I recently added waves, bnb and tron into my protofilo and this is not enough. I am interested in your suggestions, namely walton, steem and civic. Maybe i will reseach it further.

I also want to find a coin that has a purpose as a payment processor, I see there utrust and monetha, both have a great team, what do you think?

I would suggest you to look at OMG - they are very close to ETH guys and they want to cover all of the asian unbanked population to process their payments. I think this is x100 type of projects.

Thanks guys, mentioned coins are good, some are very solid projects, but one of the criteria I am looking for is a team or a founder who have a good reputation developing projects and risk it if the project fails. So far only Ardor fits since Jelurida, a team behind it have that rep making blockchain solutions before, and they actually have a new working blockchain solution running already. I will look into other mentioned projects in more detail and if they also fit I will add them to OP. Any new suggestions will also be appreciated.

Looking for coins with solid team and MVP

Hello,

I am researching new coins to invest and I am looking for coins with teams who have previous experience in developing successful projects (not necessarily crypto) and have some sort of working product released. Additional plus would be if this project have real world application. Please help me add more coins to my list.

So far I came up with the following list (in no particular order):

BAT - founder previously developed javascript and firefox, they now have brave browser with over 1M downloads and around 150 partnerships
BNB - founder with previous experience in working with crypto exchange, they have working crypto exchange, top in volume as of writing
Walton - real world RFID business
Waves - working decentralized exchange
Tron - Jack Ma's protege is a founder, large user base, messenger
Ripple - real world banking
Steem - co-founded by Dan Larimer, working social network of sorts
Blackmoon - founder with experience in real world finance
Civic - known founder, working identification solution
KICK - founder experienced in crowdfunding, working crowdfunding solution
Ardor - team experienced in blockchain, working platform solution

If you have any suggestions, feel free to add to this list, but please explain shortly, why the coin you are writing about fits here.

Edit:
added Ardor suggested by chaosfourever since it has experienced team and working solution. Im not sure about the other mentioned coins, since they do not seem to have a team who puts something more than hard work and money on the table. The criteria I am looking for is a team who have good reputation and risking it if the project fails.

Guarda wallet for Bitcoin Gold
by

Hey!
Have any of you heard of Guarda wallet (download it at own risk, I haven't used it and not sure it is safe: https://guarda.co/)? It is only wallet mentioned on Bitcoin Gold website btcgpu.org
But apparently it supports only Eth. So I don't really get, how can it support BTG. And seems it has just popped out of nowhere in Sept 2017.
Question is: did any of you used this wallet? Do you think it is safe to use it?

It is only 8 days left and up to this very date I have not heard anyone to name at least one wallet or at least one exchange that will support BTG for sure. All I hear is that I have to have access to my private key. Can you at least name me one wallet, that gives you access to private key. Not to the seed, but to the private key itself, without using third party software to extract it. Please name at least one, if you know of any.

Re: wallets or exchanges supporting Bitcoin Gold?

We will need to wait for the announcements for the bigger exchanges, but I think not many will support bitcoin gold.
I am curious to see which wallets, if any, will support bitcoin gold.

Bitcoin Gold is a scam. Core's way of trying to create more "dividends". Looks like may have been attempted under Blockstream management. The website for bitcoin gold was registered anonymously and the only contributors to the GitHub are Core/Blockstream people.
If I can get coins for free and don't have to pay anything for it, how is it a scam? Or are they planning to dump a pile of premined coins, when BTG hits exchanges? They have different hashing mechanism so there is no hashrate shifting back and forth as was with BCH. I heard there is even replay protection being implemented. The only two ways I see it being a scam are premined coins in creators possession and phishing private keys with shady wallets.

The easiest way is to store bitcoins at the wallets which are able to provide private keys. Just do this and be happy Smiley
Could you please specify. Im using Bitpay right now, and the procedure of extracting private key from it involves third party software. I can extract seed easily though. Will that do? Or there is a better option. Please be specific.

They have partnered with IBM, it took off right after the news. You can try to jump into a moving train, but I think it might be too late, although it is totally up to you to make a decision.

