Re: What's your biggest bet, loss and win
by
unknown-user
on 28/04/2020, 13:13:02 UTC
My biggest winning I think is 1200$, and my biggest lost I think is 500$. I do not bet that much unlike other gamblers but I am good with that. Take note that the amount is just an approximation and it does not include my total loss because I lost count regarding this matter. My point is that, I do gamble just to kill time and not to be rich in an instant which I think should be the midset of other gamblers who are avoiding addiction. Gambling is an addictive activity. Many lives suffered due to gambling addiction and it is simply applicable to all things, everything that is too much is not good.  Always be in control of your actions especially in such activity.
There was a time when I was still addicted to gambling, I remembered that I bet a whole BTC on a sportsbook, I can't remember the odds tho but that time bitcoin were climbing to its all-time high that why I think it's one of the biggest bet and risk I did into my life. I win though maybe because of luck and the research I made.
Luck I think is the main thing behind a win to most of the gambling platforms and games being played. Analaysis do not work often, just think of those who are into gambling that much who are making deep analyses but are still ending up losing huge money.

Re: Your Gambling Life During Quarantine
by

on 28/04/2020, 12:21:48 UTC
Somehow I manage to not play since the lockdown happen. One reason is that I am anticipating something so I decided not to use my crypto holdings to gamble, also I do prioritize the things that I would need for a daily living right now which I think is enough reason to not use money with gambling right now. In my country, there is a shortage with regards to the supply which forced me to have a stock of goods as early as possible and since theres no guarantee of when will things be back to normal, I am saving money for emergency purposes. But surely, I would be back playing once things are 'normalized', it is just for me that this is not the right time to gamble.

Also, I got myself busy with other things such as watching movies aiding my urge to gamble. The time I am spending with movies somehow helps me to not think of gambling at this moment. A matter of making yourself busy and to move my attention away from gambling.

Re: Now is the best time

Releasing of projects won't be affected by the increase in the interest of people towards cryptocurrency. Indeed, there's an increase because people are taking this opportunity to learn things about blockchain and crypto, due to the increase also on the demand in blockchain skills by many companies. But the motive is the thing that matters. People are into cryptoactivities but not all people are into project investment especially at this situation wherein people are using their money to their daily needs more than putting it to investments. So maybe, this won't also be the time for projects yet.
Most important thing is now you could do nothing outside but in home there are so many thing you can do,  like investing, working online. And i think its a great time to make the way of new project and investment sector's.
Think of how many people pulled their bitcoin investment which contributed to the decline recently. It simply proves that people are only into knowledge at this point but are prioritizing things over cryptoinvestment, more likely things that has something to do with their needs, given that there are shortage to some places.

Re: How much have you earned in one year
by
unknown-user
on 27/04/2020, 15:15:23 UTC
The amount differs depending on the market situation within a particular year. For example, the market price of cryptos are high at the year 2017, the profit earned by many investors and users are high. But when the decline occurred after that, the situation reflected to the profit being earned by the users, as simple as that. It would be hard to determine the average income per year if the gap is huge, thus making the average income not accurate.

Also, no one would reveal the exact amount of their earnings for some personal reasons. But to give you an idea, just like what I have said, there will be times that profit will be big, and times wherein it would be low. I think this would settle the concern.

Re: What is your expectations with bitcoin after halving..?
by
unknown-user
on 27/04/2020, 14:19:57 UTC
To be honest, my expectations are not that high regarding the Bitcoin halving. Maybe that is because of the situation we are currently seeing in the market and also to the fact that there's no consistency when it comes to the market itself. Not because the market prices increase after the previous halving, same thing would automatically happen on the anticipated one. There are other factors to consider, the economy outside I think is one thing.

Halving is simply cutting the supply of Bitcoin into half, correct me if I am wrong. It won't make much of changes unless the supply would be limited which would cause an increase to the demand as well as to its market value, followed by the increase of other crypto's price (more likely to happen).

