Q. Will Musiconomi run on the Musicoin blockchain?
A. (Danp) Short answer-No! As of now, well be using the Ethereum blockchain.
Long answer- This is something that we have discussed heavily within the team. Initially the MCI team met each other (To know how they met check out this blog post) trying to build Musicoin blockchain. Our initial plan was to leverage the Musicoin blockchain and to build a musiconomi platform on top of that.
After the formation of Musiconomi, we had a lot of discussion with the community and our advisors. And in turn, we started to realise there are better reasons to use a single blockchain (like ethereum for example) instead of using two different blockchains as it can lead to a lot of confusion among the users of the musiconomi platform. Also having to deal with two different chains behind the scene would add more complexity in terms of development (causing the project to be delayed further). Using ethereum blockchain means that we can leverage all of the ecosystem that has been building up so far which would benefit us in reducing our time to hit the market.
Therefore, looking at it from all of the above point of view it becomes clear to us to use a single blockchain. So far, we are going ahead with Ethereum. But this is not set in stone. Ultimately well use whatever is best for the musiconomi project in terms of its investors, listeners and artists.

Why cant I buy MCI tokens with $MUSIC?
Musiconomi will run on the Ethereum blockchain, the crowdsale will happen on the Ethereum blockchain and Musicoin ($MUSIC) will not be accepted as payment for tokens. The market cap of the Musicoin blockchain is not yet high enough to support a crowdsale. We considered accepting both $MUSIC and ETH, however running a crowdsale across multiple digital currencies is problematic, especially if the price fluctuates during the crowdsale.

Its always the same bs on every thread with a coin that is experiencing a downtrend. I saw it on antshare, pivx, zcoin etc. Always some donkey whining about the coin is dying. But soon as there is an upward trend you never hear from this dumbasses till there is another downtrend.
The dev has kept the tech updated, and has updated us about minereum v2. What else do you need em to tell you? Do you need an advice to hold on to your coins, till there is an upward trend? Like I said before, if you cant hold, sell your bag and move on to the next one. whining and taking up thread space is not helping anyone.
Also those yapping about the dev owning a bunch of gen address, that just a speculation and not a proven fact, so like I said before, this is not an ico/ipo coin, where money was given to the dev. This was freely airdropped. The dev owes you nothing but keeping the tech up to date. Some of you whiners that complain about marketing/ social media manager, can do the community a favor and hire someone to help with that.

Some people are invested and all they ask is some info every now and then. Not holding hands. Does dev need to be here every day; no. Could he tell more about his projects, upcoming and long term like world game? Yeah he should. By doing that, the symbiose between developing and investing would be healthy. Even to the point where community is more than willing to promote. Now i wouldnt even know what to promote but: if you like silence, this is the place.
