Re: Looking for some new good TV series
by

Helix is relatively recent. Science fiction based on an remote arctic research facility, about an out of control virus that are like zombies and a bit like necromorphs from dead space. It can be a bit soap opera-like between the main characters though. Still, I suggest it.

House of Lies is also good, been around for a couple seasons. Comedy-drama about management consultants, focusing on their deals and drama. Most of the characters have a lot of personal issues, which adds to the story.

You really should give what you can a try. At worst, you'll find out what you don't like, and at best you'll expand your TV interests and get hooked on some new stuff.

Well, the comic suits their style of humor and presentation, so it's nothing to be too surprised by. They didn't slam it. If anything, it seemed an affectionate explanation. I'd really rather the existence of bitcoin mentioned and spread rather than not, and so this comic would fall under that.  Grin

Can it be that finally the negative influence MT gox has over BTC's price has ended with this last, large hit? Seems too good to be true.

I'm confident the price will recover anyway.

The CEO of paypal has claimed to be a supporter of bitcoin and yet paypal is so adamantly against bitcoin...? Both odd and disappointing.  Undecided

Same.

You might've gotten more feedback OP if the title was more accurate about what you wanted though.

Devcoin. Seems to be slowly rising in price. Been around for years.

Dogecoin is also a good choice because of its meme based community.

Yeah, your miner can solve it, but to you it'll be little different unless your pool gives a reward for solving a block.

Re: Why have a pool with no fees? I don't get it
by
vehementchrome
on 19/02/2014, 04:32:15 UTC
There's numerous possible reasons why a pool would have zero fees. Like the pool could be trying to build a user base, so that more miners join their pool, while the pool has the intention of adding a 1% fee in the future. Some pools have a 0% fee, while also offering the ability to donate a small percentage of your mined coins to the pool to help it operate. The pool might also collect the extra coins from blocks that payout higher than the norm, from the transaction fees I think.

Most of all, its probably to bolster the hash power of the pool (by attracting more miners, as the zero fee helps to distinguish the pool); and if not then, then maybe pride and benevolence.

Re: Makes any sense to buy now?

I bought today and plan on holding for a pretty long time. I'm very bullish long run on btc. I've been around long enough to know bitcoin has gone through way too much shit and rebounded from all of it for it NOT to be taken seriously.

If you are in it for the long haul, you almost certainly bought in cheaply today Smiley
In consideration for long term, I would say that buying into btc now is cheap. So, I agree with you. But as to whether or not the price is going to dip further within the week, its possible it might.

Its hard to say, but I think it depends whether or not whales go for a big push.  If they decide to push it, I think we could see 4k+ if they dont do it, then I think 1500$. It's all speculation though.
Yeah, I agree with you. Just about anyway. I think it's more likely it'll be around 1,500 though.

by
vehementchrome

Two hundred is so far away now(...unless you start thinking about gox btc.)

I think it might be more of a question as to WHEN bitcoin will hit five thousand, presuming bitcoin doesn't utterly collapse in the vague future.
