After the events of last week.

I was making this suggestion to some folks yesterday, but they claimed that bitcoin is too small.  Does it matter?

When talking about the strongest currency, you need to pay attention to many things
- Value
- Popularity
- Interaction
- Safe and easy to use

The investment is corresponding to you have to take risks. However, the risk is more or less depending on the experience, business skills of each person, if anyone knows the risk in business then they have become billionaires completely.

Re: Will Bitcoin overcome Paypal?

Do you think that sometime in the future, Bitcoin might overcome Paypal, as it scales in capacity and userbase over the years?

We already have the ability to create our own marketplace with OpenBazaar, that uses Bitcoin as its payment method, so it should be no surprise that the combination of these two may be a fierce competition for both eBay and Paypal.

Nevertheless, feel free to vote on the poll above and express your opinion about it, if desired.  Grin

I think Bitcoin has the potential to overwhelm paypal but there are two things I'm not sure about Bitcoin that are unstable prices and too long transaction time.

Re: big transaction fee in Bitcoin , really down the future of btc ?

Day to day the price of the Bitcoin is increasing but with this a big problem arising that is fee .
Can you think that with the increase of the transaction fee of the Bitcoin will results into less use of the Bitcoin for transaction from one address to another .
And people will move toward the other cryptocurrency .
Or there is chances to improve the block chain network and increase the size of block .

I request to everyone to give you thoughts and views at this big problem of fee .

I think not. Bitcoin is rising so its fees increase is normal. While you make a lot of money from Bitcoin, that fee is not much

Re: Will bitcoin be used to support terrorists?

On March 8th, Cheollima Civil Defense(CCD) released a video on its website claiming:” Han Sol, the son of Kim Jong Nam, and two other family members were met quickly and relocated to safety. “ And they receive bitcoin for financial support. http://news.8btc.com/bitcoin-plays-a-role-in-humanitarian-assistance This is something nice to do. But what if bitcoin be used to support some bad organizations, even terrorists? Is this already happening?  What i am worrying is if bitcoin be widely used for bad things, negative news would be all over and bitcoin price will drop. It will lead to tougher regulation. Do u think world leaders are willing to kill btc to make sure they can fight terrirists?

That is possible . Because Bitcoin is a virtual currency, it is not under the control of the government so black money flows can be circulated everywhere. So perhaps terrorist organizations will use this to provide economic resources for their activities. What's the exact word?

Re: Bitcoin credit card?

I remember hearing something about a bitcoin credit card. Like, one that you pay for everything with fiat on credit, and then you pay off your bill in bitcoin. So you never have to hold fiat if you don't want to.

What's the best/most reliable credit card that does this?

You may have mistakenly assumed that there is no such type of credit card as Bitcoin. If so, it will completely overcome Bitcoin's slow transaction status

Re: Real life usage of bitcoin

Don't you think price blast not correlate with its real life usage since its inception?

Its hoarded for speculative purpose but how many major cities in the world have even its ATM?

I mean we all the time correlate its value with fiat currency then buy/take then what's its purpose in my day to day life?

Who will accept it in store when confirmation time is so long.

I agree with what you say. Maybe too long transaction time is a hindrance. Currently, this is not fixed, so the application of Bitcoin into the actual transaction is impossible, we can only withdraw cash from Bitcoin wallet and transaction

Re: Hotels accepting bitcoin

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/videos/b/4a0b16dd-6783-4dac-9fa0-76e923c9a774

According to this link, a bloomberg news site, it was mentioned that there are two hotels in LAS Vegas that accepts bitcoin as payment for hotels, food and drinks. If you want to visit this place as a tourist or to gamble and you happened to lost your money to gambling you can always use you stored bitcoins to get a room to sleep and relax and enjoy the food and booze.

Fortunately, the hotel accept Bitcoin. As can be seen, they grasp the opportunity of the market while Bitcoin is rising and increasingly popular, investing in it is a wise thing. From there, a new era of money will open up. Think about it, you can go anywhere, buy anything you want without carrying your wallet or cash. You are not afraid of being stolen because it is a false virtual currency. So hotels start accepting Bitcoin as a new step in the trade and tourism.
