I think that it is great news that amazon got into crypto. Maybe because of this part of the article that the patent got approved.

Re: CRYPTO AND FIAT MONEY BEST COMBINATION
by
username134
on 20/05/2018, 05:25:01 UTC
The form of money evolves, there was a time when people use barter trade instead of paying in the form of money, then after some time coins replaced the barter system and as time passed those coins became heavy for those who gained more and so they introduced paper money but still coins are still used and up until now paper money and coins are still used even though new payment methods were introduced like payment through credit card, debit card and now the cryptocurrency. Even now there are still those who prefer to use paper money and coins instead of credit card or debit card, what more if it is cryptocurrency? So it really is hard to replace fiat currency because people got used to it thus making cryptocurrency just an option of payment and not a currency itself but if just everybody would accept cryptocurrency as a currency then it may replace the fiat money that we are using right now.

Re: Bitcoin loses 10% of its value after being called "rat poison" by Warren Buffett
by

What he said is just his opinion, an opinion from one person who may be successful and influential but still one person who may commit mistakes and do wrong judgements. From the title of the article "Warren Buffett says bitcoin is 'rat poison'", well rat poison could only kill rats but it could also harm humans if ingested accidentally. How Bitcoin can be viewed depends from each person, for me Bitcoin is a new technology and an evolution of the money system but of course everyone will accept it as some people aren't willing to accept changes and just cling to what they are used to.

Thank you for the warning and for informing us because I haven't received that e-mail yet. I am just wondering how did they got your e-mail address and how did they know that you are using binance?

There was a thread created yesterday: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3957525.msg37714723#msg37714723
Could you please add a screenshot of the email so we can see the send address, I would like to see if they're spoofing the domain.
As per the above thread, their domain is: support@binancesupport.co
And the screenshot:

Thank you for the screenshot, I would have replied that it would be better if he could provide a screenshot but I saw your post when i scrolled down.

Re: Today is 10,000 Bitcoin paying day for Pizza
by
username134
on 20/05/2018, 01:13:15 UTC
Do you mean,10,000 Bitcoin for 1 pizza? At that time the price of bitcoin is low, this may be the reason for huge amount of bitcoin for single pizza. If he had get more order, surely he will get huge amount of bitcoin. If they don't lose that Bitcoin, surely that person will be the top ten richest person in this world. Grin
I do not know that the pizza's were sold by 10 thousand Bitcoin. However, he had more than $81 million in today's market value.

The pizza wasn't actually sold to him, what I meant is that he didn't paid the bitcoins directly to the pizza chain/restaurant and the pizzas will be delivered to him, what actually happened was he posted an offer here in bitcointalk forum that he would pay 10,000 BTC to whoever makes or orders 2 pizza for him. He posted the offer May 18, 2010, 12:35:20 AM and he reported May 22, 2010, 07:17:26 PM that the offer was completed by jercos thus becoming the first ever bitcoin transaction. At that time there wasn't any store that would accept Bitcoin as a payment and it took 4 days for the offer to be completed.

I know this story 1 years ago, hope the person who bought pizza with btc the situation is okay now, this is gonna be a big learning and hopefully we will not regret with what we are doing in this day.Good luck

I think he is okay because he didn't bought those coins but of course he didn't expect that the value of the coin will rise after some months, Actually he is a miner as he posted in his offer post that he can't generate thousands of coins a day anymore. At the time he posted the offer, the price of BTC was less than a cent each and what he wanted at that time is for bitcoin to have a use case in real life and he was successful with it, and created the first ever bitcoin transaction.

Re: The Kardashian Theory
by
username134
on 17/05/2018, 15:54:49 UTC
Are Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash two sides of the same coin? Some folks have accused the two cryptos of being part of the same incestuous family of elites - supporting different narratives for the purpose of a common or single goal.

Is it possible that BTC is Kim and BCH is Khloe, both working to steer the sheep to use a new shiny cryptocurrency (that they ultimately control)?

If that is the case... what Kardashian would Roger Ver be?

I don't know anything about Kardashian but I know Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash. Bitcoin Cash is a fork of Bitcoin, which means that they share the same blockchain before block #478559 which happened August 1, 2017. At that time Bitcoin Cash proposed to increase the block size limit in order to solve the scalability issue and Bitcoin proposed SegWit (Segregated Witnesses). Of course not everyone agreed on the same thing, some believed in increasing the block size limit and some believed in SegWit and thus creating a fork and splitting the network in two which is Bitcoin(which retained its original name) and Bitcoin Cash(which used another name to differentiate it from the original Bitcoin).

Re: Is Bitcoin a Scam - No more
by
username134

First of all the forbes link that you mentioned isn't about bitcoin at all but atleast it deals with cryptocurrency. Now, regarding the topic that "The narrative has changed. It used to be “Is Bitcoin a scam?” now it’s “ how high do you think the price will go”.", it is true that many had changed their opinion about bitcoin and changed their side but still a lot of people still think that bitcoin is a scam. For me I don't believe that bitcoin is a scam because it is about innovation and the possible change it might bring if everyone will willingly accept bitcoin as a currency. And as for "Matthew Goetz from 'Block Tower Capital' stated in front of a capacity crowd at Consensus; "Bitcoin to 60k in 2018"." He made a very bold prediction about the price of bitcoin, I think that he truly believe about bitcoin or he just wanted to hype bitcoin more. I woudn't say that it is impossible for bitcoin to be priced 60k in 2018 as bitcoin has already proved many people's prediction wrong that it woudn't reach some "X" price but I would say that it will be very difficult for bitcoin to reach 60k this 2018.

Hello, I just wanted to clarify the red texts, the first line is understandable that we shouldn't post our wallet address but the second line says "Type:", so do we need to type the details under it in order to join or are you just warning us that we shouldn't type any of those because it will be considered as spam and that is why they are on red text?

With me being part of the Sparta token holders what are some of the benefits for me.

When Sparta moons, you'll go to moon aswell

But isn't that the same for every project that if the project moons the holders will also go to moon? Then the next question will be when will Sparta moon? I would like to know what are the other benefits as a Sparta token holder except for "When Sparta moons, you'll go to moon aswell"

Do you intend to support only 300 startups?
"Only 300 startups?" I think 300 starups is a full ecosystem for us, which can raise the wave of revolution around the world.

So what happens if all 300 startups had been filled but there are still other promising startups that wanted to use Sparta?

Every startup from your 300-team will receive 1M SPARTA tokens to start their project. What they can have from you? Advisors? Developers?
And What you will have from them? You give them 1M SPARTA tokens, what do you want? Share? profit?
each startup get 1 million token, it can be used for services like development & marketing
I don't think MrSpasybo's question was answered fully. One question was omitted and that was, "what does the Sparta ecosystem want or get in return after giving the startup 1M SPARTA tokens?

the startups usually give equity for incubators

As the first question had been addressed that startups will be helped in the development & marketing and as for the question "what does the Sparta ecosystem want or get in return after giving the startup 1M SPARTA tokens?" The 1M Sparta token is given for free and in return the startup must use or integrate Sparta Token in their project.

From what you have said I am convinced that this coin has a potential. I will look at the website and read more about this coin.

Is there a reason why the total supply is 476 918? and not exact like some other cryptocurrencies like BTC has 21,000,000, LTC has 84,000,000, EOS has 900,000,000, NEO has 100,000,000, TRX has 100,000,000,000.
