Is there an ELI5 for Ark? I'm having trouble breaking down why I should be optimistic for the future of this. Want to learn more. 
It's not that simple. If you want to learn about ARK and profit from investing in it, go back to the OP and read. Go to their website and read. Some things can't be explained in 10 words or less...
In just a few words... look at the ICO value vs today's value. The reason is simple. The ARK team has been delivering on promises and continues to do it.

They are not in the same plane... they are out of this world!

It should be on multiple exchanges at launch. Launch is planned around the end of April or beginning of May. We should get the launch date at some point soon so stay tuned.

I agree it is a downside however I'm not sure it is a real concerns. There are many workarounds to this issue and most javascript developpers that need big numbers know how to deal with it.
