Re: Best Alt coin to invest in 2014
by

We haven't seen the best altcoin yet!

Here is a typical moot point - if there is ''the best altcoin'' or not. I think in this case vtbean79, who has begin this thread, was wondering about the existing coin and didn't think about ideal altcoins.  Following this logic, one of the altcoins is the best. The question is what coin is the best?  Smiley

Re: What is the best POD evaluted coin? | Vote for the best coin with POD

I haven't heard about POD coin before. What's the main difference between POD coins and other altcoins?
Do other coins have their platforms, don't they? and do they have exchanges? Of cause, non-POD coin has the same things. When , what's the difference? the advantage of POD coins?

POD is just an approval system... Devs of coins contact Cryptoasian to prove their legitimacy. The devs go through a process to prove their coins are not scams. The coins listed have gone through the process.

heres the FAQ...its a full explanation

http://cryptoasian.com/proof-of-developer-faq/

Thanks a lot for describing me the this process which called POD. It's good that with the help of the POD I can get extra info about devs

Why's almost every one write the list of the coins but without evidence? I would be more interested to know the reasons that influenced on your decision to choose one or other coin like algorithm/the mission of the coin/developers/ other features

Re: is these coins are ponzi or else realmoney?

The price of cryptocurrencies is determined by supply and demand, just like other commodities. Many alt coins are indeed scams or ponzis. Bitcoin has been demonstrated not to be a ponzi scheme in the classical sense, although it is certainly possible that they end up worthless in the long term anyway.

I have the same feeling that Bitcoin in some days will cost nothing at all. BTC does not secured and as an every financial instrument  in the wrong hands it may burst. For example, the scheme of mortgage securitization was great but in the hands of greedy bankers it resulted in a crisis

Make a list of altcoins that have active supporters , there delete the names of the ones that have been posted by shills and bag holders in this thread , do some research about the ones that are left and then

BUY BITCOINS

I think you would waste a lot of time by determining shill accounts from normal ones. Quite agree with spending time on researching in the threads that you find interesting. I think there are different points of view which coin are interesting and which are not: for some people, coin is interesting only if it has a high volume and no matter the mission of the coin, for others - it's mush more important to know the future vision of the developers about their coin and crypto currency developments in general

Perhaps there is nothing serious to say about the Altcoin world?

I doubt it. It's just that the trolls, shills and FUD'ers knock down all the serious threads to the bottom of Alternate Cryptocurrencies. Anyway, time to bump this thread again. I'll keep it going with another post every once in a while.

What make you think so? I doubt that you thread is serious as you think so. I was thinking there going to be people to discuss FUDers and puppy accounts here, and, maybe, scam account  (which would be very useful because there are a lot of scammers here on the forum) !

But I don't see any serious discussion here.

30% Bitcoin
30% BitSharesX
20% BitShares PTS (give you shares on coming BitShares DAC's like BitShares Music)
20% Nxt (not sure, but can grow)

Rare that you find someone post useful advice in this section!  The above portfolio is quite solid.  BitShares is difficult for people to understand so here are some links to get people thinking about its future.

With all the above were just scratching the surface of possibilities.

Thanks a lot. You are that rare user who gave a really good advice with no promotion of the coin you've invested in

topic should be renamed as: make free marketing about the coin you are envolved/holding.

I don't think we have good pumps around, even for BTC and LTC.

Maybe stellar, it sounds like a nice pump and dump.

Or just a dump, who knows.

Lol
I agree that all these threads "what coin to invest in?'' has been trolled by holders the coins they suggest.
IMO it's better not to ask people on the thread but read diff coins threads there investors leave their opinion

Why is it so odd that someone would recommend a coin that they hold? And why would you oppose that?

Because it's true. Checked by myself - every time you ask ''what coin to invest in'' people tell you what they want you to invest in.No doubt there are someones who can give you a really good advice but the percent of them is small.

The Chinese buying up Doge yesterday and today. Volume was higher yesterday on BTC38, but still impressive today. http://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/volume/24-hour/

What do you think is it a usual pump or a steady growth?? I am quite impressed by what happened yesterday

Maybe I am kinda suspicious but I don't see any substantial reasons to invest in this coin.

I doubt investing in monero would be profitable now.
Ether seems a little tricky to invest in. Its hard to predict what will happen. With a big investment, I doubt the profits will go that high.

Indeed, this is too risky now to invest in ether even if their vision seems to be good for the world.

While there is at least one altcoin there would always be a theme to talk about.
And the most hot topic is Dogecooin because it's on the move this week as we have seen a huge increase in price just 24 hours (from 27satoshis to 34satoshis)

Bitcoin
Namecoin
Peercoin
Litecoin
Vertcoin

Except LTC as it's dead! Here is an interesting article about LTC - http://www.coindesk.com/litecoin-price-decouples-bitcoin-slump-continues/

Nice little article! Now, I'm pretty sure I was right to sell my LTC and invest in other altcoins

Bitcoin will always be the POW king, but I can foresee some good competition from a POS or other type of staking method that is more energy efficient.

I agree with you. Nowadays Bitcoin is an undisputed leader though it's a lit bit late to start mining , better to buy some coins and get profit from buying/selling strategy. Even it's volatile it's less volatile than altcoins because of their little credibility, altcoins, I think, is going to replace Bitcoin. And it won't be Litecoin to replace BTC as it's dead.

if you don\t know what religion to choose you can do this test

the test says that I am catholic!

lol... now my confusion is over:

I have a girlfriend cell plan with my gf. Benefits r good Although I think its a mistake to have signed up for it

Plan with only one bonus number is kinda suxx to my opinion. It's more costly and gives almost nothing in return.

Our dna sequencer routinely takes multiple 1/2 gig tiffs pictures of illuminated base-pairs every hour Wink

For how long has this been taking pictures? Could imagine you got Petabyte servers?

Challenge accepted: I'm 25 and roughly 3 months = 365*25+90 = 9215 days * 24 h = 221160 h * 500mb (assuming it takes only 1 picture, I know it's not) = 110580000 MB / 1000 = 110580GB / 1000 = 110,58 PB

How we gonna feed our people? By importing or by growing it on farms on the Island?

Growing seems the better way. Only natural products only hardcore
