block reward should be increased , or increased gradually back to 2048. And yes I am early adopter, but I don't mine it anymore because I don't see future in this coin.
Increased? Why? Anyway, only few milions of qubits left, increasing of reward now is pretty bad idea. There's different problem with this coin. Difficulty. It's constantly very low. I'm mining this almost all time from release and highest difficulty i ever saw was slightly over 3000. GPU mining was and still is very easy with most of time difficulty around 1000.
why increase? wow, you are right. I also never saw diff over 3500 in the time it was mined hard back in January while it was cpu only, after that gpu, but diff actually was lower. So if this is true, and intentional, someone could have easily raped q2c with gpu, while it was cpu only and diff stayed low as you said. That means qubit was hardly dumped, and we were just fools mining it.grrr
Maybe we should switch to POS?

Guys, I have an idea. What if, make a site with a very popular game "2048"? (http://gabrielecirulli.github.io/2048/) And winning payouts will be in Q2C. I think Qubits best suited for this. Who can make this? It will be a success! Very good promotion.
72.5% hashpower on 1gh.... going on fork soon... Was great run, now its over as miners can't understand to spread their power around pools. We're making money only to one pool and destroying ourselves. Have fun watching it dying.
I would like to switch to maxcoinpool.com, but there is not possible find any block. %(

Hey eduffield (sorry if I'm spelling wrong going off memory). I'm tinkering with your sg miner trying to see if I can contribute to this. I'm away from home and thus toying around on a windows machine. I made a few changes but I can't compile it, I'm getting undefined reference to "sleep" errors. If memory serves me right you can't use sleep() in windows. It happens trying to compile the original files you posted. Have you attempted to build it in windows?
Do you know a workaround for this?
edit: compiling in MinGW, I'm not familiar with any others.
I tried to compile it tonight and got the same error. This helped me:
