I just aware if you said about sonic. I have a question about can I still use zero coin right now? or is it already disabled? I'm wanna sending my veil and I'm feeling worry about that because I have been always using zero coin to send veil. I hope you can consider to create a new desktop wallet that doesn't forced us to update the wallet to be fully synched with the network.
Thank you for your feedback asriloni. Yes, you can still use zerocoin to transact, but be aware of this change (from
v1.0.4.4 release notes) as we move to transition to RingCT-only staking, and then to Sonic:
Light Zerocoin
Zerocoin will now have its reliance on zero knowledge proofs completely disabled. A zerocoin will now behave much more like a normal UTXO based transaction does. This results in a large reduction in transaction size, much quicker transaction validation, and fast transaction creation.I'm stuck on block 450159
will try downloading the latest snapshot to get back on the righttrack
this is usually the best way to go or there are simpler and faster fixes?
still no plans for a lighter wallet, right?
Hey Lucas. You can try these steps if you get stuck on a block:
1. Go to Settings > Advanced options > Console > and type in command
getbestblockhash2. Copy the result that the wallet gives you.
3. Paste that result into this command:
reconsiderblock PASTERESULTHERENo ETA yet as to light and mobile wallets, but these are planned for development. We'll be happy to share the updates on it as the information becomes available.