I think we might see close to $100 this year, probably some time after 2x fork (if it will happen or not). I believe $200 is what we will see in 2018.

wallets or exchanges supporting Bitcoin Gold?

Hey!

Do you know of any Bitcoin wallet or an exchange that will for sure support and give its users Bitcoin Gold tokens after the fork? I have heard Binance was planning to support BTG, but I am not sure that they will give you the BTG coins if you store your BTC there. Do any of you have a decent plan on getting Bitcoin Gold after the fork? Could you please share details here?

Re: Will Russia beat every country at creating their first national cryptocurrency?
by

What could happen is CryptoRuble will be used as a step to legalize and regulate cryptocurrencies and exchanges in Russia. Russia has been very progressive in banning foreign websites. Even localbitcoins is banned. So what they can do is ban all the exchanges, that do not use cryptoruble, and Russians will be able to buy crypto legally with cryptoruble only. That explains a 13% tax. This certainly is not how crypto was designed to work - in unregulated, decentralized way. I think that is what China is also preparing now for its citizens. Lets see how will it work out.

I myself started with Bittrex, great user experience and actually most money was made there by me. Binance has great team and great support, fees are low. You can actually withdraw Neo ad Gas out of there for free. Kraken and Polo are more advanced user experience. But to get from fiat to crypto I usually use Localbitcoins platform.

Re: KickIco speculation

Price on Etherdelta is around $0.24 right now. I think that the ICO price was somewhere in the range of $0.10 if you take etherium priced at $300. So it looks like a great start. The marketcap is also pretty low, sitting right below 80 million.

Also do keep in mind that bounty pool tokens are frozen until 26th of November 2017. So no dips due to that.

Only coins sold in closed investment round are tradable now. Expect first dip on October 7, when pre-ICO tokens will be released, and major dip on October 15, when ICO issued tokens will hit exchanges. My guess is the best time to buy will be around mid October.

Kick is one of the most hyped ICO during the token sale but not much has been done after that, anyone waiting for quick flip now in price will be disappointed because of the latest level of uncertainties in the space

That is not what Ive heard. As far as I know they have completed a couple of startup presentation events and have about 800 projects lined up to kick start on their platform.

Re: Blackmoon Crytpo is going to be huge?
by

on 03/10/2017, 21:01:10 UTC
BMC is up 15% just recently. The team has started to buy coins back at $0.8 couple of hours ago. There is 1.4 mil tokens bought back already (which is about 5% of the supply avalable). Coins that were bought back will be frozen for 24 months. Do you guys think that drop in BMC supply will increase its price to go higher than $1?

i also hope blackmoon does well since it's my biggest investment, but it's not correct that bought back tokens will be frozen for 24 months. the 24 months is the period in which they offer to buy the tokens back for 80% of ICO value (given that the funds set aside for that last that long, which is doubtful). the bought back tokens themselves can be sold at their discretion
This is not how I understood it. There is some confusion on BMC Telegram. On Monday guy named 'Daniel | Blackmoon Crypto' claimed 'Tokens become company's property and would be frozen for 'bout 24 months before eventual release' but today another guy named 'David Gonzales | Blackmoon Team' stated it is not correct. I will wait some more time to make a final conclusion about it.

Meanwhile BMC is up 25% and is traded for $0.9 at liqui

Why do think it's low? Low compared to what?
I'm interested myself but have my doubts as it gained significantly but is looking like a pump and dump.
Only on Etherdelta so far - when will it get on to large exchanges??
It is on Binance for couple of days already, a top 10 exchange

These are 15 coins that we have all heard of, but which of these is likely to see the best ROI for a 3 year run?

Sure you missed COIN X at $.02  and now its at $X.XX.  BUT it can and should go to $XXX!

Pick a coin, list your reasoning.

OMG - great project, good team, real business backup
WAVES - this project has everything realized that other projects only promising at the time. I really dont get why it is not in top 5 marketcap
IOTA - very innovative, the first coin on DAG, when IoT will be everywhere so will IOTA
