Bitcoin network attack?
by
veganBBQsauce
on 19/09/2017, 09:22:03 UTC
What do you guys think about the recent and sudden rise in transactions on the bitcoin network? Seems to have slowed things down quite a bit. There's talk of segwit2x camp launching the attack to slow bitcoin down, or potentially it's a play made in bitcoin's best interests to keep miners from switching to BCH all at once.

Well what do you guys think?

Heck no I don't agree.  BTC has already slowed its growth in the past week or so.  I think it will level off short of $5,000.00, decline sharply and stay around $4,000 until the end of the year.  No huge drops, no huge gains.   It will be higher in 2019 than it is today though.  Probably around $13,000.00.
That is not how bitcoin works suhn  Grin

2017 has been a Stellar year in terms of growth and acceptance of crypto and bitcoin. I mean, it's now considered legal tender in Japan? Seriously?? How crazy was that idea just last year!

So my opinion on the future price of bitcoin is extremely bullish, I think $20k by Q2 2018 is very likely. We always underestimate how much something can grow and continue growing, like the stock market now instead of correcting itself is just going up and up. Pain will ensue but as much as some people would like to have you think it's coming soon, there's still plenty of room for growth in the meantime. Shorts are gonna get rekt until the real crises comes.

Re: US to remove taxes on bitcoin! more bitcoin=currency stuff

Even if it seems to not matter at the moment, seeing as no one pays their taxes anyway, this kind of evolution towards a more reasonable tax policy is much needed. Bitcoin and crypto can't be treated as something they're not, and so more laws that are unique and tailored is exactly what we need.

Re: The future of ICOs
by

When it comes down to it, ICO's profit from the gullibility and ignorance of people. Flippers wouldn't exist if it weren't for greedy, easily convinced mom and pops investors. It doesn't matter how exclusive you make an ICO, demand will decrease to reasonable levels sooner or later, whether ultimately it is imposed by regulators or not.

Its annoying how people "invest" in an ICO and then urge everyone to buy when it hits the market. The exact same mentality I see from people who put their money in HYIPs. The market doesn't owe you anything!

Re: So when DeepOnion started for public it was $4, every investor lost 75%.

Yeah it looks like when people put DeepOnion in their sig, it turns off their brain somehow. Maybe we should call Musk to tell him AI has already taken over and its not that smart. Its funny nobody of the SigSpammers even noticed TorCoin was the exact same scam and none of them has even replied to it. Guess they are afraid of losing their $0.01 scam coin drops but rather attempt by their posts to defraud real investors out of real money, for which every DeepOnion scammer should get jailtime. I know karma will hit them.

Its one thing if you advertise/help promote a promising new coin. But its a completely different story if you actively are involved in an investment fraud. Most DeepOnion posters are probably underage but this does not save them from prosecution or getting sued for the damage they are causing.
Sounds like you either got scammed by Torcoin (which isn't related at all), or you're trolling hard to get some cheap Onions. The whole thing is about as far from a scam as you can get. I support non-ICO projects and non-stake airdrops. It puts the money in the hands of the people instead of the whales. Why not attack some real scams, instead? There's plenty of them. And they're getting more and more convincing.

I see September and October as good months for crypto, I think growth will slow down but still continue. November is still uncertain and could kick in some bear market. Everything could change for the bitcoin.

Re: Have you dumped your BCC yet?

I sold before the split, but not on ViaBTC. I sent my bitcoin to OKEX and bought BCS (bitcoin segwit) with it, which was trading at a discount due to what BCH was being priced in for.

Re: Altcoin trading with low budget
by

I started low budget also. Start doing some research on some of the smaller market cap coins. Find one you believe in than purchase and hold. The ways things are going You'll probably double or triple real fast and can branch out from there. Also don't disregard the top coins, they are still doubling all the time.
I think this is good advice, if your risk tolerance is up for it. And like others have said, after you have bought just hold the coins and don't panic or try exit without profit. Look for something that isn't hyped right now but might get hyped in the future. Be part of the coin's community to make sure it's not a scam. This is crypto everything gets hyped at some point.

Otherwise just put your money in the big boys and don't sell for years. Most of the coins people are recommending here I wouldn't buy myself, except for NEO. For long-term.

Re: Where do you get your ideas for investments?
by
veganBBQsauce
on 02/09/2017, 09:10:46 UTC
I feel that putting your money on other people's ideas defeats the purpose of investing and it's a good way to lose. Plus, you don't take accountability and responsibility for your investment so that if it fails, you blame something other than yourself (your own lack of research)

I do pay attention to what certain people think and try to curate that list of people so that I'm not listening to hogwash. But I give weight to my own due diligence above anyone else's!

[GET] Residential IP Proxies (SOCKS5)
by
veganBBQsauce
on 28/02/2017, 17:31:05 UTC
Hey guys,

I am offering clean SOCKS5 proxies with residential IP addresses. This will allow you to bypass websites/services/CPA offers/reward sites which don't allow normal datacenter IPs (Craigslist, anyone?). This is not a rotating service where you pay $2000/month just to have a few residential proxies on hand. You can buy each proxy separately and it's yours to use for up to 24 hours.

You will appear as a real person using an established ISP such as Verizon Wireless, Comcast cable, etc. Most (ALL) existing proxy services will offer you datacenter proxies which causes the site you're using it on to flag you as a potential spammer or troublemaker. You can read about the difference between these two kinds of proxies here: https://multiloginapp.com/datacenter-vs-residential-ip-proxies/

Current prices are extremely cheap:

->$3 for 1 shared residential SOCKS5 proxy (other people may use it)
->$5 for 1 private residential SOCKS5 proxy (only you are using it)

I accept Bitcoin ONLY @ Bitstamp market price. No exceptions! BTCBTCBTC

Prices include (reasonable) customer support. Proxies will be available for use for up to 24 hours, but that is not guaranteed.

Replacement Policy
I will replace your proxy with a new one if:
*The proxy had died within 2 hours of purchase

One replacement per purchase allowed. I will not give multiple replacements.

I cannot replace if:
*I detect that you had been using the proxy consistently before it died
*You use software which doesn't support SOCKS5
*You attempt to claim the proxy wasn't working when it was

All proxies are checked before shipping. I will confirm that you are online via marketplace PM or Skype, before delivering your proxy. If you are interested I will also give you an IP score website (to see it's residential) and a free browser spoofing tool on your first purchase.