Re: Buying btc from a forum member
by
unknown-user
on 27/04/2020, 13:37:45 UTC
Trust score won't be reliable, the user who gave the trust would matter and would add meaning to that whether other users in this forum should trust that particular user when it comes on transaction. But if you are really wanting  for assurance, just buy Bitcoin in exchanges or use wallets which allows users to convert fiat into crypto, Bitcoin perhaps.
a legit person will never send you a personal message, he will make a thread or will trade with you personally, don't trust a person just because he said he is legit, i have encountered this kind of scam, before specially now in telegram, they will send you a message asking you information, if they findout you have money, they will lure you to something then get away with your money so be very careful specially now, scammer are all over the place because of pandemic
Not all the time. If they do know one another in this forum, a user could still be a legitimate one even if he does so. But I do get the point that is why asking in this forum would be a good idea or asking those which are having good reputations.

One could get a positive trust if a DT decides to add you to their trust list or decides to write a positive feedback. This doesn't mean the person is forever trusted. Change could happen that's why you need to always check previous trade history of the person you're dealing and if you aren't sure of who you're with, you can use one of the trusted escrow on the forum.
This is right. Trust points would still be a number at the end of the day and the behavior of that individual cannot be measured by such thing. It would be better to use exchanges when you are planning to invest in crypto. But also, do check the reputation of the exchanger you would engage yourself into.

Re: 500$ - 30,000$ Gambling Challenge
by
unknown-user
on 27/04/2020, 12:48:56 UTC
This would be hard I think. No matter what your method is, gambling would still be a 'gamble', meaning there's no assurance of winning. Therefore, it would make sense to think that profit will not be consistent in a way that a gambler would not always win. If your method is through esport platform, it is indeed skill-based but luck would still be playing its part. Good thing that in a short period of timr you have accumulated an increase regarding your starting money, meaning, you've won. But as I've said, winning will not be consistent, it could slow down your progress or worse, it would generate loss eventually.

But yes, this is indeed an interesting way in order to make gambling more enjoyable especially during a situation we are currently experiencing. Goal is necessary in gambling but it would depend to the individual on how would he manage to have control, and discipline at the same time. Note that it is gambling we are talking about.

Re: how can i buy bitcoin?
by
unknown-user
on 27/04/2020, 11:56:33 UTC
There are various ways in order to acquire Bitcoin or an amount of it perhaps, and investing or buying is the easiest way, I think to do so. In order for an individual to invest to it ,one could use exchanges or cryptowallets. There are options, as the previous posts have mentioned, that allows an individual to convert fiat(currency which has a physical form) to crypto( general term referring to different coins including Bitcoin).

You may also buy an amount from other investors or users but using exchanges and wallets would be a lot easier.

Re: Why most gamblers can never hold onto big bag?
by
unknown-user
on 27/04/2020, 11:16:30 UTC
That's more likely a gambler's mentality. A gambler would usually play despite of the fact that winning is not certain. Once an individual experienced winning, regardless of his losses, he would continue and urge to again experience 'that' experience. Only few gamblers are being able to save their winnings, most of the gamblers are again using their winnings to play and eventually it would consume more. It is a matter of discipline. If a gambler won't control his self, such scenario would be the outcome.
I think this happens to addicted gamblers and most of us are addicted up to a certain point. However winning like 30 ETH is a big amount of money if started out with a small amount. If I won that amount I would stop immediately and cash out 20 ETH and then I would have continued to play until I win more or I lost everything.
It is not as aeasy as it sounds. From how I understood gambling habit, the bigger your winnings are, the more you would play and engage your money in it. It can be associated with psychology, in particular with learned rewarding system. A habit perhaps, would be sustained through rewarding system, reward in this case is winnings, and the habit is playing more.

Re: Is it true that 99% of ICOs are either failed or scam?
by
unknown-user
on 15/12/2018, 23:10:11 UTC
I see a lots of ICO with the use of their coins are similar. They raised money, got them and ran away.
Concepts are indeed alike but it doesn't mean that one is connected with one another. Also there are indeed projects which are reported to be scam and also, failed projects but maybe it is not as huge as 99%, and also not because for a reason that projects are somewhat the same, but rather due to the negative market behavior this year. Scam projects on the other hand are really just due to bad people.

