Re: 3 Reasons Why Bitcoin Could Explode over 2019
by
unorowest
on 05/07/2019, 11:59:44 UTC
I'm not quite sure that these financial groups are aiming to help bitcoin grow in any way; the growth of bitcoin if anything hurts the influence these institutions have. If anything, they'll try to manipulate the price and seek to have their own trading bots go at it. seeing as how bitcoin is fairly more volatile as an asset compared to most stocks, they stand to make a pretty large amount if they are able to assert any control over the price.

They probably aren't, but they probably realize it's inevitable anyway, which is why they're going to enter in the first place. Either way, the end result is the same: more money in the market, and a more bullish case for investors.

Very true, but I think there are a whole lot of reasons we are yet to come to terms with, more will emerge in the coming days.

Re: Are you a Newbie again? Prove you're a quality poster and i'll give you 1 merit

Lol why are you like this ? He clearly is helping other newbies out there and he is willing to reward them with merits yet you criticize him with your bullshts. Shame.

He can find newbie quality articles in one place and distribute the merits to them. that's the best way. Why did he make them post statistics and turn it into a contest? I think he wants more people to see his work than he wants to help others. Although I'm a newcomer, I do not need that fake merit. ok

Man what are you saying here? what Contest? What work? What fake merit? it's clear you don't understand so please stop this nonsense and try bring value to the forum instead.

To anyone that wants me to move this thread, like other users said, i opened this 24 hours thread because after the changes to the merit system the board is full with the same complaints and threads, and i think that this thread can help to limit them.
I honestly don't know what the appropriate section is, someone says off topic, someone services (what services am i offering btw?  Grin).
I will wait for a moderator, that for sure will move the thread in the appropriate section if needed. But like i said, this thread will be closed in 24 hours.

I'm trying hard to learn more from everyone. Hope you will help me.
The following looks like plagiarism to me:

In many cases, we see people distributing fake e- mails for example to participate in a particular cryptocurrency ICO. This mainly happens on Telegram, but Slack may have the same problem. Never trust the address of your Ethereal wallet for you by strangers on the internet. Do not ask and trust this address, as you only get scam by doing so. Only use the address on the ICO website that you participate in.

In many cases, we see people distributing fake Ethereum wallet addresses to participate in a pre-ICO algorithm. This mainly happens on Telegram, but Slack can also have similar problems. Never trust the address of an Ethereal wallet sent by someone you do not know on the internet. Do not ask for these addresses, because all you have to do is just a big donkey. Use the information provided formally and the address displayed on the legitimate ICO website.

Edit:  And just FYI, I did report this as plagiarism.

Thank you for your work.

I am surprise that a lot of people are criticizing you for wanting to give out merits for quality post using this model, I actually think it's a very good idea that others should follow. We have heard of and seen many cases where quality posts were never rewarded because those saddled with the responsibility of rewarding valuable posts never got to read such posts, so employing this method to address such issues should be a welcome development.

A lot of persons (whales) have made so much profit from bitcoin by manipulating the market to their favour,  this is not good for the cryptocurrency world, as it will cause it will give the banking sector more reasons they should not support Cryptocurrency.

Re: Why bitcoin and ethereum meltdown ?
by
unorowest
on 14/09/2018, 22:44:25 UTC
The meltdown is due to multiple reasons, for example, several governments have planned and are still planning to regulate bcryptocurrency, this creates fear and so investors become scared to invest hugely in cryptocurrency, this results in less demand and subsequently, a fall in price.

With the rate at which people are going into investment in cryptocurrency and with good legislation by the government to support and legalize cryptocurrency, the one billion mark could be reached sooner than expected.

⭐ Merited by Leonardo7 (1)
My biggest regret about Bitcoin was investing most of the Bitcoin I had in 2015 in a scam project , where the founder ended up disappearing with my Bitcoins. This happened at a time when the price of Bitcoin was still relatively low, by now I would have become a multi millionaire in my country.

Cryptocurrency has come to stay, we live in an ever-changing world with an insatiable crave for technological advancement, so from this stand-point, I sincerely believe that not long from now, bitcoin and Cryptocurrency as a whole will come to enjoy the same benefit that fiat currency currently enjoys. The aim of Cryptocurrency is global acceptance and we will get there sooner than expected.

Can you share some advices with newbies for making crypto without invest? I found bounties and Airdrops which takes time to make some profit, but maybe there's a way, making $50-100-200+ a month with other ways spending time on the net? Any advice or info, not only for making money, but advice to learn something more in the crypto world appreciated!
Life is designed in such a way that nothing goes for nothing, you must do something in order to get something. There are actually other ways you can earn cryptocurrency, especially bitcoin, but you must be ready to put at least a little effort. Check out the link below:

I used to think Hodling of cryptocurrency is the best way to maximize profit, but I have learned otherwise in a very hard way. Right before my eyes, I watched with total disbelieve as most of the coins I Hodled fell like a pack of cards after rising to a very high profit level, greed you may say, but that is what happens to you once you decide to Hodl.

Re: Will bitcoin be harder to access in the future?
by

on 08/09/2018, 22:14:44 UTC
Considering the fact that bitcoin has a volume of 21 million tokens, when all of it has been mined and no new tokens are produced as would actually be the case, then accessing bitcoin would definitely be harder.

Backed by Microsoft and Starbucks, Intercontinental Exchange is launching a startup called Bakkt to make the cryptocurrency safe for your retirement fund, and maybe for retail, too.

This is good news for all Crypto lovers, if this succeeds, then we are all in for a fruitful reward, but I think the 401k price tag is way too optimistic, maybe we take it as it comes.

Re: Are you aware that some Banks accept Bitcoin?

