big players "washing" their BTC?
That's what I thought few hours ago at the drop. It could well be that some of this unexpected swings up and down are the slow entries and exits of washed BTC and we will have to be used to them for a long time.
As much as I prefer monero to btc there is no such thing as tainted btc. People will still give you the same amount of money for it. If there was really tainted bitcoin you could just send some to those whale wallets with 1k+ bitcoin and now all those bitcoin are tainted? Give me a break lol
Sorry but this is not how it works. If a whale address receives a tainted UTXO, is that UTXO and not the others that is tainted. But good luck selling it without any hidrance.I struggle myself to understand what Atomic Swaps effect will have in short/mid term. I guess it will give more utility to Monero so it will reflect positively.
But what about adoption? Who wants to receive BTC in a totally KYC/AML free DEX, possibly tainted, without a big discount in price?

As time passes by, I am more convinced this market won't appreciate the true value of Monero until something really *bad* happens in Bitcoin with regards on privacy, chain analysis, etc. This will happen indeed, question is if it will be too late for Monero to get the deserved attention.

Uf, also BisQ had 2 million volume today. That is huge compared that a year ago was success to have few 10k. With this pace there will be soon most of Monero volume on BisQ.
I wonder if price action in Bisq gets reflected in a substantial way in CMC...Lol. Cos he's too far out... Amir Taaki could be more likely to be Monero's founder, thankful_for_today. IMHO.
Big respect to Amir, but I don't think he's the man behind Monero. Even the Dark Wallet was abandoned and incomplete back then, let alone something like the Cyptonote wallpaper.Monero Ledger wallet integration is legit the longest winded most anticipated integration yet.

It should be noted that the idea with ring size 5 is not plausible deniability on any particular transaction but that when coupled with confidential transactions and stealth addresses the cumulative result is an entire network that is entirely private. Of course more is always better.
fireice-uk is not, how shall we say, very well regarded amongst many of the developers, afaik. I'd be surprised if anything came of this claim.
