a board.  There is no board you can just plug them into.

There are other people on the forum (marketplace / auction section) who are buying ASICMiner chips and making their own boards.  Someone from there should be able to help you.

Just the regular QT client.  With an encrypted wallet.dat and file system encryption and several offline backups.