Re: 2000$ to invest now?!
by
unknown-user
on 15/12/2018, 22:53:06 UTC
Investing at this moment will be a risky action knowing how bad the market is. The market value of the cryptos are indeed low which is surely tempting to invest and would probably give an idea of easy money but is not. At this moment, determining which one will be able to withstand the continuous dumps, is hard which serves as a risk from investing right now

Re: Ethereum has begun to show positive trends
by

on 02/12/2018, 16:28:44 UTC
Do not be confident with the positive marks that the market is showing at this moment. There is a higher tendency that it will agaim be on red in a sudden. The same with the majority of cryptos, the price of ethereum would more likely to recover next year. So the best thing to do right now is to avoid making unnecessary actions and focus into holding and waiting.

by

on 02/12/2018, 16:14:56 UTC
If so, when?
Actually, it have already passed through such value last year. But what happened this year is beyond everyone's expectations. The market value of ethereum along with other cryptos fell in a sudden due to the continuous market downtrend. Frkm havkng a market value of 1400usd, it is now below 200usd. So when will it again achieve such price? No one knows but that should be an enough reason to wait and to be patient because when that day again come, profit will surely be again earned.

Re: Crypto market in depression
by

The crypto market is on a rapid downward spiral and almost all coins including so called good coins are down in prices. Is there any chances the market will recover? In my opinion, it takes the end of the year 2018 to recover the market. What are your views?
Probably, there will be no hope for a comeback this year. The last month have already started but still, nothing positive is occuring in the market. This might be an obvious sign that as investors and users, we should accept the fact that there will be times for downfall with regards to our profit and the market itself and it won't always be in favor with our plans and expectations so just be patient for now

Re: What's are you expectations about cryptocurrency at 2020
by

on 02/12/2018, 15:24:04 UTC
Well so far cryptocurrency has done amazingly it's has revolutionalize the way transactions are done. And it has cut a lot of lapses that banking system has. Bitcoin been the king of cryptocurrency with it hit market cap and volume is the most wanted coin right now well prediction can be deceiving but what are your expectations about cryptocurrency
Such thing is impossible to be accurate for sure. What proves this is the scenario this year. Last year was jndeed a huge year which made the people expect that this year would be a bigger one but turned out to be the opposite of what was expected. The main point is that there is no consistency when it comes on market behavior so unfortunate scenarios should also be expected.

Re: are there bounties worth paying $1000?
by
unknown-user
on 02/12/2018, 15:10:50 UTC
The development of bitcointalk forum has really made a good change in my life ever since I was introduced into crypto. The forum has led me to search for bounties which pay well but I think the highest I have earned from participating in a bounty was worth $500. I want to know if there are very laudable projects which can fetch me over thousands of dollars. Guys, it will be a nice offer if you post some of the best bounties which pay over $1000 after completing the campaign.
At times like this, expecting of such thing to happen will be a punch to the moon. The market is on continuous downtrend and it negatively influences the projects as well as bounty campaigns ofcourse. Before  there are really projects that do pay such amount but finding a project of a kind is really impossible right now so we better wait.

Traders would be familiar with the saying “ buy when there is blood on the streets “ this is the best time to load up on oversold and undervalued crypto.  My bag is ready to load up on more Canyacoin CAN
Investors should also be awared of the risks by doing so. Keep in mind that not all cryptos won't be able to withstand such problems with regards to contonuous market downfall. Especially when it comes on newly listed coins, high risk is present since most of the projects being released are being negatively influenced by the downtrend.

Re: Which alt coin can I invest?

There are many cryptos to choose from but due to the negative market situation, investing is not really that advisable. The market itself is complicated which causing huge problem with the investments resulting to huge profit loss for the investors. So it would be more convenient to not make any move but to rather wait for things to recover in the market.

Re: Bull market soon? Or a trap? 🤔
by

on 02/12/2018, 14:15:35 UTC
Considering the recent downtrend on the crypto market in less than 24hours, the market has recovers over 10% profit.

Many start-up projects has delayed listing for months due to the market conditions

Many listed projects who have listed below ico price for the fear of its price being dumped.

Holder don't know if to sell or hold.

What are we to expect next? Bull run or just a trap?
It would be hard to tell that the market will no longer recover. There is a higher tendency that it would but one thing is for sure; no one knows when will such thing occur. As such, it would be better to not make any action at this moment particularly with investing to newly listed cryptos in order to not fall into trap if ever the recovery will be taking more months to occur.
