I agree with this. I have found learning about crypto relatively easy and feel I can give people some easy to understand general information about it. However it does depend on who you're talking to. Some people I have spoke to have some understanding but will argue that it's a bubble til they're blue in the face. Some people ask out of curiosity then their eyes glaze over and admit it's "over their heads" but wish they could understand!?  Then there are those who completely dismiss it as not real money and won't even entertain it.
I think a lot of it comes down to interest, if people are interested in technology or even learning new things then that's half the battle. There's so many resources out there to increase knowledge of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology but it's not on everyone's radar.

I agree with both of these comments. Sadly, because of the rapid rise in price it has made a lot of people sit up and take notice, but for all the wrong reasons. Seen as a get rich quick scheme, people are blindly throwing money into something they don't understand or know nothing about. It's scary really. I also agree that there needs to some education at school as university is not attended by everyone and you would need to choose a relevant course to learn. In an ever increasing digital world, we need to prepare young people for the future, and like you say school is one of the best platforms.

It is a real shame that the ICO wasn't as successful as we all hoped, the market has really made great projects suffer. The team still seem working hard behind the scenes to continue to make this project a success and I'm sure it will be. I'll still be following the progress and look forward to seeing more in the coming weeks and months.

DESICO are definitely doing things right. It is very refreshing I must say. I think we'll see more security tokens than utility in the future and I'm glad to see some regulation in this area of crypto. Hopefully we'll see less scams and more great projects utilising blockchain technology in the real world thus ever getting closer to mass adoption.
I'm looking forward to participating in some STOs one the platform goes live.

I'd definitely recommend using a hardware wallet for holding, especially long term. Or at the very least a paper wallet and as someone previously suggested definitely print off more than few copies!!

Sorry to hear that. I agree, many are looking for that security and trust, including myself, DESICO looks to be a game changing solution unlike any other.

This is fantastic!! Can't fault these guys for their presence not just within the crypto community but within education too. I used to work in education, so the subject is one that's close to my heart. The project itself was a no brainer for me but I am very impressed with the team and what they're doing. It just fuels my confidence in OSUni.

Ah no worries, I'm genuinely excited for the impact Desico will have on the future of security tokens. Also, I appreciate the sneak-peak platform preview, I love the look of it so far! Nice and easy to navigate, well laid out, any and all information you may need to make an informed decision to invest appears to be there - and pointing you to the relevant channels for more. The investor portfolio dashboard is a nice touch, and I like the community interaction feature too. 

I'm excited for what Desico aims to achieve. The built-in exchange is such a good idea too, providing that liquidity straight away. All too many times, people have been burned by investing in ICO's but then see that the token not be listed for months on end. I must admit, I agree that it all looks very complicated as mentioned earlier in the thread, but the explanatory videos are very helpful. And more and more reviews/articles are popping up every day. I look forward to following this project closely.

One of the things that initially drew me to this project was how practical it is making smart contracts usable in the real world.  I mean if this isn't a step towards a more blockchain accepted/adopted future, then I don't know what is.

I've enjoyed watching what the team have been up to this week. London Tech Week is a huge deal, so I have loved seeing the updates in their Telegram channel. Exciting times ahead.

Education is a real investment. We all need it however not everyone has access to it for whatever the reason. I just love what OSU is trying to achieve. It will enable students irrespective of background to have a record of attainment and show potential employers that they don't necessarily have to have a degree or specific curriculum for x number of years in order to make them an ideal candidate. The impact could be HUGE.

Yeah it's a fantastic achievement. They were also named within the top 10 social innovation ideas globally back in 2016. I think that's something people don't necessarily realise as well is that this is a well established project dating back to 2015 - this isn't a whirlwind ICO. I mean a lot of work has been done, strong team with academic supporters and a whole wealth of experience. Ticks all the boxes for me.

I saw CryptoVaper's review and it really piqued my interest. Education and the blockchain - what's not to love. The nomination is well deserved. Still perusing the whitepaper at the moment but really excited for OS Uni's future!

Contract Vault only entered my radar earlier this week but everything I have read so far is very encouraging. Their TG admin are on the ball and very helpful too which is always good to see. Their early preparations and connections look sound. Also pleased I haven't missed the pre-sale now that they've extended it.
