Unfortunately, you will have to follow the instructions from Cryptopia and withdraw your UR from their platform by August 24, accordingly to their recent request.  We have tried to negotiate to keep UR on their platform, but their decision to delist is a final one.

For many of those who are waiting for the UR/kUSD program that is planned to be enrolled following the launch of kUSD.
We are working on all it's details and will be sending out an announcement as soon as it's ready.

Our engineer worked to ensure that UR's network is stable, monitored and all its integral parts are working properly, including the web wallet and its block explorer.  We have approached Cryptopia and informed them with all the detailed work we have done.  Unfortunately, for the moment, we still couldn't receive any further feedback from Cryptopia.

1. Our engineers have ensured that everything is up and running correctly network wise, block explorer is also operational and working properly. We've updated Cryptopia about it and waiting upon their response.

2. Yes, like some other UR holders, you could also hold your UR within a command line GUR wallet. You can download the command line client here:

As you might be aware, about a week ago, Cryptopia announced that they won't be keeping UR on their exchange platform after August 24 as due to a different technical concerns.

We do not like the idea of having our UR holders worldwide without any exchange and therefore taking a further action in this regards.

We are currently in a negotiations with Cryptopia to understand what kind of technical concerns needs be taken care of in order for UR to stay on their platform.  We plan to allocate a dedicated engineer ASAP to correct those issues so Cryptopia could keep UR on its exchange platform.

Currently, we are waiting a response from Cryptopia in this regards.

1. What is the currently planned launch date for kUSD? Please follow http://Kowala.tech for more information.
2. When will you be starting to giveaway kUSD to UR holders? We plan to release more information and instructions about it, following the launch of kUSD.
3. Are there any future plans for UR it self? Currently we do not have any plans for UR. However, it could change in the future.
4. Can users still exchange and mine UR? Yes. (No longer possible as of August, 2018)
5. Why there is a delay in the launch of kUSD? Initially we have planned to launch during December 2017, however we have found some important improvements we could implement within the Blockchain it self, those improvements can potentially increase the performance noticeably. To make sure everything is done correctly and enroll a heavy tests on the whole platform prior going live, we had  to take a little bit more time, for the up to date launch date, please check out http://Kowala.tech and follow Kowala's official social media channels.
6. Where can we find the latest information about the UR/kUSD exchange? Exchange of UR is no longer possible as Cryptopia removed UR from its platform as of August, 2018.

As we have said during the latest announcements and it was also mentioned in the webinar, if there will be any decision to revive UR in the future, we will, of course, announce it. Currently, there are no particular plans towards that direction as whole focus goes towards the kUSD development and preparations for its release.

As for your 2nd question, per the announcement, after the official launch, we will begin to buy UR on the Cryptopia exchange. The price we will offer per unit of UR will be the equivalent of $0.0025 kUSD, which is meant to be a premium over today’s UR price of about $0.0018. We will continue buying for 30 days or until we have bought 50,000,000 units of UR, whichever comes first. This remains the situation unless anything changes, should anything change, we will announce it accordingly.

kUSD Introduction – Our Next Generation Currency!

What we used to call UR2 is now officially called kUSD, a new currency that is designed to autonomously hold a stable value at $1 US. Our officially planned launch date is in early November, 2017.

We developed kUSD because we kept hearing from UR users that they needed a stable currency to use for everyday transactions. Besides the stability, kUSD benefits from a couple of other important features and a unique mining technology which we will explain at a later date.

After the official launch, we will begin to buy UR on the Cryptopia exchange. The price we will offer per unit of UR will be the equivalent of $0.0025 kUSD, which is meant to be a premium over today’s UR price of about $0.0018. We will continue buying for 30 days or until we have bought 50,000,000 units of UR, whichever comes first.

Currently we have no plans to continue working on UR because we are 100% dedicated and focused on kUSD development and deployment.

However, there is a possibility that we could revive UR after November and that UR could end up having a value greater than $0.0025 in the future. We feel it is important for us to make you fully aware of this possibility so you can decide if you would like to hold your UR instead of selling it for kUSD.

We are sorry for being slow on responding here lately as most of our focus currently going towards the new features and improvements development, many great things that our members from all over the world would certainly appreciate.

To answer the latest questions here:

1. Yes, certain countries being disabled for a short period of time and cannot sign up for new wallets.  Those countries are listed here:

We are working on a solution that would allow us very soon welcome new sign-ups from those countries. When it is ready, we will announce it.
2. Is the service still available worldwide? Yes, it is, everyone can join it, besides the countries mentioned in point (1) for the time being.
3. Currently, there is no native app for IOS/Android. Only web-app is available this time, so far it works great based on the feedback we have from our worldwide users.  
However, we know many are looking towards a native version of our app, a native app is something that we are still considering for the long-term.
4. Some people mentioned here their concerns towards the fact that we are requesting documents. Many of you who attended our webinars with our CEO Eiland Glover probably heard the detailed explanation towards the reason behind this.  We have tried to make the network fully open for everyone with a complete ease of registration (without any need of any documents) and the results were sadly very unpleasant. Therefore, we have to take this measures in order to protect the UR network and our worldwide members from those who willing to hurt us (fraudulent/fake/abusive users).  We sincerely believe that what we are asking for (verification documents) is nothing compared to the long-term benefit we provide to the world and the amazing opportunity that so members sincerely appreciate.
5. Those who got locked/banned for abuse (multiple wallets, self-referring, fake or stolen IDs), we are sorry, we cannot help you at this time.  It's your call, to be honest in the first place.
