So many other cryptos are far ahead of bitcoin in terms of speed and transaction cost.  It's tough to see bitcoin catching up. I still see bitcoin as gold... something people keep cuz its solid and well-known.  Not going to use it to buy a big mac though.

3. Narrative - https://www.narrative.network

4. KYC.legal

What does it mean that users approve ads?  Like literally, how will that work?

When a new ad is added to the network (by an advertiser), it will be listed in a "new ads" area, where community members can review them.  There will be a review period per ad (TBD on exact time frame) whereby users can vote on whether to accept/reject the ad.  At the end of the review period, if the ad scores low (has a high "reject" rate), then it will be pulled and not displayed on the network.

The idea here is that the community can determine what kinds of ads it wants.  This gives users even more autonomy over the network.

Interesting!  I had not heard about that before.

So if someone tries to do ad about cigarettes or something the community could prevent it?  That's different.

Yes, our whole concept is that the Narrators are in charge. Rather than a group of people in a corporate office deciding what's acceptable, it's our community at large that decides. And yes, it's a somewhat radical idea!

Can I own more than one niche?

And can I moderate my own niches?

Yes, you can own as many as you want.

You may not moderate a niche you own, however.

I've already got my list of niches I want to go after.  Glad there is no limit!

i like Blackmooncrypto. Only valued around $15 million.  20-30% under ICO price. great team and concept and should be launching first fund in January, so I'm looking for it to start taking off soon.  They raised $30 miillion in their ICO too, so they are well funded.

Re: SPECTRECOIN - XSPEC is the best anonymous coin?
by
vuego9
on 30/12/2017, 19:45:24 UTC
I think this coin should be recognized, it has been too long under the radar. I'm expecting massive 2018 for this gem. How do you see it?
It's a coin under the radar I will recognize that, however I'm not sure this means this the coin is the best, there are many other good anonymity coins out there doing some great things so the market isn't easy for a coin like this to flourish, it seems to me the coin will become successful in the next year but I have great doubts it can surpass the giants of dash and monero.

I don't think anyone thinks it'lll surpass dash or monero in price/coin in the next year or for some years, but I think we can see $10-30 within the next year easily. It already went from $1 to about $3.50 and it shouldn't be long now for it to reach $6-10 soon enough. The market cap is not that big, and the tech is good.

IMO, the dev team is honest, not heavily interested in shilling a crap coin, and are making steps in the right direction.

Btw, what are your thoughts on the blurb below?

Why XSPEC is the privacy coin of the future:
Has room for 10-100x growth by looking at market cap.
Implemented TOR + obfuscation (one and only in Crypto)
Stealth addresses
Encrypted Chat
BISQ DEX based on TOR implementation in couple of weeks
Stealth Addresses to be default using Ring Signatures tech (ala Monero)
Default Stealth Staking on desktop and mobile android phones

SpectreCoin (XSPEC) was created in 2016 in a genesis transaction with 95% of the 20 million XSPEC supply going to investors in its ICO. As of August 2017, ICOSTATS website ranks SpectreCoin as one of the best performing ICOs in history.

SpectreCoin features an energy-efficient proof-of-stake algorithm providing fast transaction confirmations and a fully integrated TOR+OBFS4 layer for network privacy almost anywhere in the world.

Spectrecoin’s Roadmap prioritizes privacy, security, and true decentralization. XSPEC will also further refine the desktop clients and add innovative features to the project such as low-power mobile wallet staking in the upcoming Android wallet.

XSPEC provides working stealth addresses (your address does not show up on the explorer) with extra features in the near future. Another interesting unique feature, or even, bonus, is that there are no fees associated to sending XSPEC, and 30 second transactions.

The entire “privacy coin” sector is gaining fast and all of them have large to huge market caps, which does in some sense, limit the size of the gains one can expect. Thus, it is it clear that Spectrecoin (XSPEC) is the privacy coin with the greatest growth potential.

Thanks for the details, shazbot.  Appreciate your thoroughness. Will investigate further.

Re: So many new ICO, how to check if it's scam?
by

Personally, I don't trust ICO directory site ratings....  They all pocket money for listings and the more they get paid the more likely the "review" is good.  I say, do your own research.  Just because an ICO site gave a high rating, I would not trust it at ALL.  If the ICO review site takes NO money for ICO listings/reviews, maybe you can trust them, but how do you really know anyway?

Why do so many people confuse price of a coin with value?  IMO you should never choose crypto based on its price- that just reflects how many coins they happened to mint.  Market cap is a better metric of value.

How about coins to consider with market cap under $15 million?

My biggest fear is that i lose my coins by doing something stupid.  It's still too easy to make costly mistakes with crypto.