Yo guys,
Are you aware that there is some banks that accept Bitcoin like Neteller or Skrill? I just discovered it so I was surprised. You can deposit your Bitcoin and use your Bank/Credit card to withdraw.
Now,it doesn't matter if Paypal adopt Bitcoin or not since it's primary competitors have already done so.*
What do you think?
Someone once asked if banks would ever permit bitcoin deposit, well, I think this is a good answer to that question, we can only hope that those governments that have banned bitcoin reconsiders their stance.

I appreciate your views and the fact that you are free to make your own deductions, but from my own point of view, your points are not valid. You talked about the 21 million volume of bitcoin being a problem, you forgot the fact that not all the tokens will end up in the hands of Hodlers, some will still be available for trading and will continue to move from trader to another, this will ensure continuous supply, or don't you think so?

Re: Newbie with merit? Yes its possible!
by
unorowest
on 26/08/2018, 22:01:01 UTC
Hi everyone, I thought long and hard about posting this as i am pretty new around here don't want to really be talking about the dreaded M (M*rit) word, or making myself look like a tw@t  Roll Eyes

However, I think its especially important that i get this out the right now while i am still currently a NEWBIE, and in my humble opinion i think that fellow newbies could take note of what I am saying. Apologies if this post is lengthy but stick with it as i promise it will help if you are struggling at first.

So firstly, I'd like to mention that I joined here in mid May and I've only been on here posting for around 1 week. I'm nobody special, just an average guy who has a young family and a strong interest in crypto/BTC. I have never been here previously and i do not KNOW anyone here in person, there is no bias toward you, me, or any other newbie in this forum. The problem we have here regarding 'Merit' seems to focus around it being perceived as unfair and/or impossible to achieve...

Well i am here to tell you that YOU ARE WRONG!

Weeks before i posted anything at all, i was on here looking looking through threads, looking at the topics that popped up time after time, looking and learning from the content, looking at the people who are posting the good stuff, looking to see if i could fit in and make a difference and/or help others!

Why is the merit system here?

Well its simple really, and it boils down to one word- QUALITYor rather the lack of it!
Wow! Really good stuff, and to have received 3 merits in your first one week of being here is really something. Keep up the good work.
On one of my first ever posts I had a member (Jetcash) comment asking if i [as a newbie] could give my opinion on the merit system. I'll be honest, i was confused at first and then i read it again twice more-it made sense. Some of the guys who give merit here have been here a looooong time! Surely they don't want any Tom, dick or Muhammad (to be politically correct  Wink ) coming here posting trash and undoing all of the hard work that they have put in to build this place up and make it the absolute treasure trove of information that it is. Simply put- these guys are the owners and we are the visitors! Why should they dish out merit willy-nilly to someone who has brought nothing to the table? Only fair really isn't it?

So now we understand why the merit system is here right?

What can YOU do to gain some Merit for yourself?

1.CONTRIBUTE! Bitcoin and Crypto has to be one of- if not the most- discussed topic(s) on the entire internet. There is such a VAST amount of information out there, that you simply CANNOT FAIL to find something that hasn't been discussed in great depth, or maybe find a different angle to discuss a popular topic?

2.READ. I have no substitute for reading! Read other members posts, understand why they are getting Merit! It comes as no surprise to me that some of the same people get Merit time after time. Its because what they post is thorough, well thought out, colourful and precise. In the short time I have been here i know of AT LEAST 10 people who's posts i actually look for first. As i know they will have something good to say and it will be a good read. I'll not post names incase people think I'm hinting for merit!  Grin I'm not saying to plagiarize these guys, just to understand why its happening thats all.

3.LEARN So you might be new to Crypto, that's cool, we have all been there! Why not harness the power of the forum and research an answer in depth before posting a pi$$ poor reply? If you're genuinely here for the right reasons then educate yourself on the topics before replying and I have no doubt that in time your contribution will be just rewarded!  Wink

4.BE POSITIVE Negativity, begging for merit, and moaning will get you nowhere FAST! The minute you start whining on here, the less likely people will help you. If there's something you don't like or agree with, try and rephrase in a positive manner, if you cant, then just avoid posting your thoughts out loud!  Roll Eyes

5.BE REALISTIC A few of us newbies think you can just roll up post a few replies and get showered with merit, sorry, its not happening guys! Imagine you start a new job, and within a few days you are trying to be CEO of the company? Its not going to happen is it? Merit is awarded on exactly what it is- MERIT! Put in the graft, and you'll get your just rewards!  Wink

Summary

I'm posting this as i know that the above steps will help you on your way, it may seem difficult for some at first but put the work in and the reward will follow.I am not here to brag or gloat I'm a nobody in here compared to most, and at the time of writing this I only have 3 Merit, which is next to nothing- but not too bad for 1 week of posting!  I'm a positive person who will help ANY of you out if i can and i firmly believe my merit will rise the longer I am here-you just have to believe that yours will too and take some action! It matters little if your English isn't great or your grammar is poor, effort and participation is what this place is all about. Effort breeds quality, quality breeds results. Lets keep the crap out of here and we can all make a difference.  Smiley

I will leave you with this- show some of these guys in here respect- they've rubbed proverbial shoulders with the main man himself!

Re: Will Bitcoin continue to fall this year?
by
unorowest
on 26/08/2018, 21:36:28 UTC
Will Bitcoin continue to fall this year?  After the $18,000+ rise, bitcoin has not yet recovered from the great fall. Will it continue to go lower and lower? Or do we have hope that it will hit high this year?
What do you think fellas?
If we were to compare the events this year to that of year 2014, I would say bitcoin prices will continue to rise and fall without any significant increase until 2019.
