Re: [ANN] HaoBTC, mining dividend paid out hourly

So many things happened with HaoBTC/Bixin since the last post was written here.

Yeah, I just checked out the website for first time in quite a while (I moved my coins out of their wallet when the interest payouts dried up) and now their focus seems to be on pushing their mobile app.

They've rebranded under the name Bixin (www.bixin.com)

They're a wallet / mining company now - supposedly their wallet app is supposed to be quite good

I'm not sure if this is still their most recent thread though...

Question: Does anyone know if they're still providing interest on wallet balances?

Yes, they still pay out interest at the beginning of each month, although the % has decreased steadily. It's not much, but I like to think of it as a small sum to offset the transaction costs when I spend my coins.
Only reason I joined haoBTC/Bixin is because of the interest - that and the very good forum thread on Eric's 6 month stay at the mine.

If interest is removed altogether then I'd probably move my wallet balance back out to the external bitcoin client. But I've been with haoBTC/Bixin for more than a year now, so far, so good!

Ah, ok, was wondering why I wasn't seeing any interest accumulate.

You should see it in your historical transactions each day. And it also shows the total earned per month (or used to) so that you know what you'll be receiving. Haven't used them in a while because the low interest makes it too high risk for me, but I will say that I had zero issues when I did use them.

Hmmm...definitely not seeing it in my transactions

Nowadays the interest is only visible at the end of the month and only calculated for the coins that have been in the account for at least 30 days.

I wanted to take a few minutes out of my day to chime in regarding HAOBTC support.  I was missing a deposit (less than one BTC) last night and Eric replied within six hours and the problem was rectified. Not bad, in my opinion, for such a small amount of coin held in a "foreign" account.

I'm going to move some of my balance to the finance option within the month, as I feel that HAO will continue to see growth and provide quick support.

I'll do the same & say that several weeks ago I had a similar problem. Eric promptly replied & made sure the problem was fixed by the tech support/dev team. Good customer service.

Re: Miners should donate to Nodes
by

As a incentive to run a full node.

Full nodes secure the network too, why is there no incentive on the protocol level like the mining process?

Yes I agree, running a full node can be inconvenient for home PC users, at which point an incentive would encourage the user to continue.

Maybe Satoshi thought about it, but couldn't find reasonable way to add it to the protocol.

Satoshi imagined that mining would become specialized, but even he couldn't have predicted how mining would become such a big industry, totally separated from running nodes!

Just enrolled, I hope that in the activities we are not required to download the core, my laptop has not enough free HD.

Yeah, for passing grade you have to download entire blockchain & then send 1 BTC to professor...  LOL  Wink

This course should be compulsory for every newbie who joins this forum - it would decrease the vast amounts of stupid posts on these boards!

Even older users could benefit from this course, it looks like an interesting learning opportunity.

The bank page no longer displays active interest rate on "wallet" page.  Will this be fixed?
It will float, I believe.

Lost in Translation: I think zenrith means fixed as in repaired, not fixed as in stationary. Regardless if the interest rate is fixed or floating, it needs to be displayed.

Other issues:
-The list of Transaction Records is blank, so I cannot see at a glance if my BTC transactions are going through.
-Yesterday revenue is displayed as 0 BTC, so it looks as if I'm not receiving interest.

I think HaoBTC should have done more beta testing on new website before launching it, too many crucial components missing at the moment :-(

A once and for all solution would be to set your fee rate dynamically using "estimatefee" command.

We do use the estimatefee. However we use confirm target of 20 blocks and it doesn't always work correctly with such a high target. I see that today's transactions are getting confirmed correctly though.

Here's a payout transaction from FaucetBox that didn't get confirmed by Blockchain.info
(error: Transaction rejected by our node. Reason: The Maximum number of outputs in a single transaction is 200)

I did a small test: placed a small amount of BTC in haoBTC bank, let it accumulate interest for 24 hours, & then sent it back to my Core wallet, all without any major problems. (website was a little slow yesterday, but seems OK now)

Please also PM me the alternate URL.

Unless having a Solar farm high in the Siberian mountains for mining. Then after initial investment free coins Cheesy

But what kind of network connection do you think you could get in a location like that? Satellite bandwidth surely ain't cheap.

Nxt and Mastercoin were 1 man shows.

The reason I have faith is for many reasons, probably the #1 being professionalism.

Again, you can simply buy Emu once its launched. There have been delays, yes. But a DEX has never been created. So you are talking about a new technological breakthrough invention.

OB1 beta client looks good, but without DEX.
Well I guess we have to be like a religion and have FAITH that he can deliver, because without the exchange it's just one big 100% pre-mine.

I'm sorry but I have been beta tester of Emunie before Eid came along. I saw almost every interaction this kid had in the troll box while he was a part of the project.

>>>>>>>>>SNIP>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

And, by the way guys and girls, you can get answer to all your questions over at forum.emunie.com. Do a little research and reading for yourself. Asking 18 year olds to answer your business and technical questions is ridiculous.
In a debate, we should focus on the words rather than the people. You could argue which part of his arguments are not right and give solid evidences, and in my opinion that's way more effective than attacking people's age.

For example, could you confirm whether the DEX function has been implemented? If not, what was the timeline and whether the EMU trade-able before DEX is implemented? Could you help to clarify why Dan refuse to open source at least a little bit of his code?

We, as potential investor, care more about the facts rather than people's age.

+1

Stick to the important topics, this mudslinging gets us no-where. Answer the questions asked, or just come out & say "we don't know" or "we're not gonna tell you".

The open beta is now running & looks pretty good, but the DEX function is the backbone of eMunie supply regulation system.

Yeah, I've been wondering this myself - how exactly did Peachy rocket to the top? I thought it was first come, first serve?

How do you come to that idea?

Just a word of warning, this is made by the same makers as Visacoin. How do i know that? Well just go to the visacoin thread and compare them. They are both using the same tactic to extort BTC from investors.

If you have a small of BTC, I would be very cautious in investing in these types of scenarios.

If you want to invest in a 2nd generation coin, i suggest looking at eMunie, it's very transparent and the developers identity is not a mystery. http://forum.emunie.com/

eMunie could be the real deal, but like Morpheus said: No-one can tell you what it is, you have to see it for yourself

Try eMunie instead, that's gonna be a fair go - 30 day launch period starting sometime in jan 2014, so everyone will get a chance to get in.

oh, and another thing, be careful on btc-e, its controlled by big holders and the prices are usually fixed by their bots, trade with extreme caution and don't be tempted to sell/buy when some price change is happening.
(Its really easy to see how the bots work there.. ever tried selling at the top of the orderlist? a bot will automatically outbid your order making you to change or consider(psychological affect) changing your order to sell lower (or buy higher when you are buying) those outbids will automatically appear the second you hit the button with an amount looking like this - 216.98147513)

Thanks for the info, interesting. I've been trading a bit on btc-e, made a some good trades, but a few bad ones too. Trying to playing the market is stressful!
