Please make your final votes on the algorithm changes.

The options have been narrowed down based on the previous votes. Because of points brought up by atheistftwins, we feel it is not productive to try to implement a hybrid model. Therefore, the choices will be split between X11 and pure POS. Additionally, the the community should vote on whether to decrease supply of the coin going forward, thus making the current amount of NYAN the bulk of the expected coins. If this is done, then only POS is feasible as POW would not be able to sustain a high enough hash rate.

Poll will close in 48 hours and then implementation will begin.

And how are you going to count the votes?

We can for example create a certain number of payment addresses corresponding to the number of voting options.

And after 48 hours, let implementation will begin, the implementation that will get the largest number of coins.

But after 48 hours, all coins should be returned to the address from which they were transferred.

Of others, but I would such a voting system liked )

And such method of voting imho can be used for voting on any question, perhaps this could be one of the a way of using coins for NYAN lovers

(of course, with some automation and limitations, that we can discuss here, if it would be interesting)

Wait what? Just vote from the poll at the top of this thread. What you just described is a ton of work for just a one time use for voting...

Edit: Also, I think one person should count for one vote. Otherwise, it's too skewed in favor of bagholders and will end up with POS for sure. (I am for POS, but I think we should reach that conclusion fairly as a community with equal voices)...your idea benefits me probably more than anyone else here but I still think it's unfair.

POW ... POS ... KGW ... bebebe

>> is a ton of work for just a one time use for voting...

I am speaking about how to use coins and about way to involve NYAN (not nyancoins) lovers.

POW ... POS ... KGW. who needs a way to implement without the possibility of implementing their coins?

If our developers all programmers, let them create own exchange.
Let's say crossNYANexchange with the possibility of exchange of any coin to any other through cross course NYAN somehow ... for example I have a little EAC-coins, to me they are not interesting now and I would like to exchange them to some other coin (even not for example to NYAN)  - where can I do that now?
Everywhere I only saw the opportunity to do exchange with predetermined cross pairs. Why not make software that would enables to exchange "any to any" having analyzed all the possible chains of exchange, even if not possible to exchange one coins to another in a single step. (Sorry for my english ... was in a hurry)

This (creation of such exchange) could be the programmers-made promotional campaign  Roll Eyes

AuroraCoin has been added to the Exchange

 Huh

Auroracoin is a cryptocurrency for Iceland. It is based on litecoin and is 50% premined. The premined coins will be distributed to the entire population of Iceland, commencing on midnight 25th of March 2014

Any chance you can provide a Windows wallet link that works? mega just keeps giving unknown error....

look pm (link to my own copy)

Thanks, not sure why mega is not working have tried it on multiple machines in different locations on multiple browsers. it says starting for a few mins then temporary error trying again but just hangs. possibly a location thing? if it is affecting others you should provide more sources. don't want a maxcoin situation!

>>> possibly a location thing?

I tested. realy some files (not NYAN) are being downloaded quickly, somehow nyan windows wallet - very slow (about ten minutes for me, but without any errors) ...

>>>if it is affecting others you should provide more sources.

+1 ...

wuhu Cheesy

why the network hashrate is so low? o.O before 3h it was by 700MH/s - and now only 190mh/s

it seems that all multipools just stopped all devices for cooling   )))

And NYAN once again on the top of the list at http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency ...

I just checked the blockchain.

Essentially all the new blocks are almost entirely going to this guy:

KRNboASVYKYMuH1ivzq5aqLWFfTebLwF3K

Is he a huge solo megahasher and the pools are misreporting the actual network hash? I hope so...
That would make sense.

BTW, I saw how your pool was practically taking every other block just before 66600, from looking on its website. That was a big difference.

It's also worth noting though that all of this guy's coins were moved to this account:

KDJ9B3MedQwdkbKUGnhTbBvq27duXBCv9i

Where it has been untouched. I don't think this is behavior multipools would have. But man, this guy would have to have like at least 500mh/s under his control to be able to do what he's doing, pretty crazy.

At least this is the second time "this guy " doing this

first time - within ~ 2014-02-18  - 2014-02-19

in a similar situation with the prancing difficulty ...

For example:

http://nyancha.in/chain/Nyancoin?count=2000&hi=61759

Seems like, he has almost exactly 1.5 Gigs this time. I'm willing to bet a lot that this is rented hash, the number is too even.

Nobody would do this unless they're trying to push to 67000.

My thoughts are still that it's the dev helping us out  Grin

It is already a history, but ...

Last block "this guy" found - exactly 66999

Somehow I'd like to say THANKS (whatever he was planned to do)!

Are you sure about that? Then why is difficulty stuck so high for days at 21 when practically no one is mining?

There are some bugs in implemented diff-calculations. Is it still not clear yet?

Would be great if Dev could chime in on the direction he wants to take the coin and the projects he's currently working on once KGW gets implemented, long periods of silence is not fun...

If all become so impatient, why not just ask dev for a new version of wallet? With "mandatory update at block" ... let's say ... 66700 (if the next diff would be >40, most probably 24-30 hrs need to hit 66700) or 66777 (additional 20 hours)

What does that mean? There is a fork?

This coin died a long time ago, why bother mining ??

Any big project could not become successful until there aren't anyone who promise a quick death to it.

So you are welcome  Cool

The diff is back up to 9. Hopefully it won't overshoot by a ridiculous amount. I'm seeing about 1 minute blocks, but the rolling average is still showing 17 seconds, so we will overshoot and we can't even blame the pools this time (or can we). This is just a marginally stable feedback loop at work.  Angry

The real question is whether we make it to 67000 in a reasonable amount of time...

The real question is how accurately was implemented KGV by dev. I hope without any such "nyanazations" we have seen, looking at results of difficulty recalculations..

It may seems very optimistic, but i think we'll get to block 67000 in less than 10-12 hours without any multipools

Difficulty may be very  low for a many blocks this time ...
