Estimated Position in Payout Queue
333.26938784 BTC are ahead in queue, putting this user's payout after a 13 block delay.

what happened with the payouts? 13 blocks are too much.

Re: feasibility of a low price fpga solution

sorry, i wasn't talking about design feasibility, rather the market feasibility... what any designer would need to know is the worth of his effort... if i develop a system and people still prefer GPU's over fpga rigs, then why would i want to waste my time?... in short if i could such a system in the market, how many people would want to buy it?

well. now you only can bitcoin mining with gpu coz is the only comercial option. im bet if someone invest in stand alone or especialized external units with good specs you can earn a lot in the short place. considering the dificulty jumps and energy cost any miner with a calc find these especs very interesting. even if you cuad these energy consumption rate.

I just did some calculations, and ASICs might actually be affordable.

Assuming one can sell 500 of them, building a "bitcoin accelerator card" which yields 5 gigahashes might be possible for less than $1000. If one wants to build one big (copacobana/deepcrack-like) mining rig instead of selling cards, one could possibly reach 5 terahashes (and thus attack the network) with less than a million dollars, probably more like half a million. (This beast would contain 2000 chips.)

well im in. i buy three of these 500 Asic,s rigs if someone made them and im sure im not the only one in the waiting list

future of bitcoin mining ( ASIC or GPU)
by
valtiel
on 20/06/2011, 22:35:24 UTC
im reading some post around predicting gpu mining is almost die and the future is ASIC (Application-specific integrated circuit) im not sure if thats ok or is only one of these (run when you can) posts but im curious. what that mean for average joe? is real? gpu mining is dead? and if that true now mining is only reserve to people with big budgets rich enough or smart guys who know how create these things.? is factible find a way to jump from gpu to ASIC in a painless way. is cheap or really expensive? maybe some of te moste xperimented miners or system designers can answer my questions

liquid cooling question
by
valtiel
on 20/06/2011, 22:29:01 UTC
im wondering. why most miners dont use that sort of cooling systems. as i know liquid cooling is far more efficient than fan or heat sink cooling systems. its not better use these systems to maintain optimal temperatures and higers overclockings? and. someone haven tried these mineral oil submerged mods?  http://www.instructables.com/id/Mineral-Oil-Submerged-PC/  im curious to know others miners answers. im still being newbie in mining but i want elarn as fast possible.

And you can cut plastic on pci-e 1x on mobo and plug in card there

well. i think im stick with the adapter idea more than cut things out my MoBo.
thanks now i have a better idea about what i can do.

well. im quite new in the mining thing and im still having silly question like this one.
you have botleneck problems if you run one of your gpu in a x16 slot and another in a x8 pci express slot?
PD: sorry for my bad english.
