Re: The perfect tool for Bitcoin newbies - get them a Deposit Card!

This is a brilliant idea! You can also make stickers out of the qr codes to stick on items in a store and scan at check-out just like the UPC code too. There are many ways to implement this. I really like what you are doing!

Just one question though. How are you able to exchange the BTC for USD so quickly and deposit it to the card holder's bank account? This is something I need to know before deciding to buy one.

Keep up the great work!

Thanks for the link! I didn't know that already existed. Maybe I'll try it out one day.

Re: Using MtGox as a wallet?

I'd say the best bet is to just stick with your own wallet in the Bitcoin client. MTGox has been hacked before. Nothing is 100% safe. And if you have lots of Bitcoins you should have them in a paper wallet too. It's a good backup anyway just in case your hard drive dies.

It's unfortunate that we live in a world where you can't trust anyone anymore. You just have to be cautious. Bitcoin is no different than anything else in the real world.

Re: HOWTO: create a 100% secure wallet

Thank you for the post.  Im hope in the future there will be an easier way to do this.
I dont have any problems following along, but for an average person I can see this would be pretty complex.

Indeed, it's not a problem for me either but for other people it can be pretty complex. Hopefully someone will make a more user-friendly way of securing your wallet that people who are not so tech-minded can do.

Anybody thought about a bitcoin only exchange for game items such as WoW, Runescape, Final Fantasy and other MMORPGs, etc..?

Thanks

You mean a place to trade MMORPG items for Bitcoin?

Yes. That's what I wanted to say. Haha

That's not an exchange. It's more of a MMORPG marketplace. It would be nice to have one of those. Maybe one day.

I'd say, if you have a lot of Bitcoins you should have them in a paper wallet. That's the only really safe way.

I would also like to be whitelisted. I understand why we have to go through these limitations and am trying to tolerate them in the meantime, but I do have some good ideas to contribute to the discussions here.

It's unfortunate that they much take such measures to weed out those who are serious posters from those who are spammers. Just have to tolerate it in the meantime.

Hi! I'm Michael! Bitcoin may just be the innovation the world economy needs. This seems to be a big and healthy forum. I hope to have a good experience here.
